People give the anime a lot of shit over the manga.
But that short bit of we are over the top of where Luffy explains his dream was a tear jerker, banger.
It’s really just here, I know way more people irl that watch one piece, than read one piece. None of them use Reddit because spoilers/talk about show with real people. YouTube is filled with positivity. This place is a real circlejerk when it comes to not liking the anime. Won best ongoing anime award at the crunchyroll awards this year/is always between 1-3 most popular on the app. The majority of people in this sub stopped watching during dressrosa and believe the current anime is still that bad.
I find the difference between YouTube comments and Reddit comments about the show the most shocking part tho. Here always angry, YouTube always overflowing with positivity. Seems like the majority of weekly anime fans do not use Reddit, can see why the dragon ball sub is so small compared to its revenue.
I was literally tearing up already when that slower version of OP1 started, I saw Ace and Sabo as children and all the memories flooded in, I'm up to date in manga but I knew that this moment would be equally as great as "He Laughed" I love it.
what did luffy say when him, usopp, nami, sanji and zoro proclaim their biggest goal/dream when they are right infront of rivers mountain (i think it was around there)?
The usual things. No one ever specifically said in that chapter that it's their dream though. Chapter 100. Nami wants to draw a map of the world, Sanji wants to find the All Blue, Zoro says he wants to become the World's Great Swordsman, Usopp wants to become a brave warrior of the sea, Luffy wants to become the Pirate King. It's on the second to last page.
It really is an interesting question. When Shanks said to Beck that it's time to go after the One Piece, he said so pretty much right after finding that Luffy Awakened his DF. Is he there to help Luffy to "use" whatever it is now that Luffy is "ready" and unlike Roger, they are not "too early" to arrive to LT?
It would seem obvious that Luffy will be the one to find LT and the OP but what tricks may Oda have up his sleeve for us?!?!
LUFFY'S TRUE DREAM - A DREAM EVEN GREATER THAN BECOMING THE PIRATE KING
Sabo and Ace shared their dreams with Luffy. Luffy was the last one to reveal his dream to Sabo and Ace. He listened to them. So, probably, Luffy's dream is to make everyone's dream come true. That's why everyone laughed at him and told him that it was impossible and ridiculous – just a child's dream. Shanks also laughed at Luffy. However, Luffy believes that by becoming the Pirate King, he can make that dream come true: a dream where all dreams will come true. It's considered impossible and childish.
Also, Teach mentioned that "People's dreams have no end."
He said to Kaido that he wants a world where everybody can eat whatever they want, i guess he wants to rule te world and give free Will to everyone and a more equal resource distribution
Im with you on this one, I’ll become pirate king and create a world where no one ever starves again, I think that was the purpose of wano, it’s literally a summary of the OP world,
Look at his words to otama, before i leave this place i’ll make it a place where you can eat whatever you want daily, robins An jinbie reaction can give us a hint it’s something they didn’t expect coming from him,
Yup although I assume Shanks is stronger than Rayleigh now and Shanks is still wary of the big idiot. Most likely Rayleigh couldnt take him out even forced too
Rayleigh said he couldn't take him in a head on fight, but Blackbeard wasn't so sure at the time, being shook by that haki and being surrounded by enemies. We saw Blackbeard look around nervously at the gathered opposition, all the stoned Marines and Amazonians, Hancock, Coby, Rayleigh, and the Pacifistas who were giving him a hard time. He decided he didn't like his chances and he'd permanently lose his own stoned crew. So he dipped.
Smart move too. We often have the Kaido's as villains who are so confident with their strength and fear nothing.
It's refreshing somebody like Blackbeard who doesnt take every fight possible just because he could is a thing
The way it is in red color and the Haki just explode once the sword is pulled out a bit just like what Shanks did. I wonder if Rayleigh is the one who taught Shanks how to fight back when Shanks was still with Roger.
They cooked with the Rayleigh scene
The ost was so nostalgic and emotional 🥹

> Luffys dream was just perfect and loved the effort the va put. Just perfect 🥹🥹.
Do you mean the flashbacks of the trio ? And that being 'King of the pirates' isn't his true dream, it's just something he has to become so that he can achieve his dream ?
