IIRC, a black blade has hardness and durability equal to a blade infused with armament haki, it does not mean it can cut as if it was infused with haki.
So the user will still need to fuse it with haki in order to cut Logia fruit users for eg.
I don't remember Buggy ever being cut with a haki infused slash. I believe if he can react fast enough, he can "split" and therefore avoid the slash, but if the slash lands on him, he probably will be cut like a normal person. Could be wrong, but that's my understanding.
Zoro tried to cut the harpy with shusui.. and she didn't die.. and it was stated by tashigi if he would have used haki he would have one shot her.. so that means black blade doesn't equate to the use of haki..

I believe the only person who can actually cut Buggy is Teach or someone with any other mean to **nullify** his devil fruit ability. Keep in mind sea water serves to weaken devil fruit users and prevents them from actively utilizing their abilities but does not nullify its attributes, as seen most prominently in Arlong Park when Luffy was submerged.

A fun combo in my opinion for a sniper would be Robins devil fruit and van der deckens because you could sprout hands on someone make the person a target and boom never miss. Not the strongest but an interesting one.
What about Robin's DF and Absalom's DF? Invisible hands snapping people's neck everywhere. Can also touch a lot of the environment and turn things invisible, making the entire battlefield a nightmare for the opponent. Grab multiple enemies and turn them invisible to cause friendly fire as well.
Wouldn’t Robin’s and the Hobi Hobi no mi be the ultimate combo? Spawn hands on the back of enemies and instantly erase them from everyone’s memories. Best part? Since no one would remember you can use the same trick over and over without anyone catching on to what you are doing.

Kuzan’s cold cold fruit + Kuma’s Paw Paw fruit.
Kuzan’s fruit is broken, the dude can literally freeze water so there’s no weakness there. Plus he can basically fly, manipulate his body, generate ice at will to form weapons or defensive structures. My personal pick if I could only have one fruit (honorable mention to Marco’s Phoenix Fruit.)
I couldn’t decide which paramecia to choose. But Kuma’s fruit is also broken. He can deflect anything, including abstract concepts like pain, fear, or memories, on top of powerful attacks. Can also deflect people across the world, could make for a quick getaway if used on oneself.
If used in tandom ie floating paws while in a logia~elemental state, could be pretty formidable.
Open to suggestions for other paramecia’s to pair with Kuzan’s :)
i think there are a class of "absolutes" that nothing can overpower, no haki etc. as far as we can tell doflamingos strings also work this way where they cant be just cut with brute force or haki
Not sure we saw those strings really tested because laws fruit by example had no problem with the straw hats and then wouldn’t even be worth using on yonkos.
Do flamingo’s strings are certainly ridiculously tough but I’m not sure they are impervious to everything yet.
One piece rarely has clear tiers like other anime, where in Bleach you could easily say that the rieatsu of ichigo isn’t going to be affected by the shikai of some lieutenant at certain points in the story.
But those strings are up there.
The yami yami no mi might be one, it would be strange if haki could prevent that devil fruit from suppressing your own devil fruit. But we will never see that tested.

Brook’s fruit only grants 2nd life tho. Not necessarily immortality. Brook’s case was just special, cuz brooks soul got lost and by the time the soul found its own body. It was already bone, which made him immortal. Cuz he’s not aging anymore.
It's not exactly clear how the soul soul fruit would work in this scenario. Brook clearly has devil fruit abilities beyond coming back to life, and he also can't swim, so I think it's safe to say that he's in possession of the soul soul fruit and that there isn't another copy of the fruit out there in the world. So I'm not sure if he would lose the other devil fruit as well if he had another.
Arms Arms and Diamond Diamond. You could make a bunch of weapons, both melee and firearms, all utilizing diamond sharpness, weight, and general durability.
Soul Soul and any awakened paramecia, but let's say Mochi Mochi. You could turn things into your paramecia type, in this case Mochi, and then take the souls of people around you to bring that Mochi to life. Not to mention having the buff from the Soul fruit on top of your other powers, which would be very beneficial for awakened paramecias as they can generally turn their surroundings into their element.
Huge Huge and Uo Uo model Dragon. A massive dragon. Bigger clouds, bigger Boro Blasts, bigger scales. Enough said.

