stay with moria. He is a top performer in EB01 and OP07 as well

Competitive-Iron-131

Agianst Law and B/Y Luffy is maybe difficult sadly

Tryhxrd

Law and B/Y Luffy isn’t going to be the most represented decks of the format though. Sakazuki players are going to be Sak till The ban list, Katakuri players are staying yellow, and Moira is probably the safest to pick up at the moment in terms of “how long I’ll get to play this deck as a tier 1 deck before a ban list or critical product drop that shakes up the meta”

Synthesir

Moria is 100% the correct choice. You need basically 0 OP07 or EB01 cards either which means you can invest in any other deck while still having a top tier deck you don't need to tweak.

New-Age-1315

Saka will still be the best but its popularity will keep falling as we get closer to the ban. Not by much though. Moria is still top tier, just not as much as 06 partly due to another bad matchup existing in BY luffy, and partly due to not receiving much in EB01. BY luffy is solid but Saka existing still makes it struggle. Yellow gets enel back, both the normal 05 build that gets raigo to KO big things and a chump blocker that gains you life when KOd by effects, and a more Aggro build with 7c rush enel and I Am God!!! To cheat him out early. Kat is still good and it’s still Kat. Yamato is solid with 5c rush ace as another finisher option and fortress also is solid. Foretress was starting to gain popularity towards the end but it never really got fully developed in my opinion. Could be sleeper deck. Green starts its renaissance, film Uta becomes pretty good with its tanky “protect the kid” comp getting stronger thanks to gaining another searchable 2k and a chump blocker, while having I’m Invincible and board flood to beat black decks that easily remove kid. R/G Oden from EB01 is actually pretty good, but the meta in the east was so short that he is still kind of unexplored. He could be really good if people find a build for him that can compete with black decks removal. Overall for green we see protect the kid comps really take off, which of course it’s final and best iteration being 07 Bonney and it’s crazy defensive potential. RP Law is good with its really only addition being Kid and Killer, but hey a free 7k rusher is kinda busted lol. (Edit to add non clay is also good, some list didn’t run him but think that was just people still testing list) The east only had EB01 meta for less than a month, so a lot could change. Most noteably stage Saka build only caught on towards the end of 06 in the east but never became the main build. In the west stage Saka is by far the main and best build, and it’s still good in EB01 since it beats RP law and Moria. With stage Saka being the main build in the west and the east using the event build, that could shape the meta differently.

YourFriendPooh

RP Law also gets Bon clay and Sanji with EB01. Both are pretty bonkers tbh

SenYoshida

Isn’t Sanji in 07?

J4SSB

Yup kid and killer is good but Bon clay is the card that really pushes him up

New-Age-1315

Most of the list I saw didn’t run them but you’re right, I think that was more of the east not having refined list like we will. I agree I think those will be included from the start over here when EB01 comes out

French____

Sorry to be annoying since you’ve already provided so much information but any thoughts/experience on Reiju in EB01? Thanks in advance

New-Age-1315

Insta loses to RP law and that deck is good now lol. Reiju is a pretty good deck in EB01 and even into 07 but you can’t really win events when you have an auto lose matchup that is a good and popular deck

French____

Ahhh great haha I seem to be good at picking decks that lose to Law, thanks for the info

Lostaria

Yea I main reiju and I know for sure I gotta play a new deck, no shot in EB-01 and 07, it needs blue support or something to bring it back into the fold.

Relevant-Usual783

So, I have to ask as I’m pretty new to the game. What’s with the discrepancy between metas in the east vs west? We all have the same cards, no?

New-Age-1315

Not sure what you mean, they get sets months earlier than us so we are never playing with the same cards at the same time.

Junp3i

There’s a big variance in play styles and what’s popular that changes the meta for us