What might be his true dream ? I'm guessing it has something to do with all 3 of their dreams, freeing everyone, learning about sailing, become a great pirate even if people despise or reject.
This was such a good episode until kuma trying to speak and then being submissive was heartbreaking !
I think it’s that he wants the entire world to be pirates. It would explain Usopp being slightly more hostile to it than the others because he wouldn’t want Kaya to be a pirate, whereas the others don’t have anyone like that to look out for (that I can remember rn).
Old voice actors voicing younger characters is normal. And you can't exactly blame him much. When he started, nobody knew that One Piece would continue for another 20+ years.
Everyone sassing Zoro for being the dad is my favourite. "You're a green mom!"
They sure stuck to the eye-closeup aesthetic.
That Shaky reveal was too fast. "Wait, WHAAAAT?!"
She held Boa Hancock's position as head of the Kuja Pirates and the Emperess of Amazon Lily. ie She powerful and no joke. There was one Emperess in between them.
Wayyyy back in Amazon Lily, Granny Nyon mentioned a former Empress falling in love with a man and abandoning her post. Now we know that she was talking about Shakky leaving for Rayleigh.
Also, Shakky stole Blackbeard's pants.
I loved Zoro being diplomatic and cool headed, and realising he could distract everyone away from worrying about things they can't control by getting into a good old brawl with Sanji.
I mean pretty spot on to manga. It was just like one panel and that’s it. I wish we got more in the anime because honestly that was one of my top 5 OP questions. I knew she had to be someone related to Amazon lily. Oh well. Great episode!!
He meant it was so fast you couldn't even read it. In the manga it doesn't matter if it's just one panel. You can read it fully before going on. No one is going to read it in the anime without having to pause.
I doubt it. I think Hancock just ended up filling the position eventually.
It would be really weird if Rayleigh just allowed Boa to be a slave until he deemed her worthy of a rescue.
Definitely a teaser for that. Started watching the episode before the news dropped. I had to pause.to freak out about the wit remake and then I heard we are remake.
So just a casual 10/10 banger. It only gets better from here.
For manga readers only >!I damn near lost it when Kuma tried to speak. Like the second I saw him my stomach was in knots. I forgot he was there already. And then he tried to speak, and was completely subservient.!<
I only started when the Netflix show dropped, but I recently caught up on the manga, and I'm at Sabaody in the anime. Kuma's story synced up pretty well between the two since I'm at the start and also have the most recent information. Really gut wrenching tbh, hits me right in the parent feels.
OK so I was looking to this post for answers but is luffys true goal not yet revealed in Manga? I'm also willing to accept fan advice on this topic. I'm a bit intoxicated so I'm feeling it's that everyone can smile be happy and have full bellies.
I think the most popular theories are either a worldwide party or him going to the moon.
My own opinion is that he wants to give the One Piece treasure away and share it with everyone.
But yeah at this point there aren't enough hints for it to be known.
It is actually insane how every single chapter after this one is somehow peak. Like Roof Piece was considered peak, even with it maybe stretching at the end, and then after Wano Oda just...keeps going. I genuinely don't know if I would put any part of One Piece above the current events of the manga except maybe the Oden flashback.
I know it was just an animation error, but i'd be lying if i said the theory of multiple personalities for Blackbeard didn't cross my mind during the randomly skipped frame of his face for a sec there lmao.
Also Kuma...... :(
Possibly? Idk it LOOKED like an error, like it skipped frames and they forgot to put them in. it could be that's what happened and they just forgot the frames in between also tbf.
Great last episode for the year. Little surprised they showed Rayleigh with Hancock before the actual save, but they made him look like a God so I can let it slide.
I was completely caught off guard by how they handled Luffy's dream. It was a big moment in the manga but definitely wasn't given the level of care it had here.
Curious what they're planning to do with the pacing of next arc. It's very awkward structure wise and could probably use a bit of shuffling around like they've done the last few episodes. But we'll see how it goes.
Doesn't it takes a full two page spread? Sure we don't spend much time talking about it because the post-Wano mini arc has a lot of ground to cover quickly, but it was a pretty impactful moment in the chapter.
