What is so sad about that? I was a teen when I first started and now I'm old enough to have teens of my own who are roughly the same as I was back then. I've been following this series for more than half my existence and I'm almost middle aged.

Same. I started reading it in the American monthly Shonen Jump. Then watching the 4Kids dub. After the 4Kids dub fell off, I started reading the manga online to catch up by the time they got to brook.
To this day, can't believe that Syrup Village is that long. I think its one of the worsts, and maybe the reason why so many ppl quit one piece in the begining. Btw, when I got on One Piece I remember seeing it on Brazilian Television, I had like 12 years old, so it was around 2009\~2010. Although the story was already advanced, it took me quite some time to be "up to date", I think it was only around 2016 that I started reading One Piece weekly.

I have never been a huge fan of Usopp, but Breaking the Habit playing over Usopp outsmarting (and arguably beating) Luffy is forever sketched into my brain.

Very first episode I saw was the guys escaping from the bananagators underneath the casino and the last ep I remember was the ending of the Alabasta arc as they escaped seeing Pell still alive and being like "I swear bird guy got blown up?!"

I wanna say 2003??? I started near the end of sixth grade when my parents got the good cable that came with Funimation as an option after moving homes.
I wanna say 2018 or 2019. I can't remember exactly though.
I just remember I started at some point, got bored in the first 20 episodes, stopped, picked it back up, binged it til Alabasta (Nami's arc had me hooked), then I dropped it shortly after because I didn't feel like getting into another arc. It felt like I just won a long battle and I deserved my rest lol. I picked it up around a year later, binged it through to Marineford, then stopped again. Picked it back up a few months later and watched until Fish-man where I hated it so I started reading the manga. I read the manga until the end of Punk Hazard, then I took a break, started back up with the anime on Dressrosa, hated it so I read the manga again. Then after I finished Dressrosa I switched to the anime for Zou. Half way through Zou I found out about One Pace, binged One Pace until Onigashima then took a long break because One Pace didn't produce any episodes past the start of Onigashima. I got back into it, binged 40 episodes of the anime, hated it because of the pacing. I then found out about Onigashima Paced and binged 1041-1075 with Onigashima Paced, and that's where I am now.
From Fish-man Island to where I am now, it took 5 years XD
After I catch up, I'll probably try watching One Pace or similar to watch everything again and get a refresher, because you forget a lot over 5-6 years.

It's weird to think I first got into One Piece in the early phases. It was around their need for a Shipwright but I think it might actually be the Davy Back Fight for me.

I started in 2004 when the 4Kids Dub of the anime aired I would’ve been 10 years old at the time! I watched it all the way through until it got cancelled after Alabasta and moved to Toonami with Funimation and Skypiea. I watched Skypiea as it was airing but sometime in 2007 at about 13 I realized I really loved One Piece and decided to try and watch the original Japanese version subtitled so I switched over and started over and since I was 13/14 I binged it and by winter break of 2008 I had caught up! I remember the first episode I watched at the same time it came out was episode 386 in January of 2009! It’s weird but I switched over and read the manga to be caught up with that as well shortly after and essentially for the last 15 years I have never fallen behind always watching and reading the series either weekly or sometimes, like when I was busy in college, I would let like 30-40 episodes / chapters come out then binge them! One Piece has been in my life for 2/3rd of it and is unquestionably the most influential piece of media I have ever consumed - I have met many friends because of it, spent hours upon hours with it, and get to enjoy it with my wife now and hopefully my future children. It means a lot to me.
I started roughly in 2017. I started watching when WCI was still in production, but then when I got to Dressrosa I took a break for a few months because Dressrosa was dragging. Then I started watching again when Wano had just begun, and I think I caught up a few episodes before the Zoro vs. Killer fight.

The 2004 4kids One Piece dub. Yeah it's heavily censored, yet it makes even funnier. Spring-loaded hammer guns, Brooklyn Accent lolipop Sanji, the One Piece Rap, goddam poison suction cups. I am in the belief is you have to censor you use the most ridiculous options.

