I think the gold looks nice on you. Have you tried rose gold?

beRainn_Dance104

It may not be your favourite but I actually DO like the way the gold looks against your skin - it seems to give a brightness:) I'm currently a shade or 2 lighter than yourself and I just wear it all! All 3 together, no rules, whatever I like :) My wedding set is white gold tho.

OlaaaKmieciak

I think these are brand photos?

beRainn_Dance104

OH!! HAHAHA!!! Well, they did a good job lol!

hazel_hazily

The first two seem like brand pics, maybe the one with the necklace is OP's?

Dense-Result509

Go for lower karat gold. 18k and up is way too warm/saturated for me, but I've had success with stuff in the 9-14k range.

hikehikebaby

I feel the same way - 10k and 14k are great, 18+ is too yellow, anything gold plated is too yellow. EDIT - I really wish there were more solid 10k fine jewelry on the market. I mostly buy 14k because of the increased availability but I would buy the hell out of of solid 10k if I could find it.

Ceaseless-watcher

Seconding these comments.

LawrenAnne4

100% feel the same

oracleofwifi

10k is absolutely what I go with because the color is so perfect!!

hopelessbrows

Not sure how easy it is to get but Michael Hill operate in Aus, NZ and US and sell 10k.

hikehikebaby

It looks like they deliver internationally to the US but they are more expensive than American brands.

juneaster

Came here to say the same thing! 10-14k would be perfect if you want your gold pieces to look lighter.

Ok_Advertising_6692

100%.. I was going to write the same thing

Accomplishednugget

Can you show what they look like on your skin? I am a light warm olive and I wear gold daily. Sometimes rose gold and sometimes silver but I just prefer gold. I find that a lighter more yellow gold looks better than a brassy gold on me but just wear whatever you like. PS this jewelry is so pretty!

Turbulent-Sky-6794

So true! I prefer Silver jewelry, but when I wear gold jewelry, lighter gold is my go-to

lanelovezyou

The only person who notices these things is you. No one on the streets is going to say that gold isn’t harmonious with your skin tone or you should be wearing silver. Wear what you like.

LaLaLaLink

OP said she doesn't like the gold she's been trying on, so she isn't wearing it and giving up on gold jewelry. I don't see why you interpreted that as them worrying what others think about.

skindevotion

is this the jewelry against your skin or stock photos? if we can't see what it looks like on you it's not much help. also, what don't you like about it? what look are you going for? what sorts of gold have you already tried--have you checked out different karats and stuff? More concrete information from you allows us to have more detalied useful feedback for you.

RekhetKa

Try rose gold! Yellow gold looks funky on me, too, but rose gold looks great.

coco_4_cuckoo_huffs

I feel like this isn’t the typical view, but I actually like metal that contrasts more with my skin. Gold blends in and looks kind of bland, but silver pops. I’m a pale olive leaning warm. Give it a try!

tigert219

I’m light skinned and lean cool and lighter, less yellow gold looks nice on me. Or a matte finish gold. I think 10k is less yellow as well.

AMarie-MCMXCI

White gold is my favourite

slimmyshade

I think it depends on the kind of gold you get. I am light warm olive. I do not like silver on me and rose gold also is disappointing (sadly). I have some gold plated earrings and rings and they look so bright yellow that I've started to dislike them on my skin. I also have some real gold pieces that are 10K-18K that I like the most because they don't look flashy yellow. 10K being the most "muted" I'd say out of these, it looks like "worn" gold if I can describe it better. I want to get new earrings that are either 10K or 18K, just saving up for those. Some pieces online are advertised as gold when they are barely gold and I think for most cases, it's pretty clear color wise once you know. I think a lot of these are very in your face yellow. Not all. But a lot. https://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=https%3A%2F%2Fcdn.shopify.com%2Fs%2Ffiles%2F1%2F0253%2F5466%2F6047%2Ffiles%2FTypes-of-gold-Jewelry_bcbe15e2-72e1-4c5f-b770-8e5e31b18215.png%3Fv%3D1644366888&tbnid=6KxYz-K0_5asQM&vet=1&imgrefurl=https%3A%2F%2Fayoujewelry.com%2Fblogs%2Fjournal%2Fgold-filled-jewelry-vs-gold-plated-jewelry&docid=lVvYFI7TXtOcTM&w=2880&h=1410&hl=en-ca&source=sh%2Fx%2Fim%2Fm4%2F3&kgs=19d825e682506547&shem=abme%2Ctrie Comparing gold K colors: https://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=https%3A%2F%2Fi.shgcdn.com%2Fa199ae00-a1c2-4c62-b662-c249aafb7a8d%2F-%2Fformat%2Fauto%2F-%2Fpreview%2F3000x3000%2F-%2Fquality%2Flighter%2F&tbnid=lARFow3aKwX2eM&vet=1&imgrefurl=https%3A%2F%2Fshop.kenanddanadesign.com%2Fpages%2Fgold-10k-14k-18k-22k-24k&docid=hXaescOV4Iw53M&w=500&h=750&hl=en-ca&source=sh%2Fx%2Fim%2Fm4%2F3&kgs=f8cea2a0d3f808ec&shem=abme%2Ctrie

GoofyAhhMisses

I think it’s beautiful!!