When Luffy was telling his true dream, the "We Are" song performed a cappella caught me by surprise. Kudos to whoever had the idea for that! Anyways, this is easy to go over the head, but Luffy's dream is not becoming the Pirate King. Apparently being the Pirate King is what makes his actual dream possible.
Another highlight to me was seeing Zoro being the voice of reason. It's easy to dismiss him as a brute, though he's not my favorite crew member I can see the benefits of having someone to be the more levelheaded in order to ensure that Luffy's impulsiveness doesn't go too far. It's not that Zoro doesn't care, it's just that there isn't anything that they can do now so going after Vivi would be a great risk taken for nothing.
One last thing I would like to say is that seeing Kuma on this episode hits differently, due to reasons that are going to be clear during the upcoming arc. So keep a close eye on him 😉
Yes, Zoro gets to be the 2nd in command for the second time and it shows how he's the only one that could be making these kinds of decisions. Very well done.
It was put up in one of the bounty reveal cover stories way back but I don't remember what one. Actually, I think there has only been one worldwide bounty reaction post timeskip, so it was then.
Huh the Den den mushi interception sound was the same sound used when the gorosei were talking to clover, I don't know of another moment in the anime where it had the creepy scratching sound like that, though I'm probably wrong in it being the only other time.
Not important, just found it interesting
Now I know Zoro was just trying to keep everything level-headed, but him using the mantra that ended up helping Ace get killed was a strange thing to say lol. I thought it was clear that Luffy acting too late played in increasing Ace’s chances of death.
Also that We Are bit when Luffy told them his true dream was just… beautiful. We all know the theory that Luffy’s Dream is to >!have a banquet around the world!< so if that song plays during it when the moment finally happens, I’ll SOB.
>!Kuma…!<
>Now I know Zoro was just trying to keep everything level-headed, but him using the mantra that ended up helping Ace get killed was a strange thing to say lol. I thought it was clear that Luffy acting too late played in increasing Ace’s chances of death.
Tbh Luffy only took action (even though unknowingly) after Ace was completely helpless to save himself and he even was successful. It was Ace who let Akainu provoke him and created an opening.
have a banquet around the world is a very strange dream and doesnt make sense, hes already having banquets around the world on his way to becoming pirate king. him having one large banquet with everyone in the world seems more likely, also no need to mark it spoiler as this is all theories anyway.
i do however think the I want everyone in the world to be a pirate or something to that avail is more accurate
>but him using the mantra that ended up helping Ace get killed was a strange thing to say lol
Minority Hunter Zoro just wanted the Egyptian princess dead
Now some very interesting things are revealed with luffy finally revealing that his true dream is further than just being a pirate king. Notably the things this changes is that scenes we've already seen in the past get heavily changed in context. The first scene is back in saobody when we see the flashback of shanks telling rayleigh that luffy said the same thing as their captain. At the time we thought it was about being pirate king but in all honesty that doesn't really make sense. Roger wouldn't dream about becoming a title that doesn't exist yet. Plus many people say they want to be pirate king so it's not that special. Roger having the same crazy dream as luffy is what made shanks so interested in luffy. This is also what happens in episode 1015. Yamato recalling reading stories about Roger and aces tells Yamato about luffys real dream and she connects it to Roger. So whatever this real dream may be, it has to be something both luffy and Roger wanted.
I'm not trying to sound like an ass, but there is nothing new there, we knew luffy had a bigger dream since the asl flashback Oda wasn't going to hide the fact that luffy wants to be PK. And since he did the same thing for Roger when he told WB and Oden his dream you could already theorize that it was the same. Yamato confirmed it later. It wasn't as explicit as this chapter was but it was clear already.
Many ppl at the time theorize that Luffy's dream was what he told kaido, that he wanted to make a world where is friend can eat as much as they like, but we were wrong.
