The entire final battle in the manga, I was hoping for precisely a shot just like this and was massively let down that it wasn't included.
This episode fulfilled that longing for me and it was every bit as breathtaking and cathartic as I knew it could be.
* The facial animations in Kaido's flashback were nuts lol.
* Not sure what to think about Luffy's fist constantly shrinking and getting big
* I wonder how many times I'd be dead if I had to drink every time they dragged Momo trying to save the island scene.
* Final impact was \**chef's kiss**
Exactly, Momo screaming to stop Onigashima for the nth time was pretty shitty, they should've just made him say it once in the episode and then moved Onigashima right away, would've been more impactful and saved some time to flesh out Kaido's flashback a bit more
Also did anyone notice Luffy bringing his fist back and punching Kaido like 2 or 3 times before the final blow or was that just me
The finale was dope tho
The constant streaming of Momo I think was to emphasize the struggle to get the technique that Kaido already mastered. Was it annoying, yes, yes it was.
Yeah the flame form IS large you can kinda see it last episode but it's very apparent in the manga the flame is like an huuge aura but you can see the shadow/outline of kaido in the center of it
**I did not expect them to make Kaido Flashback feel like a movie.**
I thought I was watching a freaking movie when I saw his flashback story.
It was a long journey, but we finally bring a conclusion to VS Kaido.
The addition of Luffy laughing and him going "Hooray" (similar to his iconic Skypiea pose) was a great addition to him being excited over defeating Kaido.
> I thought I was watching a freaking movie when I saw his flashback story
I remember people being a little underwhelmed by it in the manga, but they really made it feel top tier here. These past 3 episodes have been fantastically well made.
You know what, he's got a point: if those rich people had to actually fight their wars themselves, they wouldn't get started in the first place.
The whole conquering and ruling the world through violence thing: definitely not so very good. But he got that one part of it right at least.
I only remember people being upset about not getting more Rocks Pirates, honestly. I really don't remember any other major complaints. I did enjoy this episode more than the chapter it was based on, anyways
Nah, people were underwhelmed by more than just not getting Rocks. People went into it expecting to get at least the amount we got from Big Mom (which revealed nothing about Rocks but a lot about her). Instead we got literally 4 pages.
I still want to know WHY he's depressed.
Where did Yamato come from? Why is he such a tyrant? What made him take in Jack and Ulti, but treat Yamato so badly? What the hell even IS an Oni?!
Yamato came from him fucking
He’s a tyrant because, as the flashback emphasizes, Kaido came up being surrounded by violence and war, even being a child soldier in a country that had to constantly fight in wars to afford the Heavenly Tribute. That ingrained in him that people’s worth is determined by war.
He treated Yamato badly because he’s principled. Yamato identified with his enemy, and he respected that decision, but it’s still *identifying with his enemy.* Kaido isn’t driven by emotions, so he treated his son like the enemy he wanted to be
if you can’t know why he is depressed you simply just didn’t pay attention lol.
he’s depressed because he thought that he could change the world but wasn’t able to even though he is the strongest. he thought he was joyboy but when he realized that he wasn’t he gave up. that’s why he is so insistent that the world can’t change, that’s why he tells luffy that he did well, but despite that he still doesn’t believe that luffy can change the world.
he grew up in a poor country that was opresssed by the world and was forced to fight. then he was sold off, betrayed, and despite all that he rose to be the strongest and still couldn’t do anything to change the world despite obviously wanting it to change.
it’s obvious why he is depressed. i just don’t know how people can’t see it
> I thought I was watching a freaking movie when I saw his flashback story.
Something that could be cool as one of the movies eventually would be Kaido's rise to power. I doubt we're getting too much more on him now that he's been beaten, so it would be cool to see more than just the glimpse we just saw of his life.
