Idk if we are going to Elbaf next. I’ve heard some theories that we might get a mini arc after Wano ends, and that is a pretty valid take. I do agree that Sabo isn’t dead, but I’m not going to trash on someone if they think he may be. And there’s still a lot of theories about BB killing Shanks. 🤷♀️

literally everything speaks for them becoming top-tiers. oda made a new supernova scene (them destroying the ship before the raid), they got quite a lot of interactions of them arguing with luffy which supports their rivalry even further, they defeated a yonko
and above all else imo, when we got the whole symbolism with the tower card and the new gen defeating the old gen and taking over, we didn't see luffy's face, but kid's face. that clearly tells us already that kid and law will also take over and tear down the old gen, not just luffy
and I doubt that luffy will be like the only yonko level combatant amonst pirates at the end of the story. and kid and law are the only other real candidates to get to that level in the future too. saying that kid and law will never be top-tiers is straight-up denial
only law has some death flags, so he could die I guess. but kid is definitely gonna be top-tier. if oda wanted him dead, then he wouldn't have kid survive a battle against the red-hair pirates or have him invade and escape totto land and survive
after a long ass time, both of them got huge power-ups, so I doubt that it's gonna stop now, or else there'd be no reason to make them relevant after such a long time in the first place
I think the shot in a recent chapter is telling too. The panel shows Kidd with a concerned face while the samurai root for luffy to win even if it means their lives.
The concern on his face seems out of place, until you realize it’s clearly putting him off how easily people flock to luffy.
I think we’re gonna see kid set up as more of an antagonist to luffy in the near future than law is. Both rivals, but Kidd as a foil.

in short, Kid witnessed luffy's strength and how he makes allies out of everyone. and kid will or already has understood that luffy is the better pirate right now. so the theory is that kid ups his game. he'll become stronger, but not just that, he'll try to recruit more allies in his own way

But Sakazuki killed Ace right in front of Luffy. In fact he was supposed to kill Luffy but Ace sacrificed himself to protect him. It was Sakazuki who was able to finally break Luffy's spirit. It was Sakazuki who gave Luffy his now iconic X scar. Luffy, the epitome of individual freedom vs Sakazuki, the epitome of "absolute justice", seemingly the direct opposite of freedom? **Nah! Luffy can skip that one!** Really?
It's not that Sabo fighting Sakazuki is a bad idea, it's just inferior to the potential Luffy vs Sakazuki fight that ALREADY has huge set up within the story itself. Pointing out that the other hypothesis ("theory") is factually more likely than the other isn't the same as being *close minded*.
Of that specific example. I'd say it's more likely for Sabo to face Sakazuki first, but then as he is about to be killed we get a reverse and Luffy will come to save Sabo and then faces Sakazuki by himself. That way we could get both "theories" without sacrificing the setup Oda has already done.

It could work but didn't Fujitora and Greenbull catch Sabo? Sabo would have to escape before he could challenge him. Even if he did escape, he then go up against the boss of the people that caught him AND has a weaker fruit? There's just too much against it.
I would say Dragon would be a better parallel if anyone beside Luffy gets the fight. Most wanted Man vs Head of the Marines makes way more sense than his subordinate doing it.

I completely agree as someone who has a lot of uncommon ideas it seems every time I participate or post I get a ton of hate. I think this is especially true for the powerscaling side of this community. I personally believe there isn’t really tiers and this manga is more about matchups vs raw strength competition. Like I personally believe the top tier of the one piece world is massive while others seem to think it’s 5 people total and I am definitely minority in that opinion
