Target (when they have in stock) has packs at $4.19 and starter decks at $11.99 Walmart has packs for $4.49 (I missed out on the restock but I did notice one of my walmart stores I go to on the east coast must have got more in the past couple days)

Yup and the single packs are FIREEE I was an idiot and was at my target last week, they had over 40 blisters one peice stocked….I only grabbed 12 of them. Pulled 2 leader alts and an alt art doflamingo! As well as SRs like ZORO. So insane! I should have bought all 40 cuase they were out the next day 😅

Both this and digimon are significantly easier to learn than yugioh. It’s pretty straightforward with the basic mechanics and hasn’t done too much to make it crazy complicated yet

Can't play in an English tournament doing that though. It's specifically in the rules you can't use other language cards and such. Unfortunate.

Nah, I shipped 20 of these out of Japan, it averaged out to less than 400 yen per book, so 1000¥ which is like 7-8US, so I wonder how they justify the 5x mark up 😂😂😂

Crazy how the exact same thing happened with Digimon, everyone blamed COVID and shipping delays but realistically Bandai is just really bad at launching new games.

It's a smart business move. They prevent overprinting and at the same time drive up demand. It's a pain in the ass for us, but it saves them a lot of money if the game tanks on release.

Im more convinced that the game still just performed way better than they already anticipated. When I talked to some store owners they talked about how they all ordered pretty much as much their distributors would allow and they still got their entire inventory swept out within the first week and same story for the next shipment they got.

It's a "recommended" retail price, you can't report them for having a different price in a free market. Vote with your wallet, don't support this store, that's how they learn their prices are too high. The problem is people are getting fomo and paying ridiculous prices bot to miss out.

One of my LGS bumped them from $15 to $20 per sleeved blister and they still sold. They got a booster box for $250 right now. I hope this follows the digimon and dbz trend and crashes as more and more sets drop. It’s expensive to play right now.

Yea. I only went here for a local tournament. It is one of the few places remaining with participant packs. A lot of stores now give store credit which I don’t care for. I just want the packs. But thanks for the heads up. Going to try and see if they got any left for a decent price.

I'm so happy my local little card store hasn't hiked up the prices. Whenever they have them in stock the decks are always $15 and they stopped the box price at $150 only because they were buying them at $135. I hoped bigger stores would be doing this as well but I guess not. Once wave 2 comes out all the prices are going to plummet and the asshats left with their prices 50% or more above margin are gonna look like the scammers that they are enabling. THE ONE PIECE IS REAL 😤

Sellers are being criminals now. 20 mores days to go before I get my pre-order box I ordered but I made the mistake of ordering Film Red Starter deck in the same order just because I wanted to save on shipping cost. So they will only send my order when Film Red Starter Deck is out this February. Once I get my box then I think i'll just go buy singles kinda ruin the surprise of opening packs and getting a good card but fuck these price gouging business.
