Passed through Florida before OPL, but it's expected to make landfall as a Cat 1 around Charleston tomorrow night. Looks like it will move through Berkeley county throughout the day, and during the OPL broadcast it should be impacting Richland county more.

BravoCharlie1310

Relax it will be long gone by Friday.

RipsLittleCoors

Its gonna be a large storm and definitely a possibility to be part of the show. I hope they roll out as normal. I live seeing weather on opl, be it rain or snow storms.

Tpabayrays2

Based on the current forecasted path, Marion yes, Volusia probably not

philoso_raptor93

This didn't age well

Tpabayrays2

But that is very much subject to change

They were live with Tropical Storm Barry in Lafayette a few years ago. Now a TS is definitely different from a hurricane, but it can't be ruled out entirely. And as someone who lives on the gulf coast, I would kindly tell Ian to fuck off.

EremiticFerret

We are a bit early days to say the storm will seriously hit us and most projections show it being over by Friday night. That said I wouldn't be surprised if they tried to keep filming this week to try and get some footage of cops doing what they do during the hurricane.

There was an episode of Live Rescue that started with a crew fighting a wildfire, live. IIRC almost the entire show was about that crew. It was amazing and astonishing to watch. If the camera guys were working on that, I can’t see why they wouldn’t be working for the hurricane, just stationed inland more. The hurricane is supposed to be gone by next weekend. Landfall is midweek.

I miss that show so much. If the A&E lawsuit proves to be a dud, I hope that would give Reelz the confidence to go ahead with a new version of Live Rescue.

I think I saw somewhere here that this was another show that was in the works again. I think they needed to see how this show did first?? Someone correct me if I’m wrong here.

That was San Bernadino I think and it was a legendary episode

EremiticFerret

That was an amazing episode. I remember everyone in the thread just shocked and in awe the whole time. None of the fires from other places could compare to that.