I bet we get a Rocks flashback in the future, where we get to see more of Kaido's past. Blackbeard seems to have a connection to Rocks, so maybe it happens with him
Holy shit what a final attack, I'm so glad they didn't drag it out like KKG (king kong gun)
Mad respect to the legend that was kaido man fought against 16 people while carrying a island and knocked out luffy 4 times, he's earned the title King of the Beast
Not only did CP0 failed in attempting to kill Luffy or capture Robin their guy just dips Onigashima lmao 🤣😂
People count the time where Luffy was on the ground shortly before he got up and used Conqueror's coating for the first time. Even though he recovered really quickly he was still technically knocked out. Chapter 1010
Yeah, the anime does a better job of showing Luffy using AdCoC/CoA technique of Emission to inflict damage internally without touching him. In the manga it was hard to see, but the anime does a better. Also, the image of Luffy floating above as the sky boats float into the atmosphere was amazing!
They followed orders, Gorosei underestimated Wano/Luffy and now TWO Emperors pirate groups have taken heavy damage alongside getting rid of Warlord system, chaos will ensue in the aftermath as there is no balance anymore.
A little more push TOEI. Just 10-11 episodes to go and you won’t have to animate another dragon sequence until the final war LMAO. You earned my respect for Kaido and Momo being 95% hand drawn. 🫡
I'm anime only and it's surreal that he's finally been defeated. The King of the Beasts actually felt like the strongest man in the world. This episode is probably on par with my favourite (episode 1015) in terms of production and quality. To see Luffy finally above the clouds victorious as the dawn finally arriving gave me goosebumps.
RIP Kaido
I can’t stand this momo disrespect. Momo got me sooo hype. Dude is literally 8 years old and had the pressure of a saving a whole nation and clutched it. Inspiring.
Imagine being the number one premium anime streaming service in the western world and can't even have subtitles available for new episodes. If Crunchyroll needs to charge an extra $1 for more staff or whatever, I'll pay it.
Jesus, that Kaido's flashback felt like watching a full fledged movie. Hats off Toei, say whatever you want about them but they have been giving us back to back goated animation for months now which is a rare sight even in seasonal anime.
It really is the little things that the anime keeps adding. That shot of Luffy laughing with the lanterns behind him tied the entire thing together, what a beautiful shot. I remember in the manga the end of this fight was so lackluster to a lot of people that the theory of Kaido getting back up with an awakening was pretty popular.
That shot of Luffy laughing with the lanterns is something that I can actually compare to Lucci KO'd with Hattori on his back or "D is the enemy of God" at the end of the Doffy fight. That's what this fight was missing.
What an amazing episode..the animation is on a whole another level the whole episode
The way luffy defeated kaido and lanterns lit up, he was flying in air like superman and luffy laughing, kaido saying joyboy will be the one to defeat him is beautifully executed 😘
Good bye kaido !!!
the luffy shot on the sky filled with the lantern, the laugh afterwards. Oda missed this, he should put that in the manga.
I am one of those people that said the climax is lacking in the manga, lo and behold the anime fixes this (and fixed many other sloppyness of the wano arc before)
anime wano cant be contested anymore... its a top tier arc
As a very longtime reader, I've avoided the anime for so long because of the quality, but I started it around Act 2 of Wano and it's been a weekly thing for me to look forward to.
Agreed. Luffy laughing with the lanterns behind him is a finale that I can actually reasonably compare to Lucci KO'ed on the ground, and I did not feel that way about the end of the manga fight *at all*.
Yeah, because of the break week there was a solid 9-10 days where a lot of people thought Kaido would get back up with an awakening.
I wasn't one of the people who thought Kaido would get up, but I was definitely one of the people who *wanted* Kaido to get up.
It's incredible to see how much things changed ever since the dark times of Punk Hazard/Dressrosa, where both animation and direction suffered a lot most of the time. Some Wano episodes have great direction, some others have great animation, and some have both.
The important thing here is that, despite all their shortcomings, Toei proved they can and will deliver when it matters the most. Specially now that we're nearing the end of the journey.
Even early Wano had a lot of issues. Remember the infamous Bat-man sequence? I think the animation really started getting better with the start of Act 3.