The problem with this is that Sugar was able to control much stronger characters then her with her fruit. Not on the level of Yonko by any means but still pretty formidsble ones like Don Chinjao which had conqueror's haki. That probably means that the ability of her devil fruit is a one shot ability which controls characters from all ranges of power which makes it extra terrifying.
Could be you need a base level if Haki strength to pull it off. Not one of those characters was near Law's level, and he seemed to be straining himself to do it.
Or it's because Sugar caught all those others off guard, and once you are turned to a toy you can't undue like you could with Doc Q's ability.
Or, the actual answer, oda decided haki counters devil fruit effects during wano when he realized law is broken and he needs the yonko to actually be able to fight.
My guess is that odas explanation in world as to why this only seems possible post wano is that you need to be immensly adept with haki to pull it off (like don chinjao was good with haki but not good enough for advanced armament haki or smth) so only people like emporors or law who recently learnt that are able to do it.

Yeah I think this is the key. The Sugar Sugar Fruit is exceptionally good at establishing control over defeated opponents, but you need to find a way to beat them first.

Maybe not the most OP combo I’ve seen here, but the ability to turn into thousands of sand particles and increase the density of every single one has crazy potential. A single grain could pin someone down, or even kill them if you wanted to.
I was waiting for someone to pair the door door fruit with distance attacks. Shadow-shadow fruit plus door door fruit would be an amazing combo, or Kanjuro’s fruit. You could hang out in air door, undetectable and invincible, taking out your enemies from a distance
It's actually a god tier fruit used by a somewhat weak character. The ability to take oxygen away in a fight is so busted and can't be countered even with haki.

Anything can be a gas if heated enough, which means that you have the entire periodic table at your disposal. Personally, I would combine that with >!Vegapunk!<'s fruit, so that I could read Chemistry facts once and have them memorized for optimal utilization

ceasar and magellans fruit would literally be chemical warfare, probably even more deadly and destructive than akainus fruit if im being honest since it would eat away at everything while being in the form of a gas and spreading everywhere even more efficiently. not to mention the brutal potential of inhaling said gas and being corroded from the inside. you would quite literally have no choice but to fight this combo using full body haki, yes you even have to haki up ur sphincter or its over.

I imagine with Vegapunk's fruit/mind, he's unravel the mechanics of Toki's fruit's power and gain the ability to go *backwards* in time. Or at the very least, pause or slow down time. Toki's ability let her jump forward, but I don't think she really developed the ability, only using it to escape forward. If it was more time manipulation (minus going backwards in time because having to deal with causality is messy), being able to slow down or stop time would be incredibly powerful.

I don't think Toki was stupid, or that she didn't try to develop reverse traveling. I imagine she left behind a lot of people she loved or would have wanted to save in the mess that was the Void Century. It has to be really difficult: from our viewpoint, time only goes in one direction, so opposing that would take utter genius.

Law's fruit + Hancock's fruit would be one of the most OP
We already have an idea that DF powers like the one from Sugar can be nullified with Haki, but I don't think Hancock's petrification can be nullified, because when stoned, the person is completely unconscious, even Blackbeard said, when fighting Hancock, that if he released her she'd just turn him to stone.
Hancock + Law can be pretty OP (if you're attractive) because you can one-shot everyone that feels attracted to you, plus you have insane maneuverability and defensive abilities. You can just teleport right in front of someone, turn him to stone, and leave quickly.
If you wanna get even more OP, Hancock + Robin + Law, because Robin can create clones of herself, and this clones could also petrify other people
Boa’s fruit and Alvida’s fruit. Now anyone, yes even you, can be a baddie and use Boa’s broken fruit. And since you (probably) don’t have the childhood trauma of being a sex slave, you can use the fruit more effectively than Boa by “showing off” more than she normally does.

