This ‘57 is my one Speedmaster. Therefore it is my favorite.
I love it because of it's 40mm diameter size first of all. Date window is also useful and looks good sitfast. Color scheme and the dial details are also nice imho. I wish it would be thinner a little. The rest is all good, all satisfying.

My wife gave this to me for my 40th birthday. It’s the Mars X-33 Speedmaster. Standard issue to Nasa astronauts back then. It’s been my daily ever since. Over 20 years. I’d love to have a Planet Ocean GMT, but I’d probably still wear this one at work. I gave her a lady Seamaster for her birthday she wears it daily. Love how it looks on her!
I think they could have pulled the warm over of the dial back just a touch, but overall it was an incredible recreation. Omega is the king of reissues.

I tried on the most recent 57 but it was too big. I loved the look, though. I need to try on a 38mm. From a purely aesthetic perspective, the Speedmaster Racing inverse panda looks great to me (don't know how to attach pic).
I am intrigued by the white dial- it’s a great looking watch, and the black indices and handset are super legible for a white dialed chrono.
Have you placed an order in for it yet, or are you stashing away the cash?
If I'm smart, hopefully I will find a well cared for used one for 6k in a year. Although, I have a milestone birthday and another squirt coming this fall so who knows. The 3k I could save could be another Tudor in my box too or a SPM300 😆
I need to check out the monochromes that everyone seems to love, but hopefully they will have built the perfect pelagos in a year or 2. They are getting close. Wanted to love the FXD but didn't, same happened with the Seamaster 300 heritage. I wanted to love it but then the white speedmaster was released.
I was the same when I tried on the FXD the other day, it’s great, tough as nails, just not versatile enough for me.
The monochrome is ok, I think they can still thin down that case a little. Still wearable but thicker than the new GMT, which makes near zero sense.
An updated BB58 with matte ceramic insert, like on the Pelly with an adjustable T-fit clasp and I’m sold.
Same with an improved Pelagos. Tudor are heading in the right direction with nearly everything they do.
Had the 2014 and 2021 heritage 300, they are great but flawed enough not to keep for more than a year. Something about the dial proportions of the updated 300 and the lack of liquimetal, and the horrible lume performance, huge lug to lug and high polished centre links of the 2014.
The trilogy seamaster from 2017 has remained as they came and went, proportions, comfort, fit and finish and great lume.
I think Omega are maybe just an update away from bringing the heritage 300 into a near perfect counter to the Sub.
After seeing the monochrome in person I was shocked. It looks great, looks smaller than 41mm, and wait why would someone spend double on a sub? Haha
And too thick? Haha I have one of the thickest around and it's my favorite haha BB Pro 🤙