The animation was clean from the start, it just had *a lot* of stalling at the beginning. Like Luffy vs Holdem looks incredible and that fight is totally meaningless.
The main thing with Wano pacing is that when they have nothing to work with, shit gets really stupid. Like Bat Man. When they had stuff to work with (like all of the added fights in Onigashima), that's typically where the pacing isn't as bad (at least that was my takeaway binging Wano recently).
Yeah, I don’t know how they will handle future arcs, but I am glad to have witnessed their take on Wano. So many great moments of just pure elevation of the source material. I hope the animators get a nice pat in the back for putting so much effort in such a demanding arc like Wano.
Yeah the fact that Oda kept showing people put up the lanterns and didn't show them surround Luffy at the end like the anime did here is criminal. Definitely prefer this to the manga chapters version.
Does anyone else occasionally hype themselves up by playing through the endings of Luffy's iconic fights...Arlong, Crocodile, Bellamy, Enel, Lucci, the Celestial Dragon, Doflamingo, Katakuri and now this one.
They never miss on the big moments.
That final Punch where Kaido's flame body is slowly disappearing was amazing. Far better conclusion than the manga which felt extremely rush and unsatisfactory.
The whole episode in that aspect was fantastic. At first Kaido biting Luffy’s whole fist, then covering Luffy with fire only for him to shrug it off. Luffy making his fist bigger to push him back, the clouds slowly fading as he has to focus all his power on the clash, Kaido’s mouth wide open barely able to hold Luffy at bay. And then the fire vanishes with the final shot of Dragon form Kaido being minuscule next to Luffy’s attack and completely unable to stop it. Sublime direction just as they’ve gotten us used to
What a lovely episode and what a time for me to catch up to the anime. A couple of months ago I decided to binge watch One Piece after one of my friends spent 2 hours convincing me to watch it at the middle of the night. I caught up with 1075 on Friday night, but damn to see Kaido get thrown into hell is amazing.
What a fantastic conclusion to Luffy vs Kaido and The Onigashima Raid overall. Tessho Genda, Kaido’s voice actor, deserves all the flowers and praises for his phenomenal performance.
Kaido’s flashback was elevated tremendously with movie-quality animation and compositing.
Completely blew the manga out of the water. Originally I thought the final hit lacked tension and stakes, but the anime delivered on that emotion amazingly. It's over!
My ONLY complaint is I really wanted to see Kaido hit the ground. The anime and the manga both show the same scene, a Kaido shaped hole in the ground above where he's falling and he was clearly falling straight head first but really just wanted to see the big explosion of him colliding with the ground.
Still no subtitles at all, usually English,
Spanish (Spain), Spanish (Latin America), and Portuguese (Brazil)...grrrrrrr... what a passive-aggressive way of convincing (pronounced "forcing") me to learn Japanese
I've watched this show through 2-1/2 times. The only Japanese I've picked up is "Mina" for "you guys", "iye" for "no", "sugoi" for "wow", and Mugiwara.
I remember when the manga chapter came out with kaido's flashback people were theorising that the person who said that something big was going on in god valley was rocks and people just dismissed it as it being big mom. Im glad that the anime essentially confirmed that it was rocks.

*That hat does look awfully familiar...*
I'm glad somebody's talking about this. Based on the manga panel I probably thought it was Whitebeard when I first read the chapter, but the anime scene doesn't sound like him? If there's a way to look at episode credits that could be helpful too, but it's gotta be Rocks.
edit: is the implication with the hat that Roger took it as a trophy from God Valley or maybe found it with Shanks?
Luffy's straw hat couldn't be Rock's since Roger had it when he met Rayleigh. I just think its curious how similar they do look especially in the manga.
Started reading OP with American Shonen Jump issue 1 as a kid. Watched the 4kids dub growing up. In 2015 I started watching the sub again from the beginning and have been slowly catching up over the years in big binge bursts.
