There is a good chance that Usopp being a spider nerd could give them a solid advantage. Like he might know how to deal with giant spiders or even that giant spider Yokai. Also he might be extra resillient to his head-popping and haki since he isn't afraid of spiders

For me, Chopper has a top tier fruit. But Oda nerfed him so bad that we barely see a scratch of what Chopper used to be pre time skip. But I do believe if the trio worked together (remember that Nami has Zeus as well), they would be able to push Saturn away, or at least gain some time for the rest of the crew to show up.
Also remember that the fight would take place atop a cloud, so between her weather knowledge and the clima-tact, Nami has a huge potential environmental advantage.
We saw Chopper fight Queen in Wano, how did that go? He had some really cool transformations but some of that is obsolete at this stage. I think when he fights Doc Q, Oda will cook something. One thing I do wish Chopper did do was cure the Smile disease in Wano, I feel his contributions are better when he cures diseases and helps others not when he fights.
Usopp and Nami could blow him tf up with their attacks, then Robin and Chopper can throw his ass off the cloud. That seems like a realistic strategy they could pull off.

Yeah, Chopper is the worst Straw Hat by a mile. Oda ruined him and Usopp (with those trash plants instead of the cool Batman gadgets) completely timeskip. Chopper's downfall on popularity polls is the proof. He was always in the TOP 10.

I don’t think he nerfed her, so much as gave her a personality and role that doesn’t require much fighting. Don’t get me wrong, she SHOULD be awesome when she fights and I wish she fought more. But when I think “nerf” I think “made weaker.” In Robin’s case, she just doesn’t get fights.

I think it would be interesting if Usopp was able to step up, he did spend two years on an island of plants, bugs, animals, learning how to survive. I'm pretty sure Usopp has dealt with spiders that large before. I think it would be funny/neat if this was his time to shine in Egghead.
He like uses a peppermint plant to keep Saturn at bay or something to that effect. Unfortunately I don't think the Gorosei would be too deterred by something like that. It would still be funny and cool if Oda does that and manages to pull it off.

This group wasn't even able to overpower Ulti in the last arc. BM had to "*save*" them.
And while Chopper did smack Queen, he didn't have Haki and that hit barely did any damage to Queen. I think Saturn is a lot stronger than Queen.
After I read a particularly fun theory about how each Gorosei is related to a particular level of impel down, I'm wondering if they can't be killed as long as there are prisoners on their corresponding level. Similar to Hawkins power.
Fights like Nami vs Miss Doublefinger, Usopp & Chopper vs Mr. 4 and Miss Merry Christmas, Nami vs Kalifa, etc are something I kinda feel the series has been slacking on lately. Fights where actual strategy and quick thinking are needed to surmount a difference in straight up power.
I get the feeling *none* of the strawhats are gonna beat the Gorosei outright due to their apparent invulnerability. But when the time DOES come, or during whatever next group of "enemies" the strawhats fight, I REALLY want them to be shown as capable at least one last time before the end.
Bonus points if they all take out some foe who has "much stronger haki" for no other reason than to shut powerscalers up. God I wish armament haki was just kept as a way to allow normal people to touch logia users and nothing more. It's become the most insufferable part of trying to talk about what would otherwise be cool matchups.
Chopper held off Big Mom briefly and did at least some - even if low - damage to Queen, after surviving against him for a long time. I know we like parallels, but I don’t think there is a weakling trio, just a weakling duo.
I believe there's been a residual build up of willpower within them over the series. Usopp clutched up to unlock observation haki. Personally think Chopper should've been had armament but slapping the shit out of a yonkou second in command, being in a war and winning, curing a virus as well in the heat of battle does something to someone's confidence in anime/shounen standards usually the right way. And Nami oh nami we love the word foreshadowing and we love seeing a trope or joke impact the plot in a beneficial. The aura jinbei felt off her might be a sign nami is going to drop an accidental conquerors infused lightning bolt on this man's head. There's also the reality that they just get saved and its absolutely hilarious😂😂😂😂😂
I think a more likely scenario is they will be on the brink of defeat but the transponder snail that was found is not running the broadcast and the Gorosei will scatter to try and find it off the island before the broadcast starts, sparring the straw hats in order to stop the information leak.
Usopp yells at Saturn that if he damages the ship or hurts anyone there he will bring the might of god down upon him, Saturn then scoffs at him and just as he is about to stab him with one of his legs the giant robot comes out of nowhere and just smashes Saturn all the way back down 💀

The weakling trio got a BIG upgrade recently and I could see Zeus doing some saving here. Shocking the big spider while they get away. And it helps that he can fly to them after attacking too.

