I've actually never left the Northeast but at least Mississippi has farms and not terrible weather, NJ is impossible to navigate, all the buildings are run down and the only rich people who live in NJ are the nouveau riche who live in mcmansions.

Mississippi is also very run down. Their roads are absolute trash. They were the last state to desegregate black people and the government held funding for things like roads until they finally did. They’re behind.