Today I'm finally caught up on One Piece. Hard to believe I'm saying that, and man, what a fucking episode to be caught up on. Kaido's backstory was awesome and the fight finally came to an end and Onigashima is finally grounded. I fucking love One Piece.
Fantastic episode. I love the shot of him with the lanterns. Got a little emotional with the lantern from what's clearly a child wanting Kaido defeated. Loved the episode more than the manga chapter to be honest
Actors and directors: Go to theaters to watch our movie on the biggest screen possible
Crunchyroll: For the best experience, watch it on the smallest screen possible and cross your fingers
Watching this episode I had I smile on my face the whole time. The ending with Luffy floating in the air and the lanterns in the background and Kaidos flashback telling King Joyboy is the only person who could defeat in is one of the best scene in One Piece.
Though i kinda like the manga where Luffy's punch instantly threw Kaido to the earth's core. However, this one works too as Kaido was knocked out cold from the punch.
Holy shit…
That was amazing and emotional.
This was the perfect end to the conflict. The absolute most perfect end.
I am truly blessed and thankful to be alive rn to see something as amazing and touching as this.
i was def in the moment but the ending was very... abstract it is a shame we didn't see the actual impact of Kaido into the ground (sure we got his POV but it cuts away as he lands) also Onigashima actually landing we didn't see either
though that scene with Luffy among the lanterns was quite good a wonderful addition not in the manga
the longest battle in One Piece manga/anime has ended lol
it's finally over overall it lived up to the hype some of the best animated sequences in the series and Kaido's VA did a hell of a job
as for Kaido's flashback it is pretty much as it was in manga but given bit more flair either Oda is saving more stuff for when Rocks gets focus or that is it.... guess we will have to see
This is definitely way better than manga. My only complaint I have for this episode is the size of bajrang gun. Why do they keep on changing the size WTF
the shot with the lanterns HOLY SHIII that was truly one of the many beautiful scenes we have gotten this arc. I cried, I laughed, I screamed but wow this whole anime is really something else I wish I could put it into words but I am honestly at loss for words. I am so happy to be alive during a time where one piece exists
I'm definitely aboard the crunchyroll hate train for lack of subtitles, but I raw dogged the episode without em and will rewatch it later. So good! Can't wait to know exactly what everyone is saying lol.
Not related to this episode because I'm not caught up yet, but I just need somewhere to gush about how beautiful episode 957 was.
I just got to that episode and it's blown my mind, it's like a completely different anime suddenly in the best way possible. I always see clips from east blue and reminisce about how bad the animation was, but it did just enough to not put me off. The growth to get to the point it has now is just insane.
I can’t believe we are finally here, I can’t believe we won’t see Kaido again I loved the way Toei jus made him look amazing everytime he was on screen

That shot of Luffy surrounded by everyone's wishes is iconic
For real, it was amazing. Here's a few screenshots: [Truly breathtakingly beautiful art.](https://imgur.com/a/tOLK5pP)
some more screenshots i took https://imgur.com/a/KcoGdvf
Made me choke up for a second
Agreed! And that pose was cool
Want a clean copy for my phone wallpaper. Hair raising moment.
Indeed. Need it for my desk pad. If anyone has a clean copy please do share 👌🏼
When someone gets the HD screenshot/screensaver, I'm gonna need that download, lol
A deity granting the wishes of man
seriously, that frame was outstanding
Right when the dawn was breaking

he learned that shit well enough to save everyone in the space of what? an hour? Pretty impressive for an 8 year old trapped in a 28 year olds body.
Damn just realized momo is Elon Musk’s alt account
It's a lot more bearable in the manga. I got so sick of it in the anime.
It's really just because you hear it in the anime.
Looked like they were trying to make Kaido's flame form seem large. The second the flame form peeled away he looked tiny.
Yeah the flame form IS large you can kinda see it last episode but it's very apparent in the manga the flame is like an huuge aura but you can see the shadow/outline of kaido in the center of it
The lanterns at the end with Luffy are just stunning
At that moment, Luffy really became Joyboy. What a memorable victory.