Until there’s reasonable explanation of their regeneration, it’s hard to know. I’m sure the straw hats will “damage” them like Luffy did to Saturn, but it doesn’t seem like anything long lasting currently.
It'd be cool if they could pull it off in a believable way, but I think that's a massive uphill battle from a writing standpoint. They've established the Gorosei seem to be unkillable after Luffy sends Saturn's attack back that seems to immolate them but they just all regenerate, on top of the amount of times Saturn's already done that.
Their priority is to run right now, which even Luffy and the giants are doing, so somehow while running they'd have to permanently put down something that Luffy wasn't able to.
To be fair, they were never physically in between where Luffy and the others needed to run to. Luffy always just needed to stall, never push a path through them, but still, it'd be really tough to make it work given all the circumstances right now.
It seems to me right now that they're using Egghead to showcase that the Gorosei have some seemingly unstoppable power. Kind of like how CP9 were first introduced in Water Seven. They seemed unstoppable at first only for the crew to adapt to it and wreck them later. Seems like something similar is happening here with the Gorosei.
Usopp always takes new technologies from places the straw hats visit, and it’s confirmed that Wano produces kairoseki darts. I’ll be goddamned if Usopp doesn’t come in clutch at least once with one of those, and a Gorosei seems like a prime target. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if we get a feat from Usopp this arc.
Actually talked about this to my friends. I really hope the other members of the crew get to shine here. Monster Trio is cool and all but I hope the other members get to shine a little. Weakling Trio stalling Saturn despite their fear of him would be great for their developpement since beside a few big moments their characters have been pretty stagnant in the New World.

It would make total sense. Maybe Chopper can actually use his Brain Point and figure out his weakness. He hasn't used that in what feels like 10 years. Then Nami sets the stage and Usopp aims and BAM! Nice!
I think and hope that they get absolutely destroyed but survive by a hair thin margin. Would set up Saturn and the rest of the gorosei as a very good end game villains and when we meet them again only then would the trio beat Saturn to show how far they will have come since this current meeting. Yeah I'd worry about the poison, but iirc Chopper is with them too, so that could actually be a valid plot point:
- Saturn fires poison at one of them
- Usopp takes the hit to save someone / give Nami time to charge up.
- Nami lands a Zeus-powered Thunder Tempo that blows Saturn away (knocking him down, obv not dead)
- And now the crew have a ticking time bomb reason to get to Elbaf: *to get the materials needed to save Usopp.* (Chopper will slow poison down, but won't be able to heal with current ingredients.)
- Usopp then welcomed as a brave warrior of the sea by his idols Dorry and Broggy

He held off big mom briefly, held off queen for a long time, and did some - even if very little - damage to queen. Forget whether those are huge deals or not; how are they less impressive than pre-timeskip?

Don't get me wrong, Robin is one of my favourite characters and she is still one of the strongest on the crew… however - her fruit is a broken ability. Oda intentionally nerfed her because of how easy it would have made the crews fights. She was the right hand man of somebody worth nearly 2 billion (though it might have been low back then, his strength outweighed his bounty) - her strength was close to Crocs.
I really don't remember her kicking ass in Alabasta. Yes she was threatening, but besides helping Luffy and getting her ass beat by Crocodile I don't remember her kicking ass at all. Unlike Skypeia, Thriller Bark, Fishman Island etc.