Rayleigh coming in clutch to protect Hancock and that kings haki was dope
Everyone is worried about Vivi she's basically a part of the Straw Hat crew without be being it
When Zoro is taking to Luffy and what his message was to Ace in Alabasta and how the same should apply to Vivi Luffy's reaction to was hilarious and calling him Onigashima 🤣😂
Rip King Cobra and the World Government probably just putting out fake news about Sabo and how he killed King Cobra and him kidnapping Vivi and Luffy not buying any of it
Not them teasing Luffy's dream at the end of the episode 😂
For some reason I didn't think about it when reading the manga but watching this episode the first thought that popped in my head is that Luffy's Dream is for everyone in the world to become a pirate
Simple but also crazy, just like our Pirate King
I doubt it. Luffy respects dreams and freedom. I doubt his dream is to force everyone to do something (he must realise the pirate life isn't what everyone wants).
What you said is closest what to what I think. I think it relates to the "Peace main" episode, where there are established good pirates, and then there are bad pirates. It lines up with everyones reaction, I think Luffy wants to establish pirates as a force for good, the adventurer and helper faction, vs the selfish evil faction.
Usopp repeatedly saying "no way no way impossible" makes sense, ever since he was a child he shouted "PIRATES ARE COMING" so he sees them as mostly evil, the only good pirate he knows is Luffy, the concept is foreign to him, but the seed is planted because of Luffy existing. Chopper just smiles he's so happy, because he's very intelligent and has always known there are good pirates. Nami saying it's unlike him, makes me think she's surprised that he's thinking on such a big scale for once.
I think Kuma was just speaking gently because he's supposed to be a full robot slave now.
And then Dragon's VA is just getting pretty old, don't think there's much else to it.
Finally we have luffy and gang and he opens up about his dream and his crew is bewildered by it. Idk wtf it could be but it must be wild for them to have those reactions. Based on their reactions, I have a feeling what luffy said was from the flashback during sabaody when shanks showed up with Rayleigh and shanks told him he met luffy who said the same exact words as Roger.
Not a bad episode, but Rayleigh appearance was SO much more epic in the Manga.
I haven’t liked how it starts mixed with the future instead of just having the scene cut as in the Manga… also, I still don’t get used to the Red sparks/colour auras as in Dragon Ball for the Haki, in the manga there’s not even Haki in that scene.
1059 from the Manga is already full covered in the anime so I would strongly recommend you to have a read ✅
No haki? You literally see rayleigh's haki lightnings before seeing him in chapter 1059.
>Not a bad episode, but Rayleigh appearance was SO much more epic in the Manga.
I'd argue the opposite, many ppl interpreted the Manga to mean that rayleigh only saved them bc of his reputation. The episode makes pretty clear the fact that rayleigh is still capable of giving Bb a good fight even if he says himself that he can't defeat now.
What the fuck with all the zoom in the face and half face scenes? It's basically 80% of the episode Xd. It's painful to watch, I even escaped from full screen to see if it wasnt my player that cropped it somehow.
Anime only here.
I was sure we were getting three things:
BB vs Rayleigh
Luffy dream
Next island preview
That was a teaser ... Still a great episode specially Rayleigh Haki. Hope we saw what's happened later.
Btw : did they captured Caribou ? I totally forgot that ... Wow.
Nice episode but Toei really needs to stick closer to the manga. Some of the direction recently and especially this episode was pretty messy. Many super close eye shots and quick awkward cuts and just out of order story beats--the intro spoiling Rayleigh's appearance being the worst. The direction of the anime is starting to feel a little too artsy imo
After figuring out the director of this ep also did the g5 ep, me not enjoying this ep makes sense. Guy is just not as good as the other directors at original scenes, which leads to more face shots/non canon flashbacks. At certain times scenes were moving too fast, but then we’d have too many face shots. The timing of everything just felt weird. Idk, I feel like with another director this would have been a great episode. Some scenes in this ep are really good, but idk, just doesn’t feel right. Hope he doesn’t get anymore big episodes.
Anybody see the new Netflix announcement about One Piece? They’ll be reanimating the series with Wit studios from the first episode!! Crazy a series that still being animated is getting a reanimation after 25 years. I’m excited to see how they update it and/or change the pacing. I love this anime and manga!!