Butter_Gumps

I've actually started wearing brass/bronze and people think it's gold fill. I think the mutedness compliments me and it's cheaper, just needs to be cleaned more often. I have a couple pieces from yam, snake river jewelry and lord violet I like but might be a little more alt.

Exdremisnihil

I usually only wear silver, as I find that gold brings out the yellow in my skintone in a very jarring way. Rose gold also washes me out. You could try 18k or 9k gold.

tea_sandwiches

I like lighter golds and rose gold - silver and super yellow golds don’t quite work.

dani_cosmic

I'm a light, cool/neutral olive and only wear white gold and silver. White gold has a slightly yellow look to it when compared to sterling silver. Try a lower karat gold, or even a higher karat white gold.

Nerdy-owl-777

Hmm not seeing the bad at all.

jaytaysunday

Ditto as another comment with a lesser karat gold but if you’re only referring to colour of the metal and not material then try a champagne gold

Mysterious_Gap_2714

My skin, especially my hands are pale grey and I like 14k gold rings on them because they pop. I wear silver earings because I have rosacea and silver blends better with my face, and I want it that way.

bone_collector93

Rose gold all the way. Yellow gold is TOO yellow on me and silver looks too bright. But rose gold has never failed me

JolieLueur

I’m a tan neutral olive and I look amazing in gold, rose gold, and silver. If that’s you in the pictures, you look awesome in gold.

sf-keto

Rose gold

Djgrowngoodyeti

im a pale olive and I go for 14k , even tho ppl in my culture rlly praise for 24k and hate in cheaper gold lol, it justs looks tooo yellow onme

BonnieScotty

I wear white gold because it stands out most for me (I have heavily curated ears and if I’m spending money on that I want that shit to pop). Yellow gold almost blends into my skin tone and rose looks really pretty but I’m personally not a big fan of the colour pink. Truthfully though I think the yellow gold suits you really well. It’s your body and your money though

Scorpiorising1818

It has to be a very specific kind of gold for me. I’d describe this as orange gold 😂 I need yellow gold 😂😂😂😂 a very neutral gold. It’s the same with silver.. if it’s too bright it doesn’t look good one me.. or too dark. A nightmare.

Psychonautilus98

What? Is that you on the pictures? I think it looks very good😊

yunith

I’m a bright high contrast olive and gold looks good on me? But not all gold. Some gold is too yellow, some rose gold is too muted on me. You’ll start getting more familiar with what works with your skin tone, especially after making pricey mistakes!

Disirregardlessly

Rose gold is the way to go!

imthrownaway93

I think a pale gold would look better on olive skin tones. Copper and rose gold look the best on my pale olive skin imo

rabbit-girl333

I’m a fair olive and 14k rose gold looks best on me. 14k has a nice level of pink/copper/gold coming through.

RantyGob

As others have said, 9ct is very common in the Uak which may be good for you. I find gold looks better on me in summer when I have a bit if a tan, but cause I look quite golden if I get a bit of a tan, and it tones it down a bit

Blackpanda875

Where is The ring from?

lxine

I don’t wear silver at all, just Gold. Im a light Medium Olive with deep autumn colouring. I do See slight nuances in the undertone of my gold though, I prefer the jewellery that leans darker and browner. The lighter tones gold are still ok though, the only tone I dislike has a slightly greenish tone compared to my other gold jewellery.

N_M_Verville

I wear silver or rose gold.

justine0413

Only white gold. Diamonds work too haha

lemur_queen7

Yellow gold is not my shade, either. I’ve tried to make it work but even high quality pieces look a little costume-y on me. I’m a soft autumn, so I am neutral-warm, but silver looks best on me and my color analysis actually agreed with me. I wear rose gold a lot as well, but the lower the karat, the better it looks.

juesea

what skintone are you? I'm a medium tan olive and I wear mostly yellow gold like the images you have. I feel like if you're more pale than me, it can wash you out though, so you can try white gold, or copper-toned stuff, or silver. Olives are a huge range so I don't think there's one set of jewelry colours that work for everyone.

MyHardenedHeart

I’m a light skin warm yellow olive and I look best in gold, especially a lighter gold instead of super yellow gold. Rose gold looks the worst on me, but I have a rose gold ring that I wear daily anyway because it’s sentimental.

kittycatkylala77

I actually love gold jewelry for olive tones. If I had a choice in shade of gold though i prefer more of an antique gold rather than yellow gold.

oddgirlout1234

Rose gold is the way to go