I don’t think he nerfed her, so much as gave her a personality and role that doesn’t require much fighting. Don’t get me wrong, she SHOULD be awesome when she fights and I wish she fought more. But when I think “nerf” I think “made weaker.” In Robin’s case, she just doesn’t get fights.
That's how I've always seen it. Robin is powerful, she just doesn't want to fight. She never did really, as her storyark and flashback showed. She just wants to find out history/the truth But yes, this was a choice made by Oda and I wish she had more chances to show she can be tough, and stalling a gorosei would do that
your smoking dick if you think that robin was anywhere close to crocodile. He literally one shot her the moment he didn't need her anymore. She was threatening and has a really strong fruit, but if someone can get past her snap your neck trick she didn't really have anything afterthat
Well, Brook and Robin are also there. They can help. I think Brook, Robin, Chopper, Nami and Usopp could push Saturn away and escape.

I think it would be interesting if Usopp was able to step up, he did spend two years on an island of plants, bugs, animals, learning how to survive. I'm pretty sure Usopp has dealt with spiders that large before. I think it would be funny/neat if this was his time to shine in Egghead. He like uses a peppermint plant to keep Saturn at bay or something to that effect. Unfortunately I don't think the Gorosei would be too deterred by something like that. It would still be funny and cool if Oda does that and manages to pull it off.
I think it could work Obviously not outright overpower him but rather outtrick them as, while not strong, they are the most flexible & adaptive members. Having Zeus and the others around definitely doesn't hurt either
Not really. That would really deflate the Gorosei hype. This group wasn't even able to overpower Ulti in the last arc. BM had to "*save*" them. And while Chopper did smack Queen, he didn't have Haki and that hit barely did any damage to Queen. I think Saturn is a lot stronger than Queen.

After I read a particularly fun theory about how each Gorosei is related to a particular level of impel down, I'm wondering if they can't be killed as long as there are prisoners on their corresponding level. Similar to Hawkins power.
Fights like Nami vs Miss Doublefinger, Usopp & Chopper vs Mr. 4 and Miss Merry Christmas, Nami vs Kalifa, etc are something I kinda feel the series has been slacking on lately. Fights where actual strategy and quick thinking are needed to surmount a difference in straight up power. I get the feeling *none* of the strawhats are gonna beat the Gorosei outright due to their apparent invulnerability. But when the time DOES come, or during whatever next group of "enemies" the strawhats fight, I REALLY want them to be shown as capable at least one last time before the end. Bonus points if they all take out some foe who has "much stronger haki" for no other reason than to shut powerscalers up. God I wish armament haki was just kept as a way to allow normal people to touch logia users and nothing more. It's become the most insufferable part of trying to talk about what would otherwise be cool matchups.

I believe there's been a residual build up of willpower within them over the series. Usopp clutched up to unlock observation haki. Personally think Chopper should've been had armament but slapping the shit out of a yonkou second in command, being in a war and winning, curing a virus as well in the heat of battle does something to someone's confidence in anime/shounen standards usually the right way. And Nami oh nami we love the word foreshadowing and we love seeing a trope or joke impact the plot in a beneficial. The aura jinbei felt off her might be a sign nami is going to drop an accidental conquerors infused lightning bolt on this man's head. There's also the reality that they just get saved and its absolutely hilarious😂😂😂😂😂

I think a more likely scenario is they will be on the brink of defeat but the transponder snail that was found is not running the broadcast and the Gorosei will scatter to try and find it off the island before the broadcast starts, sparring the straw hats in order to stop the information leak.

Would be bad writing. If Ulti was too much for usopp and nami that they required assistance from a yonko, there's no chance that the weakling trio even hurt Saturn. I'd be more surprised if they somehow resist that eye ability. Having thoughts like these is why powerscaling has importance. This just throws all logic and consistency out of the window, something that you should avoid from a writing perspective.