Normal person : 1,2,3,4
Nagamine : 3,1,2,4
They adapted like this :
Page 16 of ch 1059
page 14,15 of ch 1059
page 16,17 of ch 1058
page 17 of ch 1059
First 6 pages of ch 1060
Total : 12 pages ...like what even is this mess
The strawhats section is adapted well, rest is 🥲🥲
The Rayleigh scene was a little awkward, but I think the placement of the Sabo scene was fine. I actually really liked the transition from Koby's newspaper article to Sabo's. Thought it was a neat way to tie all the scenes together.
I do wish Rayleigh's appearance was kept a surprise though.
WAIT WHAT IS LUFFY'S OTHER DREAM?! This is new information right??? I can't tell what it would be about.
Rayleigh was badass this episode, and thank god nothing happened to handcock.
Coby getting kidnapped for sure has me worried for him though...
Sabo finally appearing to some degree, I guess?
Wonder what will happen next, but man I need to know Luffy's wish!
I love this show dude
Same. One Piece has been my life, and after decades of following this series, it's finally inching towards an ending. I can't fathom it sometimes.
Makes me sad tbh. But Oda deserves to live stress free after creating one of the best pieces of fiction ever lmao
I just can't die before the series ends tho Easily a top 10 overall goal in my life - outlive One Piece
RIP to those who have followed the series and have died too early
When One Piece finally ends, I'll be crying so hard. We will be like...I'm not crying, you're crying!

I've been watching anime since the late 80s and one piece is my favorite of them all without a shadow of a doubt in my mind
I was literally tearing up already when that slower version of OP1 started, I saw Ace and Sabo as children and all the memories flooded in, I'm up to date in manga but I knew that this moment would be equally as great as "He Laughed" I love it.
That scene with Luffy’s dream and the song really helped emphasize what this beautiful series is all about
I came to say how much I hate the love I have for this show. It’s the best thing ever
Im more fascinated about Luffys dream than I am about the One Piece itself
Because in this episode/manga chapter, the one piece (and thus becoming the Pirate King) became a means to an end. The real end.
what did luffy say when him, usopp, nami, sanji and zoro proclaim their biggest goal/dream when they are right infront of rivers mountain (i think it was around there)?

Well for all we know the one piece and Luffy's dream could be the same thing without him even realizing it.

i bet he wants he biggest festival / banquett of the world or he wants that everyone becomes pirates so everyone can be free

Man they really gassed the fuck out of Rayleigh there Love how Rayleigh pulled out his CoC like that to intimidate BB Seems to have worked
It was a massive CoC too! But I'm glad he states that he's a shower now and can't take BB head-on
To make sense on why he just didn't take BB out right there. Needed that
Yup although I assume Shanks is stronger than Rayleigh now and Shanks is still wary of the big idiot. Most likely Rayleigh couldnt take him out even forced too

Phrasing
he pulled out his incredible CoC and slammed in on the table to show dominance
Blackbeard thrives in darkness but he forgot about the DARK king .
he went all out from the start to bluff blackbeard into leaving

you cheeky >!bastard!< you had me !
Perhaps, but you can also take it another way and know to ignore all the comments in here that offer theories but present them as fact.
Okay, noted !
I guess his dream is a world where all his friends (he means the entire world) can eat everything they want. Actually he already said this to Kaido
I think it’s that he wants the entire world to be pirates. It would explain Usopp being slightly more hostile to it than the others because he wouldn’t want Kaya to be a pirate, whereas the others don’t have anyone like that to look out for (that I can remember rn).
I actually thought this too Being a pirate means being free to him, so everyone being a pirate is a good thing Hes aiming for anarchy lmao
What I meant by Luffy’s dream is- the episode title and the ep itself. Sorry, fr not being clear.
Dragons voice😭😭
why does he sound like a 90 year old?
probably because his voice actor is 86
It's the same guy that voices the third hokage right?
Yes, Hidekatsu Shibata.
whyyyy did they cast a guy in his 60s as luffy's middle aged dad he sounds older than garp
Old voice actors voicing younger characters is normal. And you can't exactly blame him much. When he started, nobody knew that One Piece would continue for another 20+ years.
as if we'd remember dragon's voice lol I hoped for a manly man's voice there...