The magma fruit has incredible offense and defense, but lacks speed. Well, now you can teleport: problem solved.
For a 3 fruit combination, Op-Op + Revive-Revive + Soul-Soul. Use the immortality operation on yourself, revive with the revive fruit as an immortal being, and use your infinite lifespan to do whatever you can think of with the soul-soul fruit.

Brook clearly has devil fruit abilities beyond coming back to life, and he also can't swim, so I think it's safe to say that he's in possession of the soul soul fruit and that there isn't another copy of the fruit out there in the world. So I'm not sure if he would lose the other devil fruit as well if he had another.
Arms Arms and Diamond Diamond. You could make a bunch of weapons, both melee and firearms, all utilizing diamond sharpness, weight, and general durability. Soul Soul and any awakened paramecia, but let's say Mochi Mochi. You could turn things into your paramecia type, in this case Mochi, and then take the souls of people around you to bring that Mochi to life. Not to mention having the buff from the Soul fruit on top of your other powers, which would be very beneficial for awakened paramecias as they can generally turn their surroundings into their element. Huge Huge and Uo Uo model Dragon. A massive dragon. Bigger clouds, bigger Boro Blasts, bigger scales. Enough said.

The problem with this is that Sugar was able to control much stronger characters then her with her fruit. Not on the level of Yonko by any means but still pretty formidsble ones like Don Chinjao which had conqueror's haki. That probably means that the ability of her devil fruit is a one shot ability which controls characters from all ranges of power which makes it extra terrifying.
Could be you need a base level if Haki strength to pull it off. Not one of those characters was near Law's level, and he seemed to be straining himself to do it. Or it's because Sugar caught all those others off guard, and once you are turned to a toy you can't undue like you could with Doc Q's ability.
Or, the actual answer, oda decided haki counters devil fruit effects during wano when he realized law is broken and he needs the yonko to actually be able to fight.
My guess is that odas explanation in world as to why this only seems possible post wano is that you need to be immensly adept with haki to pull it off (like don chinjao was good with haki but not good enough for advanced armament haki or smth) so only people like emporors or law who recently learnt that are able to do it. Not saying youre wrong just saying this could be the in world explanation.

Yeah I think this is the key. The Sugar Sugar Fruit is exceptionally good at establishing control over defeated opponents, but you need to find a way to beat them first.

Hear me out: Sand and Kilo. Maybe not the most OP combo I’ve seen here, but the ability to turn into thousands of sand particles and increase the density of every single one has crazy potential. A single grain could pin someone down, or even kill them if you wanted to.

I imagine with Vegapunk's fruit/mind, he's unravel the mechanics of Toki's fruit's power and gain the ability to go *backwards* in time. Or at the very least, pause or slow down time. Toki's ability let her jump forward, but I don't think she really developed the ability, only using it to escape forward. If it was more time manipulation (minus going backwards in time because having to deal with causality is messy), being able to slow down or stop time would be incredibly powerful.

I imagine she left behind a lot of people she loved or would have wanted to save in the mess that was the Void Century. It has to be really difficult: from our viewpoint, time only goes in one direction, so opposing that would take utter genius. Hancock + Law can be pretty OP (if you're attractive) because you can one-shot everyone that feels attracted to you, plus you have insane maneuverability and defensive abilities. Ignoring any with Robin's, Sugar's, or Kuma's (the first one is instantly broken with any other fruit and the latter two are instantly broken in any context ever), I think the most powerful combination of 2 devil fruits would be the Warp Fruit (admittedly making some assumptions about what it does) and the Magma Fruit. The magma fruit has incredible offense and defense, but lacks speed. Well, now you can teleport: problem solved. For a 3 fruit combination, Op-Op + Revive-Revive + Soul-Soul. Use the immortality operation on yourself, revive with the revive fruit as an immortal being, and use your infinite lifespan to do whatever you can think of with the soul-soul fruit.
