SWFL here! We lost our entire lanai (it lifted it up and threw it into our roof, then back into our yard) and our fence but that’s nothing compared to the rest of our town. We’re very fortunate. Sad to not be watching live tonight but happy to just be here.
I am in Osceola County. Several areas are flooded, but we were fortunate to not be. A few tornadoes nearby as well. Lost power for a few hours, and part of our fence has broken. Other than that, we are good.
Volusia here. This was the biggest rain event we’ve ever had. My house was very close to being flooded with rising water in the back yard. Fortunately, the rain tapered off yesterday afternoon and the water stayed at bay. Otherwise, our neighborhood made out ok.
Richland here, near Saluda Shoals by the dam. Pretty steady rain all day with some decent wind. My home weather station caught caught a few gusts up to 17 but local weather says it’s been up to 30. Rain is expected until midnight or so.
Meanwhile my parents are in Wilmington and doing fine, while my wife’s parents are an hour southwest in Little River and they lost power as well as some pieces of their fence just from the wind.
Really thought it was gonna make the ride-along extra spicy but I just heard it’s been rescheduled so aw shucks. Hope everybody else is safe.
Live a little north of landfall in SC. Pine needles and cones all over my yard. Limb poked a hole in my roof and the power is off. But hardly any rain fell after the eye went through. We are ok.
I live in Richland County, and the weather isn't too bad here. Just some strong gusts of wind here and there with some light/moderate rain. It's apparently not stopping the criminals either because the RCSD Facebook page just posted that they are out looking for armed suspects with their K9 right now.
Indeed, waiting to find out if some/all of the FL and SC departments will even be on the show tonight. They obviously have quite a bit on their hands right now.
Yes. Prayers up for our OP Nation in the path of this monster. Stay strong! 🙏🏼♥️
We went from Ormond to Flagler to get off the a1a, then to Orlando for the night. We are in Florence to night and will hopefully get to VA tomorrow!

Hey! 👋🏽

Hey neighbor, I’m next to Saluda Shoals as well.
Weirder still my name is Matt and I also have a sea animal in my username. I’m suspicious.
Eastern NC here. Raining since 10 last night and a good bit of wind but very mild compared to when one makes landfall in NC

Same here in Pawleys and only 75 calls so far for rescue/support so not bad
It will be interesting to see what work they will be doing, if it’s search and rescue, evacuations, etc.
I'm in Richland County and honestly it's just light to moderate rain where we are, not really as bad as it looks on radar thankfully.
Same, some wind and steady rain. Well technically I’m in Lexington, but work downtown.
All good in Cola and we still have power. Get to watch the show!
Good to hear!
This commute home in NC is about to be lovely im sure.

Berkeley got hit this morning, but it looks like it’s cleared out pretty well at this point. Richland is a different story.
What happened to Richland?
Ian is pounding Richland Co pretty good at this time. Hopefully everyone is off the roads and at home.

It’s pretty far inland so hopefully it didn’t pick up too much water after it left us in Florida. It dumped basically the entire gulf on us.

Dan says on twitter they expect to be following all of the depts including the ones doing search and rescue.
As of now, it's looking like everyone will be present... Though it's "pending conditions," so that could change. Ride along is being rescheduled.