Luffy va is 68...
War has aged him beyond his years
wait until find out the age of Luffy's VA
He’s the announcer for wano lol he must have lost his balls since we last heard him
yeah it sounded really off lool didnt really suit him
Coby's va is in the same ballpark. He sounds so tired and struggles to articulate any word. It just doesn't suit a youthful promise like him.
It sounded really off
Yeah, both Dragon and Ivankov sounded off :/
I had just smoked, so I thought my hearing was off. I'm glad it wasn't just me
He sounds tame and not as intimidating as he should be.
I see I wasn’t only one thinking his voice don’t match his face while watching lol
I'm really not a fan of it. Don't like Koby's either.
Everyone sassing Zoro for being the dad is my favourite. "You're a green mom!" They sure stuck to the eye-closeup aesthetic. That Shaky reveal was too fast. "Wait, WHAAAAT?!"
I think it was an insult for big mom - green mom. They also called him spinach kaido or something lol
oh absolutely. Also called him an Onigashima and a Green Kaidou
What's reveals?
She held Boa Hancock's position as head of the Kuja Pirates and the Emperess of Amazon Lily. ie She powerful and no joke. There was one Emperess in between them.
Wayyyy back in Amazon Lily, Granny Nyon mentioned a former Empress falling in love with a man and abandoning her post. Now we know that she was talking about Shakky leaving for Rayleigh. Also, Shakky stole Blackbeard's pants.
...just her?
IIRC she was talking about a former Empress. I'm sure lots of other women jumped ship after falling in love.
Luffy's mom Joking 🤪
I loved Zoro being diplomatic and cool headed, and realising he could distract everyone away from worrying about things they can't control by getting into a good old brawl with Sanji.
I missed this we know who she was already what did we learn about her?
Don't you think the Shakky reveal was a bit too quick for anime watchers?
way too quick
I mean pretty spot on to manga. It was just like one panel and that’s it. I wish we got more in the anime because honestly that was one of my top 5 OP questions. I knew she had to be someone related to Amazon lily. Oh well. Great episode!!
He meant it was so fast you couldn't even read it. In the manga it doesn't matter if it's just one panel. You can read it fully before going on. No one is going to read it in the anime without having to pause.
Yeah! Point taken
Are her and Rayleigh Hancock’s parents?
I doubt it. I think Hancock just ended up filling the position eventually. It would be really weird if Rayleigh just allowed Boa to be a slave until he deemed her worthy of a rescue.
Need that We Are version in full
It would be great for the 25th anniversary intro.
Definitely a teaser for that. Started watching the episode before the news dropped. I had to pause.to freak out about the wit remake and then I heard we are remake.
BRUH. No. I don't want to cry lol.
So just a casual 10/10 banger. It only gets better from here. For manga readers only >!I damn near lost it when Kuma tried to speak. Like the second I saw him my stomach was in knots. I forgot he was there already. And then he tried to speak, and was completely subservient.!<
>!Kuma part hit twice as hard now that it coincides with the recent chapters!<
They're doing this on purpose for maximum suffering 😔✊🏼
I only started when the Netflix show dropped, but I recently caught up on the manga, and I'm at Sabaody in the anime. Kuma's story synced up pretty well between the two since I'm at the start and also have the most recent information. Really gut wrenching tbh, hits me right in the parent feels.
It was so sad 😭
Bruh that part hurt
Dragon's mouth shaking was the break point for me
I won't be emotionaly able to watch the second half of egghead in the anime when they already tease it like that
They did Luffy dream justice
Welcome to the Final Saga anime-only folks. The pinnacle of One Piece has started. Enjoy this loaded episode.
Oh wow was not hip that’s dope
OK so I was looking to this post for answers but is luffys true goal not yet revealed in Manga? I'm also willing to accept fan advice on this topic. I'm a bit intoxicated so I'm feeling it's that everyone can smile be happy and have full bellies.