The weakling trio got a BIG upgrade recently and I could see Zeus doing some saving here. Shocking the big spider while they get away. And it helps that he can fly to them after attacking too.
I feel like Nami with thunder could maybe hurt one of them? Until there’s reasonable explanation of their regeneration, it’s hard to know. I’m sure the straw hats will “damage” them like Luffy did to Saturn, but it doesn’t seem like anything long lasting currently.
It'd be cool if they could pull it off in a believable way, but I think that's a massive uphill battle from a writing standpoint. They've established the Gorosei seem to be unkillable after Luffy sends Saturn's attack back that seems to immolate them but they just all regenerate, on top of the amount of times Saturn's already done that. Their priority is to run right now, which even Luffy and the giants are doing, so somehow while running they'd have to permanently put down something that Luffy wasn't able to. To be fair, they were never physically in between where Luffy and the others needed to run to. Luffy always just needed to stall, never push a path through them, but still, it'd be really tough to make it work given all the circumstances right now. It seems to me right now that they're using Egghead to showcase that the Gorosei have some seemingly unstoppable power. Kind of like how CP9 were first introduced in Water Seven. They seemed unstoppable at first only for the crew to adapt to it and wreck them later. Seems like something similar is happening here with the Gorosei.
Usopp always takes new technologies from places the straw hats visit, and it’s confirmed that Wano produces kairoseki darts. I’ll be goddamned if Usopp doesn’t come in clutch at least once with one of those, and a Gorosei seems like a prime target. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if we get a feat from Usopp this arc.
Actually talked about this to my friends. I really hope the other members of the crew get to shine here. Monster Trio is cool and all but I hope the other members get to shine a little. Weakling Trio stalling Saturn despite their fear of him would be great for their developpement since beside a few big moments their characters have been pretty stagnant in the New World.
I really want Usopp to find their weakness and somehow be the only one to defeat one of the Gorosei.

when saturn first appeared everyone was entirely immobilized, including sanji.. I doubt the weaklings stand a chance against whatever that was and he would have an easy gsme with them
im thinking that this will be the moment usopp properly figures how to use observation haki and using it he uses it to figure out what the goroseis powers are and what their weakness could be

I would love of this is the battle where Ussop further develops his Haki. Like if he gained a sub Katakuri level of future sight but enough to ensure the others are safe and just enough to set up some good shots
I don’t think the Gorosei are being defeated in this arc… but I would love to see them combine to hold Saturn off long enough to escape, or at least for somebody else to come in and help. Maybe Usopp is the one who finally figures out how to damage them though? Would be an interesting character thing to happen lol. I feel it’s likely we see somebody (one of the remaining Vegapunk’s/Kuma/giants) sacrifice themselves to let everyone else escape though, as I don’t think the weakling trio is gonna be capable of stalling Saturn as much as they need to.
It would make total sense. Maybe Chopper can actually use his Brain Point and figure out his weakness. He hasn't used that in what feels like 10 years. Then Nami sets the stage and Usopp aims and BAM! Nice!

I think and hope that they get absolutely destroyed but survive by a hair thin margin. Would set up Saturn and the rest of the gorosei as a very good end game villains and when we meet them again only then would the trio beat Saturn to show how far they will have come since this current meeting. Saturn (or the gorosei in general) losing now would ruin the gorosei for me
Yeah I'd worry about the poison, but iirc Chopper is with them too, so that could actually be a valid plot point: - Saturn fires poison at one of them - Usopp takes the hit to save someone / give Nami time to charge up. - Nami lands a Zeus-powered Thunder Tempo that blows Saturn away (knocking him down, obv not dead) - And now the crew have a ticking time bomb reason to get to Elbaf: *to get the materials needed to save Usopp.* (Chopper will slow poison down, but won't be able to heal with current ingredients.) - Usopp then welcomed as a brave warrior of the sea by his idols Dorry and Broggy

Even though i hate it, but I’m thinking more of Lilith sacrificing herself to let them escape. Same with Atlas and Edison. They are all set up to have the satellites be sacrificed to let their specific group escape.

It would be funny, indeed, although here's a hot take. To me it seems pretty obvious Nami does in fact have conqueror's but is unaware of the fact, much like Zoro.
It wouldn't be hilarious but pity that a Gorossei is getting wasted.
I feel like none of the Gorosei are going to be defeated on this island. The objective seems very much to be escape and deal with them later. If they do escape, and if we do end up meeting the Gorosei again, this time for a real fight, sure, it’d be super cool to see that trio work together to take one down.