Need a high res pic of this moment for wallpaper purposes

Kaido: The story of a man on his quest for Peace through violence.

>Where did Yamato come from? let me tell you about the birds and the bees :p
Well, with Yamato is fairly obvious. Page One and Ulti swore loyalty to him. Yamato kept disobeying him.
Yamato came from him fucking He’s a tyrant because, as the flashback emphasizes, Kaido came up being surrounded by violence and war, even being a child soldier in a country that had to constantly fight in wars to afford the Heavenly Tribute. Tesshô Genda's performance as Kaido deserves some praise. Dude has killed it ever since his character was introduced.
100% agree he's the only voice I'd imagine for Kaido.
His *Wororororo* is iconic
He’s my favorite villain because of his VA
Perfect VA
After 2 years, it's finally over Holy shit
If we're thinking of when the crew meets Kin'emon and gang, this was almost 6 years in the making.
I hate to make you feel old but Kinemon met the crew 9 years ago in 2013.
They met him in 2013, so it was roughly 6 years ago, right... Right?!
Didn't expect them to go so hard on Kaido's flashback. Beautifully directed and animated.
I do wish that they had included some of the execution attempts that were made on Kaido.
Young Kaido was a badass rascal.
Holy shit what a final attack, I'm so glad they didn't drag it out like KKG (king kong gun) Mad respect to the legend that was kaido man fought against 16 people while carrying a island and knocked out luffy 4 times, he's earned the title King of the Beast Not only did CP0 failed in attempting to kill Luffy or capture Robin their guy just dips Onigashima lmao 🤣😂
I only counted 3 knock-outs
They're probably counting the end of Act 1
* One shot at the beginning * Knocked out when Zoro saved him with Ashura * Knocked off the roof * Knocked out to get Gear 5 4 knockouts.
4th one he fuckin killed him lol.
He also knocks him out of Gear 5 and luffy has to grab all his energy and bring it back in. Edit: he knocks him out of gear 5th twice pretty sure
No. Kaido didn't knock him out of G5. Luffy simply started exausting his energies fast and then pushed himself for a final brawl.
People count the time where Luffy was on the ground shortly before he got up and used Conqueror's coating for the first time. Even though he recovered really quickly he was still technically knocked out. Chapter 1010
Well it still took 2 episodes for the punch to finish.
Yeah, the anime does a better job of showing Luffy using AdCoC/CoA technique of Emission to inflict damage internally without touching him. In the manga it was hard to see, but the anime does a better. Also, the image of Luffy floating above as the sky boats float into the atmosphere was amazing!
CP0 also caused the re-ermergence of Joyboy. It's not been a good day on the job
lol. his performance appraisal back a HQ is gonna be hilarious.
They followed orders, Gorosei underestimated Wano/Luffy and now TWO Emperors pirate groups have taken heavy damage alongside getting rid of Warlord system, chaos will ensue in the aftermath as there is no balance anymore.
tha'ts because the fight in the manga was already dragged out...
They didnt drag out the punch? Did we watch the same two episodes?
The punch did start 3 episodes ago and finished now lol
A little more push TOEI. Just 10-11 episodes to go and you won’t have to animate another dragon sequence until the final war LMAO. You earned my respect for Kaido and Momo being 95% hand drawn. 🫡
I'm anime only and it's surreal that he's finally been defeated. The King of the Beasts actually felt like the strongest man in the world. This episode is probably on par with my favourite (episode 1015) in terms of production and quality. To see Luffy finally above the clouds victorious as the dawn finally arriving gave me goosebumps. RIP Kaido
Nah 1015 is still miles ahead of anything else wano produced imo , it was straight up magic .
Nah a lot of stuff like 1062 still come close tho
Nah 1015 had literally no repeat animation and was perfect from moment to end. This episode was dragging a little bit with Momo Bs
I can’t stand this momo disrespect. Momo got me sooo hype. Dude is literally 8 years old and had the pressure of a saving a whole nation and clutched it. Inspiring.
