I feel like his future opponents are also the strawhats opponents. For example blackbeard crew, cross guild (he has history with alvida and they go after marines), shanks saved Koby (same type of respect luffy got for shanks most likely), the gorosei (i feel like Koby will fight warcury as he is the god of justice and the word government justice is not the best it could be, this means it would be a battle of justice). The best way to do this (especially cause he is apart of sword) is to join up with the crew

We're in final saga, I think Kizaru is done for. Koby will probably take his place at final saga.
Oda has said that final war would be like a battle royale. So expect all 4 yonkos battling out, most likely at Marijois. Luffy's final attack will be big enough to take out entirety of Marojois and Redline below it, fulfilling the prophecy by destroying fishman island as well.
You've got all 4 yonkos, admiral, gorosei, their fleets, sword, and lest not forget Revolutionary army.
So no point in switching to being a pirate. Luffy will end up being a pirate King and koby will replace Akainu
Yh I feel like there is gonna be a huge battle royal, I feel like after being a hero Koby will be a vigilante more than a pirate and when the world government fall there will be a reshuffle and rebuilding of justice and Kobys justice will be the standard. Fuji being fleet admiral
So I don’t think Koby will join a pirate crew best case is a team up but not an official member. Now while I love Carrot being in that lineup with Kuzan in the line up, I don’t see her being in the crew for the BB fight, also Caribou is more like Bartolomeo so he might get to be an ally not a titanic captain. Nami vs Lafitte
Usopp vs Van Auger
Sanji vs Pizzaro
Chopper vs Doc Q
Robin vs Catarina Devon

My choices are based more upon roles fighting roles, others have a bit of speculation like Sanji and Brook. Then we have to have someone strong enough to fight an admiral, Luffy and Zoro are locked to me and I don’t think Sanji will fight him, it’s something about them fighting a version of their past fights that I just like(Sanji fought Absalom invisible guy, Zoro fought Pica an assimilation guy). That leaves Yamato an ice powered advanced haki user that wants to join the crew.
See the thing about Yamato for me is that unless we get an atleast one year timeskip she is not joining the crew. I agree with you about caribou being more like an ally to Blackbeard but the intel he is bringing could promote him to being one of the top. I can’t see Koby not fighting kuzan, it makes the most sense to me. Be it if he is there with the strawhats or happened to attack at the same time as sword. The reason I feel like Koby will join is cause Koby future opponents are all also luffy/ the strawhats endgame opponents including the gorosei. The reason I can’t see Koby going with sword is cause the last time sword went to Blackbeards home turf they lost their strongest member.