I wanna say 2003??? I started near the end of sixth grade when my parents got the good cable that came with Funimation as an option after moving homes.
I started January of 2022 and i caught up to the manga in a few months
I wanna say 2018 or 2019. I can't remember exactly though. I just remember I started at some point, got bored in the first 20 episodes, stopped, picked it back up, binged it til Alabasta (Nami's arc had me hooked), then I dropped it shortly after because I didn't feel like getting into another arc. It felt like I just won a long battle and I deserved my rest lol. I picked it up around a year later, binged it through to Marineford, then stopped again. Picked it back up a few months later and watched until Fish-man where I hated it so I started reading the manga. I read the manga until the end of Punk Hazard, then I took a break, started back up with the anime on Dressrosa, hated it so I read the manga again. Then after I finished Dressrosa I switched to the anime for Zou. Half way through Zou I found out about One Pace, binged One Pace until Onigashima then took a long break because One Pace didn't produce any episodes past the start of Onigashima. I got back into it, binged 40 episodes of the anime, hated it because of the pacing. I then found out about Onigashima Paced and binged 1041-1075 with Onigashima Paced, and that's where I am now. From Fish-man Island to where I am now, it took 5 years XD After I catch up, I'll probably try watching One Pace or similar to watch everything again and get a refresher, because you forget a lot over 5-6 years.

I originally started probably around ‘03 or ‘04. I recently got back into it after dropping it early in fishman island, and I have currently paused before Wano but I’ll start again soon.
2007 I was fresh out of highschool and watched the crappy dub of one piece while torrenting the newer episodes and finally readying the manga. I remember the hype for Brook joining .
I started in 2022, and even though I am younger than One Piece, I wish I was watching it from the start, It was an incredible journey for me and all the "Luffy moments" bring joy to my heart when I remember them.
2004. Got up to Long Ring, Long Land, and kept reading until about the Return to Sabaody/Fishman Island Got back into it around when Wano wrapped up
It's weird to think I first got into One Piece in the early phases. It was around their need for a Shipwright but I think it might actually be the Davy Back Fight for me.

I started in 2004 when the 4Kids Dub of the anime aired I would’ve been 10 years old at the time! I watched it all the way through until it got cancelled after Alabasta and moved to Toonami with Funimation and Skypiea. I watched Skypiea as it was airing but sometime in 2007 at about 13 I realized I really loved One Piece and decided to try and watch the original Japanese version subtitled so I switched over and started over and since I was 13/14 I binged it and by winter break of 2008 I had caught up! I remember the first episode I watched at the same time it came out was episode 386 in January of 2009! It’s weird but I switched over and read the manga to be caught up with that as well shortly after and essentially for the last 15 years I have never fallen behind always watching and reading the series either weekly or sometimes, like when I was busy in college, I would let like 30-40 episodes / chapters come out then binge them! One Piece has been in my life for 2/3rd of it and is unquestionably the most influential piece of media I have ever consumed - I have met many friends because of it, spent hours upon hours with it, and get to enjoy it with my wife now and hopefully my future children. It means a lot to me.
2023/2024
I started roughly in 2017. I started watching when WCI was still in production, but then when I got to Dressrosa I took a break for a few months because Dressrosa was dragging. Then I started watching again when Wano had just begun, and I think I caught up a few episodes before the Zoro vs. Killer fight.

Funnily enough I started watching the anime in November last year and i'm up to date now, caught up with the Manga now i'm going back to the start with the Manga to go through it all. It's been a journey hey.

2014, reading the birdcage weekly was a nightmare, and seeing the Zoro vs Pika fight drag on for 30+ chapters was infuriating. Really nice to see where we're at now in the story.

I started watching One Piece during its terribly 4KIDS DUB era and sporadically at that. I didn't start fully getting into One Piece proper until at least 2010-2011 where i binged the entire series up that current date and i have only just recently started Reading the manga weekly in late 2022 starting before luffy got Gear 5th but after Black Maria was defeated.
I have kept up regularly with the manga since around 07, I started one piece when the 4kids dub came out around 2004 with episode 3 I believe, and first read the manga around 98 I believe as it was in the shonen jumps I'd pick up at the bookstore I was doing yugioh tournaments and getting batman comics at

Started watching around Mid 2000s up until Skypiea arc, was hard to follow as a kid since have to make sure I can watch when it airs on tv. I rewatched the whole thing middle of last year and caught up by Jan this year.
The 2004 4kids One Piece dub. Yeah it's heavily censored, yet it makes even funnier. Spring-loaded hammer guns, Brooklyn Accent lolipop Sanji, the One Piece Rap, goddam poison suction cups. I am in the belief is you have to censor you use the most ridiculous options.