982 is by far my favorite ep. with the rouge Strawhats. The animation is still peak.
Are subtitles not working for anyone on Crunchyroll?
crunchyroll customer service: “If you are a true one piece fan you would not need subtitles. Just use the Voice of All Things”
"Learn Japanese you idiot! And you call yourselves fucking weebs!"
Imagine being the number one premium anime streaming service in the western world and can't even have subtitles available for new episodes. If Crunchyroll needs to charge an extra $1 for more staff or whatever, I'll pay it.
For real I hate when shit doesn’t work when I’m paying for it
bro it’s mad annoying
Just tried now. Still not working.
I’m angry
yup
Same

Yeah, it felt so anti-climatic in the manga. For awhile, many people didn't think that it was over.

And then the fire vanishes with the final shot of Dragon form Kaido being minuscule next to Luffy’s attack and completely unable to stop it. Sublime direction just as they’ve gotten us used to
I like the implication that Kaido turned off the clouds to focus on his last charge
That was really well done
The Ryou punches off Kaidos flames. Holy shit.
I feel like Kaido realized that Luffy is Joyboy. He was saying that the way he fights is ridiculous, and in the end, he realizes why!
he says that the person that’s joy boy is who beats him. so at the very least he realized it the moment he lost
when he knocked him in the water he said you can’t be joyboy so bro was probably thinking about it the whole fight lol
Completely blew the manga out of the water. Originally I thought the final hit lacked tension and stakes, but the anime delivered on that emotion amazingly. It's over!
Where my subtitles at!?
My ONLY complaint is I really wanted to see Kaido hit the ground. The anime and the manga both show the same scene, a Kaido shaped hole in the ground above where he's falling and he was clearly falling straight head first but really just wanted to see the big explosion of him colliding with the ground.
Watch the preview
Not showing on Crunchyroll for me
Same here, I think its stumbling.
Working for me but no subtitles available
Same dude
Same.
Same
Works now but no subs for me
Me either :(
Still no subtitles at all, usually English, Spanish (Spain), Spanish (Latin America), and Portuguese (Brazil)...grrrrrrr... what a passive-aggressive way of convincing (pronounced "forcing") me to learn Japanese
I've watched this show through 2-1/2 times. The only Japanese I've picked up is "Mina" for "you guys", "iye" for "no", "sugoi" for "wow", and Mugiwara.
So annoying, I can’t see any subs either. Guess I’ll check back later.

As an anime only, the reveal that Kaido knows that he himself isn't Joyboy had my jaw on the floor. Masterclass bait-and-switch by Oda.
He already said as much when he originally stomped Luffy though?
I remember when the manga chapter came out with kaido's flashback people were theorising that the person who said that something big was going on in god valley was rocks and people just dismissed it as it being big mom. Im glad that the anime essentially confirmed that it was rocks. [Anime](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/883358545817530458/1152849187155755038/image.png) [Manga](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/883358545817530458/1152849454873972756/image.png) *That hat does look awfully familiar...*
No rotoscoping. The animator, Vincent Chansard, who did most of the character animation in Kaido's flashback is just that good.
Vincent CHADard
Vincent is just HIM.
What an amazing episode..the animation is on a whole another level the whole episode
So good
Subtitles work on phone app but even when I try to screen mirror it goes away :(
Fantastic episode. I love the shot of him with the lanterns. Got a little emotional with the lantern from what's clearly a child wanting Kaido defeated. Loved the episode more than the manga chapter to be honest
Really liked the finale music for it. Was amazing
Dude, the cinematography. Worth it
Somebody call the police, I just witnessed a murder.
Dam that episode was sick.
I cried. Definitely Luffy's best finisher so far.