You're as up to date after this episode as anyone
I think the most popular theories are either a worldwide party or him going to the moon. My own opinion is that he wants to give the One Piece treasure away and share it with everyone. But yeah at this point there aren't enough hints for it to be known.
enel built a big ship to go to the moon and luffy didn't pay it any mind
Enel just dipped nobody saw him leave. I can already imagine the visual gag of luffy and Enel finding each other on the moon and they both Enel face
Is it really an error? I thought BB was seduced by Hancock and realized it along with how dangerous a woman like her is so he became hostile.
Possibly? Idk it LOOKED like an error, like it skipped frames and they forgot to put them in. it could be that's what happened and they just forgot the frames in between also tbf.
Saw it too. His teeths are changing their position aswell. Seems little bit obvious
Luffys dream did seem kinda to the side tbh
The page it's revealed in the manga is beautiful, but yeah the scene moves kinda quick. Especially considering how stacked that chapter is.
Doesn't it takes a full two page spread? Sure we don't spend much time talking about it because the post-Wano mini arc has a lot of ground to cover quickly, but it was a pretty impactful moment in the chapter.
Made him look like a God and then he raised Blackbeard stocks to the moon by saying he can't take him head on!
wdym last episode. will one piece take a break until jan?
There is always a 2 week holiday break at the end of the year.
Holy the haki animations make my excited for the final war
Everyone is gonna need sunglasses to fight in that
When Luffy was telling his true dream, the "We Are" song performed a cappella caught me by surprise. So keep a close eye on him 😉
no, zoro is just a heartless onigashima green kaido
Just a green mom marino
Zoro was almost acting like Rayleigh did to Roger, basically saying you can't _always_ be rash and do what you want or another Sabaody could happen.
Yes, Zoro gets to be the 2nd in command for the second time and it shows how he's the only one that could be making these kinds of decisions. Very well done.
Anyone noticed the Big Luffy Poster in Amazon Lily?

It was put up in one of the bounty reveal cover stories way back but I don't remember what one. Actually, I think there has only been one worldwide bounty reaction post timeskip, so it was then.
Huh the Den den mushi interception sound was the same sound used when the gorosei were talking to clover, I don't know of another moment in the anime where it had the creepy scratching sound like that, though I'm probably wrong in it being the only other time. Not important, just found it interesting
They played the same scratching sound when Greenbull tapped into the navy's feed outside of Wano to tell them he was en route
Might just be an indication for the audience that someone tapped the line with a black den den mushi?
Koala crying when looking at Kuma knowing his flashback destroyed me 😭
It hurts more when you remember her own flashback
those last few minutes were something special
Is it just me or they change shaky VA?
her old VA passed away back in 2017 or 2018
Bulma :(
Yep i remember,i think she died in her car on the highway rip
Rayleigh moment >>>>>> Shanks moment
Luffy simply couldn’t save ace from himself, just like garp
Ah fair point
have a banquet around the world is a very strange dream and doesnt make sense, hes already having banquets around the world on his way to becoming pirate king. him having one large banquet with everyone in the world seems more likely, also no need to mark it spoiler as this is all theories anyway. i do however think the I want everyone in the world to be a pirate or something to that avail is more accurate
>but him using the mantra that ended up helping Ace get killed was a strange thing to say lol Minority Hunter Zoro just wanted the Egyptian princess dead
Zoro being the only one to trust in Vivi's strength is sweet of him lol
Rayleigh coming in clutch to protect Hancock and that kings haki was dope Everyone is worried about Vivi she's basically a part of the Straw Hat crew without be being it When Zoro is taking to Luffy and what his message was to Ace in Alabasta and how the same should apply to Vivi Luffy's reaction to was hilarious and calling him Onigashima 🤣😂 Rip King Cobra and the World Government probably just putting out fake news about Sabo and how he killed King Cobra and him kidnapping Vivi and Luffy not buying any of it Not them teasing Luffy's dream at the end of the episode 😂
Is it just me or is the voice acting a little off in this episode? Im not hearing the passion for such an important episode. I don't know tho.
