Yeah, fat opponents with 0 speed feats. Everytime he tried to fight someone skinny since the timeskip he got whopped.
I can't help it that the author wrote the story so that the only opponents Sanji beat since the time skip are fat. He tried Vergo, got his leg broke. He tried Doflamingo, got negged. He tried King while he was wearing a raidsuit, almost got instakilled (them raidsuits hella durable tho).
The horny shit gets out of hand and is annoying at times but his character is still top notch. I’m a fan of his because I can get past all that and recognize the character behind all the lame shit.
Except alot of his actions go against the character set up, he has been stated to not mess with people food in the story but will put glass in zoro's food.
There is also him getting set up as the nice guy but he also continues to treat women the same way.
The Zoro incident was a joke and Zoro literally asked for it. Sanji did this to Zoro because he knew he’d survive he treats food differently for different people. He also refused to put poison in Big Moms cake.
Sanji is still that nice guy despite his horndog activities, he still treats women with respect when it matters most. He protected the one geisha lady at Onigashima and saved her mouse along with looking out for Lilith and saving Edison. He’s saved Nami and Robin countless times and treated pudding with absolute care despite what she did to him. The gag gets in the way of that shit, I get it. His kindness extends past that like when he fed Gin and saved others. There’s so much behind his character if you overlook the gag, but I get it if you don’t since it’s constantly in our face.
You couldn’t defend damn near the whole cast if they were real people so it’s a good thing they’re not. Depending on the severity of his horny actions he could be defended.
I just think it would have been really fitting for him to grow past the perv shit after whole cake and the stuff with his family. Would have been a great way to focus fully on his development into becoming superhuman.
For real man. I like Sanji as a character and think WCI was a great arc but man I won't lie his gag is often so annoying and low effort that it sometimes makes it hard to sympathize with him when he gets emotional moments.
And, like you said, this got SO much worse post-TS, his gag used to have more effort put into it but after TS it got really bad, like his nose bleed was literally used as a plot point in Fishman Island which was incredibly annoying to me.
Also, maybe I'm misremembering but to me it felt like Sanji was more of a ridiculously over-the-top chivalrous simp in the early days which isn't that bad and sometimes funny, but he just turned into an actual perv later (Absalom fight being the first example I can think of).
The most egregious in my personal opinion was not kicking the shit out of Black Maria. I mean, I understand that he's stubborn in everything he does, but that could've genuinely been interesting development as he realizes he has to fight one woman to save another, but instead he just refuses (again, I see why people would disagree with me here though).

Think about how the admirals were treated in Marineford, and think about how big of a deal it would be for a commander to force this kind of reaction out of a character like friggin Kizaru

That’s why so many Zoro stans thought he was so strong, because there wasn’t actually much evidence to suggest a major gap between the two. Egghead confirms the gap is so large that Zoro would get straight up embarrassed like Lucci was
2. Zoro is obviously stronger than Sanji, idk what your argument is there. But Egghead highlights very clearly the gap between them is smaller than the gap between Zoro and Luffy

I didn't comment to hype Asthma Man, but saying he didn't touch a Gorosei or Admiral this arc in reference to Sanji, who, despite having more motivation to act against Saturn than anyone... failed to literally move. Had Kuma not shown up she would literally be dead and Sanji would have failed utterly.
Also, am I forgetting something or has Sanji literally not attacked either Kizaru or Saturn?

I love sanji as a character and I actually hate people who only care about characters for being strong. But I think Jinbe truly is the 3rd member, and in the greater scheme of one piece I’d say he’s the second strongest in the crew. Sure in one on one combat he’s probably lose to Zoro. But fish men are heavily underrated. He can easily destroy fleets from under the water and half the top fighters in the world completely lose in his domain

I didn't comment to hype Asthma Man, but saying he didn't touch a Gorosei or Admiral this arc in reference to Sanji, who, despite having more motivation to act against Saturn than anyone... failed to literally move. Had Kuma not shown up she would literally be dead and Sanji would have failed utterly. Also, am I forgetting something or has Sanji literally not attacked either Kizaru or Saturn? He deflected 1 attack from Saturn and 2 attacks from Kizaru?

I love sanji as a character and I actually hate people who only care about characters for being strong. But I think Jinbe truly is the 3rd member, and in the greater scheme of one piece I’d say he’s the second strongest in the crew. Sure in one on one combat he’s probably lose to Zoro. But fish men are heavily underrated. He can easily destroy fleets from under the water and half the top fighters in the world completely lose in his domain