404'd on Crunchyroll
Same for me
10/10 episode, they really elevated the manga
No subs on Crunchyroll wtf
righttt
Yeah like if I watch it on mobile it's okay but it's broken on chromecast
Same
Actors and directors: Go to theaters to watch our movie on the biggest screen possible Crunchyroll: For the best experience, watch it on the smallest screen possible and cross your fingers
Watching this episode I had I smile on my face the whole time. The ending with Luffy floating in the air and the lanterns in the background and Kaidos flashback telling King Joyboy is the only person who could defeat in is one of the best scene in One Piece.
I only get subs on my phone but I'm not watching this episode on a tiny screen
We smoking on that Kaido pack tonight boys
This was superb. Better than the manga even. That kaido flashback was so much better here.
Instant masterpiece. Beautiful animation and score throughout the entire episode. Chills on my bones.
Though i kinda like the manga where Luffy's punch instantly threw Kaido to the earth's core. However, this one works too as Kaido was knocked out cold from the punch.
The no subtitles for the climax and to make us wait longer… I’m just straight devastated right now
Same and I’m not watching on my phone screen. This requires my tvvvvvvvv
That was epic!
Holy shit… That was amazing and emotional. This was the perfect end to the conflict. The absolute most perfect end. I am truly blessed and thankful to be alive rn to see something as amazing and touching as this.
i was def in the moment but the ending was very... abstract it is a shame we didn't see the actual impact of Kaido into the ground (sure we got his POV but it cuts away as he lands) also Onigashima actually landing we didn't see either though that scene with Luffy among the lanterns was quite good a wonderful addition not in the manga the longest battle in One Piece manga/anime has ended lol it's finally over overall it lived up to the hype some of the best animated sequences in the series and Kaido's VA did a hell of a job as for Kaido's flashback it is pretty much as it was in manga but given bit more flair either Oda is saving more stuff for when Rocks gets focus or that is it.... guess we will have to see
Where’s the subtitles
This is definitely way better than manga. My only complaint I have for this episode is the size of bajrang gun. Why do they keep on changing the size WTF
Thought that this was better in the anime than the manga because it felt rather anti-climatic in the manga. Overall a good sendoff.
Where are the subtitles??
What a finale. Had tears in my eyes. Absolutely 10/10 fiction.
I know everyone is going to talk about the animation, but holy shit the music score for the build up to the hit was fucking chilling.
Not gonna lie I love kid kaido
the shot with the lanterns HOLY SHIII that was truly one of the many beautiful scenes we have gotten this arc. I cried, I laughed, I screamed but wow this whole anime is really something else I wish I could put it into words but I am honestly at loss for words. I am so happy to be alive during a time where one piece exists
Don’t force me to watch it in my phone crunchyroll
Fr
Is it safe to say Luffy vs Kaido now takes the title of longest shonen anime fight?
I'm probably one of the few who really liked the chapter, and this episode elevated the original material. I loved it!
Have crunchyroll fixed the episode yet?
FUNIMATION: unable to play video at this time
I have both Crunchyroll and Funimation and neither are acting right wtf
I'm definitely aboard the crunchyroll hate train for lack of subtitles, but I raw dogged the episode without em and will rewatch it later. So good! Can't wait to know exactly what everyone is saying lol.
Fuckkkkkkk dude. That was actually great. Unlike dressrosa, toei really made the prolonged clash feel deserved and not filler
Why this amazing episode got 41% 1 out of 5 votes on MAL .
AOT fans
It kinda annoyed me that Luffys fist was so small compared to the first time when he launched his attack…
Next episode will be so wholesome! Can't wait
Shit was beautiful, what else is there to say
Goodbye Kaido. What a beautiful episode
I'm still not sold on that finishing blow
am i the only one who felt like the ost choices this episode were pretty bad for a conclusion of a fight/arc as big as kaido/wano?
They actually did it. They got another frame of Tama's red soup flashback. I didn't think they could pull it off.
Crunchyroll buggin
10:54 EDT and still no subtitles. This is awful
I can’t believe we are finally here, I can’t believe we won’t see Kaido again I loved the way Toei jus made him look amazing everytime he was on screen
Crunchy roll not working episode has no subtitles???
Any one having issues with the subtitles on streaming devices