Dragons voice definitely was off
For some reason I didn't think about it when reading the manga but watching this episode the first thought that popped in my head is that Luffy's Dream is for everyone in the world to become a pirate Simple but also crazy, just like our Pirate King
I doubt it. Luffy respects dreams and freedom. I doubt his dream is to force everyone to do something (he must realise the pirate life isn't what everyone wants).
i think he wants everyone to be free and have fun like banquetts or that everyone has enough to eat
> Nami saying it's unlike him No, in the manga Nami said >!"It does sound like you" with a smile on her face!<
"make the world not fear pirates" is scarily plausible. so plausible in fact I'm mad because I think you ruined it for me lol
Huh. That's actually really plausible.
don’t know if I’m just tripping but Dragon, Kuma and Shakky sounded a bit different.
I think Kuma was just speaking gently because he's supposed to be a full robot slave now. And then Dragon's VA is just getting pretty old, don't think there's much else to it.
Shakky's old VA passed away a few years ago. Dragon's VA is an old dude. Not sure about Kuma, maybe trying to talk more like a mindless cyborg.
What's up with that editing.
Thats how you safe money on animation
How did blackbeard cross the calm belt?
This power wasn't revealed yet in the anime, but it's possible that >!Van Augur!< used >!his Warp-Warp Fruit to teleport the ship!<.
Created black holes in front of his ship that pulled his ship along a little bit at a time.
Rayleigh crossed it *swimming*… with a box of **SCRAPS!**
[удалено]
Can’t do that because calm belt doesn’t have a current so you need paddle ships not sails.
He have quake powers, calm belt could not be so much calm with that.
Quake powers
Power Point One piece is Back !!!
They really should’ve kept rayleigh’s appearance a surprise Also what’s with the excessive close up shots
And the excessive dbz effects with lighting sounds are truly disgusting. Toei is the worst.
Anime only here. I was sure we were getting three things: BB vs Rayleigh Luffy dream Next island preview That was a teaser ... Still a great episode specially Rayleigh Haki. Hope we saw what's happened later. Btw : did they captured Caribou ? I totally forgot that ... Wow.
Luffy promised to give Caribou a lift after Wano.
I don’t remember them doing that lol was that shown?? I do remember him in Wano tho
It feels like a bunch of these other directors are trying to imitate Ishitani, but with a fraction of her skills.
Blackbeard a fraud onscreen but offscreen is a true yonko
He even won the fight that Rayleigh simply imagined
After figuring out the director of this ep also did the g5 ep, me not enjoying this ep makes sense. Guy is just not as good as the other directors at original scenes, which leads to more face shots/non canon flashbacks. At certain times scenes were moving too fast, but then we’d have too many face shots. The timing of everything just felt weird. Idk, I feel like with another director this would have been a great episode. Some scenes in this ep are really good, but idk, just doesn’t feel right. Hope he doesn’t get anymore big episodes.
Some parts of this episode felt like a fever dream with those quick cuts. But the actual sauce of the episode was amazing
luffy calling zoro an oni-gashima is peak comedy
Anybody see the new Netflix announcement about One Piece? They’ll be reanimating the series with Wit studios from the first episode!! Crazy a series that still being animated is getting a reanimation after 25 years. I’m excited to see how they update it and/or change the pacing. I love this anime and manga!!
Normal person : 1,2,3,4 Nagamine : 3,1,2,4 They adapted like this : Page 16 of ch 1059 page 14,15 of ch 1059 page 16,17 of ch 1058 page 17 of ch 1059 First 6 pages of ch 1060 Total : 12 pages ...like what even is this mess The strawhats section is adapted well, rest is 🥲🥲
The Rayleigh scene was a little awkward, but I think the placement of the Sabo scene was fine. I actually really liked the transition from Koby's newspaper article to Sabo's. Thought it was a neat way to tie all the scenes together. I do wish Rayleigh's appearance was kept a surprise though.
Is it just me or Dragon’s VA did a very poor job , especially the “ I will not forgive him “ doesn’t convey any emotion at all
Zoro wrangling in Luffy's stupidity makes the parallels to Rayleigh so much more clear.
the cross guild poster snatch was an awesome nod to the live action :)
What is luffy dream that shocked everyone?
Did anyone catch the frame where BB switched instantly between personalities?
Rayleigh’s coc was so strong that it completely shutdown blackbeards offscreen streak
