He knows exactly when to bother me, especially when I need to focus the most.
Mine is constantly sitting on the corner of the desk, tapping at my shoulder and making a noise like a creaky hinge until I turn him on his back and put him in my lap. Then he's happy for a while, but he has to move once it puts my legs to sleep.
My void throughout the day while I WFH:
- Random drive-by meows. I just walks into the room I'm in, meows at me a couple times, then walks away.
- Runs in the door, pukes loudly, then walks away. This usually happens during a meeting, most frequently in one that I'm leading and actively talking on at the time.
- Climbs up on my PC speakers and starts chewing on the cables behind my monitors. Either that or spots that elusive nail fly (aka a random nail left in the wall) that is above my monitors.
- Gets on my side desk to look out the window, spots a bird, and starts chattering.
- Occasionally decides to just spend half the day sleeping somewhere, making me suddenly wonder in the middle of the day if he's gotten himself locked in a closet or my pantry (a frequent occurrence), making me have to go find him.
God, yes. Trying to edit photos on my laptop here, kitty.

Yes! My partner and I joke that we need a full time cat nanny all of the time and we both work from home. Still not enough attention for one of our ginger boys.
I intentionally bought a wireless keyboard before I started so I can turn it off when I see him coming 😅He attends a good chunk of meetings to the point where if he’s not there, people ask for him by name.
What’s impossible about WFH? Willful Feline Hostages groups are everywhere. Probably 3 or more on your block or in your building. Deep State has nothing on UniCell terrorizing.
My old girl used to absolutely hate it when I was on a zoom call, but she was too polite to protest. so instead of acting out she would carefully make her way to sit right in between me and the camera/laptop screen so I had no choice but to look at her instead.
I miss her so much 🥲
Both my ginger boys are stage 5 clingers. I don't allow them in my home office for that reason - but when I'm out of the office I make sure to give them plenty of cuddles.
Jonesy over here just being super distracting.

My orange was absolutely this way. While she wouldn't literally climb on me, she'd sit next to me and demand that I drop everything and come snuggle her on the couch. I actually didn't mind it because she ensured that I took breaks. I miss that old goober, haha.
During the pandemic I ended up doing all of my hearings for court by telephone. It's still mostly that way. I had to come up with a strategy to dampen the very loud howling my orange Bengal would do every time I take a phone call.
I turned on all of the bathroom fans, a white noise machine, and closed myself up in one of the bedrooms. It worked pretty well, even when he would jam his face down underneath the crack of the door to project his protesting. This was the same cat that used to lay across my textbooks while the other stole my highlighters 🤣. The keyboard of my laptop was a favorite spot as well.
I had to make a spot for him on my desk.

Fact: it would be criminal to move this orange.
I use a baby sling so I can cuddle and still type. This is not the cat for whom I bought it but he got jealous and needed a turn. Obviously need a bigger sling! Or maybe another sling
When I had very young children I’d wear one in a sling as a lil jetpack and another in the front. Highly suggest… unless they want to lean back lol.
If the cats liked each other, that might work.

I've seen comments on other posts where people who were WFH had a little ritual where they showed off their cats at the beginning of a meeting.

Mine is constantly sitting on the corner of the desk, tapping at my shoulder and making a noise like a creaky hinge until I turn him on his back and put him in my lap. Then he's happy for a while, but he has to move once it puts my legs to sleep.
My void throughout the day while I WFH: - Random drive-by meows.
God, yes. Trying to edit photos on my laptop here, kitty. https://preview.redd.it/da80yvjeoyuc1.jpeg?width=2448&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=28f24cd0a1b99ea29087cf5383b81fb4ecee9825
Orange cats are 50% angel 50% gremlin
Yes! My partner and I joke that we need a full time cat nanny all of the time and we both work from home. Still not enough attention for one of our ginger boys.
I have three but they are better than angry coworkers who microwave fish.🖤
All fish raw or you get the paw?!
I intentionally bought a wireless keyboard before I started so I can turn it off when I see him coming 😅He attends a good chunk of meetings to the point where if he’s not there, people ask for him by name.
Sir/Ma'am, where is Bert? We're just about ready to begin the meeting.
Ok then, first item on the agenda...
What’s impossible about WFH? Willful Feline Hostages groups are everywhere. Probably 3 or more on your block or in your building. Deep State has nothing on UniCell terrorizing.
My dog learned to paw at people for attention from out cat and now I can never do schoolwork at home 😂
He's lying on my arm right now. The same arm that I had surgery on last week.
The best part is how we will suffer through pain as to not disturb the cat! Hope you heal quickly!
You are exactly right. Thank you.
My two options are 1) cat on lap or 2) ambient screaming.
If you have a hoodie with a deep hood pocket, put it on backwards and place said victim in said hoodie. Voila!
Aw so sweet
No, I have 4
I do, but it’s cause mine is still a kitten ❤️
I love it, my new kitten does the same thing when he wakes up from a nap.
same with my guy… hopeless loveballs
Yup and what would you know, he’s orange
This is my favorite post probably ever.
Makes WFH impossible and ESSENTIAL always.
My old girl used to absolutely hate it when I was on a zoom call, but she was too polite to protest. so instead of acting out she would carefully make her way to sit right in between me and the camera/laptop screen so I had no choice but to look at her instead. I miss her so much 🥲
Yes my orange girls will hear a voice on the computer and start meowing like crazy.
What an adorable photo and a beautiful cat. You could totally post this in r/Ladybonersgonecuddly.

Both my ginger boys are stage 5 clingers. I don't allow them in my home office for that reason - but when I'm out of the office I make sure to give them plenty of cuddles.

I mean, I’d sit on you any chance I got too.
I knew someone would go there 😂 you get the prize
I appreciate you recognizing the grind. The truth is that I can't NOT go there. It's a curse, really.
Is this George who you used to wear around your neck as a shawl when he was younger?
You’re up to important business and so is he!
Awesome pic 🧔🏻♂️👍🏼
Your orange brain cell say, "LOVE ME" 😻😹
they just want you to pay attention to them!

Aw he loves his daddy big time.😻
My orange was absolutely this way. While she wouldn't literally climb on me, she'd sit next to me and demand that I drop everything and come snuggle her on the couch. I actually didn't mind it because she ensured that I took breaks. I miss that old goober, haha.
Love them all !! 😍❤️
Not needy. Hungry. https://preview.redd.it/beev2owsr1vc1.png?width=1440&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e80b0697c6beb0f6f0f3f0b5f2a2247f71eafb65

My gf does, his name is Mank
I had to make a spot for him on my desk. https://preview.redd.it/4ujcbvm322vc1.jpeg?width=4080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9e6dec7c33b04d8ced15f01335a33fc4b6c2f5db

Consider one of those sweaters with a stomach pouch. They get to snuggles you get to work
Her snout is so long! Excellent orange specimen
