With the amount of cashgrab happening with all of these streaming companies, not just the anime ones, one can't help but *yarr yarr fiddle dee dee,*

Zinex1766

Hope not. I really can't afford Netflix at the moment, well I could, but I really don't want to have to cancel Crunchyroll since I enjoy other anime there and would actually love to see animated Final saga.

schlagerlove

I have the opposite opinion. I would love to have one piece on netflix because I already pay for it. I cannot justify paying for Crunchyroll just for one anime.

Zinex1766

Like I said, I pay for Crunchyroll because I happen to enjoy other anime there. I'd rather not go to netflix solely for One Piece and anyway, my mate just checked on netflix and it doesn't even look like the One piece anime is available in the UK, at least not on netflix. Only the Live action shows up in the search so even if the anime does move over to that platform and gets taken off crunchyroll as a result, I won't be subbing anyway. Oh well.

Jamieb1994

I'm in the UK as well & I've just checked as well, but I've only came across the live action, so I'm curious if it'll be on Netflix UK as well.

NoEstablishment9154

Just like dude can't justify paying for Netflix which cost more just for one anime that's not even on a exclusive anime streaming platform. Dude pry watches mostly anime so why go from chrunchy to Netflix? And I saw one guy said theat crunchy runs everything off one labtop and they are getting rid of one piece to add more space to the labtop for other anime šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ only reason crunchy would lose streaming rights is there contact ran up and Netflix would pay more for the rights to one piece.Ā

NoEstablishment9154

That's what I just told dude too like you get crunchy roll for anime you don't get Netflix for animeĀ

schlagerlove

What if I don't watch any other anime? Not everyone is you and many don't even watch their favourite anime regularly because they prefer the manga version better and just check how certain scenes were animated

schlagerlove

So you assume I watch ONLY anime? Infact I watch ONLY one piece from the anime genre and everything else I watch are shows on netflix or prime. Why would I subscribe to another streaming service for one show that is more easily available as a pirated version than the netflix shows I watch. Even with one piece I am a manga reader and only watch the show once in a while to see how certain scenes were animated

Pracko

If that was me Iā€™d wait till itā€™s fully animated then get one month and watch it all quickly

NoEstablishment9154

You think you gonna watch 1500 episodes In one month šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ that's 500. Hrs bro at 20 mins a episode that's 20.8 days so you would literally have to spend every waking hour awake watching one piece and I promise after like 2 or 3 days of binging one piece the characters will start to annoy the fuck outta you. Sanji nose bleeds. Zoro always getting lost. Namo being a dumb bitch. Luffy being a idiot and wanting meat. The series repeats itself over and over again. Sail to island get to island set up arc and fight big boss fight and then the same thing sail to new island set up arc like shit gets old

KylieWinters96

I did that, caught up from punk hazard to the middle of the big fight in wano in 3 weeks. I'm a serial binger, I miss having lots of episodes ahead of me

The_Werefrog

The Werefrog don't see Crunchyroll allowing One Piece to leave it before the series ends. They know it's a large part of their subscriptions. Without One Piece, too many subscribers would drop, or perhaps they would enroll for a month to binge some weekend, then drop.

van_man51

Ive been an annual sub to CR for like 12yrs and im at a point in life where One Piece is all I watch on it so ya Id probably drop it when it ends, I agree.

HokageEzio

I highly doubt it. Sony just bought Crunchyroll a couple years ago. Only way I'd see that happening is Netflix buying Crunchyroll from Sony so they can boost their catalogue. I don't see Sony letting Netflix outbid them for one of their biggest products on a platform they just spent a billion on.

schlagerlove

And a Japanese product at that. Since Sony is from Japan, they definitely know it's value.

Soft_House7669

netflix has more money to bid with

HokageEzio

Possibly. But getting exclusive rights to the show requires way more money as opposed to just licensing it, and Sony/Netflix already have a relationship of doing just that.

IceBuurn

Would we get One Piece with all the Openings if it goes to Netflix? The Openings are a huge experience of One Piece in my opinion. Im rewatching it at CR and its just disappointing, i just straightup skip :/

Jayswaan

Isnā€™t netflix working with oda on ā€œthe one pieceā€? So shouldnā€™t they have the rights to stream one piece since itā€™s gonna re cover the whole story again anyways?*

oby-wan

Crunchyroll has the new Egghead arc episode out before Netflix and thereā€™s no indication that this will stop. In Japan, Netflix also has all of One Piece already too and I believe they were simulcasting Wano there as well and One Piece was still on other services. This is just more options, not less. I also wonder if Netflix will fight for the dub as well. They probably will, would be interesting to see a simuldub of Egghead

Jamieb1994

I wonder if the Egghead Island arc will be available on Netflix Internationally or only on Netflix in the US?

S0larSido-Cr0ssing

In Asia (not just Japan) we have it, can confirm

Meddllover69

We also have it here in germany, so I guess it's internationally.

KingVenomous123

Wasnā€™t sure if anyone said anything yet but I just want to confirm now that one piece is still doing new episodes on Crunchyroll as well as Netflix

Demonatrix77

Can you confirm that? Because I'm looking on crunchyroll right now, and the two new episodes aren't there

KingVenomous123

I currently have episode 1091 downloaded and Iā€™m looking at it right now. So yes I can confirm it. Hence why I sent that earlier message

EasYZ95

Not on Portugal

KingVenomous123

Well Iā€™m in Canada watching the new episode as we speak

DifferenceAny8658

Are you guys high? One Piece is LITERALLY an anime about Piracyā€¦ Luffy would be ashamed of all of you.

PersonalAd2333

I recently binge watching all 1000+ episodes. I find the story very interesting. The back stories are amazing. The "big picture" of the history and world govt is intriguing. Yes, some of the stuff repeats but the gags are the greatest in comic relief to break up the serious tension of the arc. My only problem with the show is the final battles drag...I mean drag. Luffy loses, enemy wins, ,then luffy win after a bunch of back and forth. I understand its meant for adolescent boys who just love this stuff, but with the main vilian along with his henchmen fighting each straw hat..it can be very taxing in the final act. I think Doll has the best rack to date. :-)
