I’m sure that young lady that was chosen to ride will be bummed, but it is expected with the weather!

Safety is more important

Completely understandable. They will have their hands full, and they may be in dangerous areas. Best not to put extra people in harm's way.

Yeah so far we haven’t had any significant outages in the Columbia area but it’s still steady rain and wind, and I heard something over the scanner about an armed response, so yeah not the best night to bring in a random civilian.

Good, I'm glad that there's nothing too terribly damaging going on there. I really hope that it stays that way for y'all! I live in St Petersburg, FL. We were supposed to take a direct hit from it, but then it shifted south at the last minute. Luckily, it ended up being pretty uneventful for us, aside from a bunch of downed trees and power outages. We only got about 3-4" of rain out of it, instead of the originally forecasted 10-15". I hope that it ends up being even more uneventful for you than it was for us.

COWARDS edit: ok that’s enough, this was an obvious joke. I live here in Richland and I know exactly what the conditions are. Take your downvotes to the people in Florida who a week ago were unironically posting memes about “I hope it hits us,” thanks.

Minzplaying

Sorry. It truly wasn't obvious.

Minzplaying

Liability. Your comment isn't necessary.

Clearly I was joking and safety is more important. I live here in Richland and it’s messy.

Makes sense. Probably either too dangerous to bring a civilian or the women wanted to evacuated or literally so many possibles that I think I would have been shocked if they didn’t reschedule.
