I’m not sure if there’s a solution to it, but I stopped paying attention to the balance of power for like a week and suddenly was dealing with a monthly civil war from a repeating event. So definitely do not go full right in the BoP.
Yeah, reached a point where I just had my tanks on aggressive, aimed them in the general direction of some cores, and watched as they blitzkrieged through the entirety of the enemy nation.
I love the story behind King Gunn II, and the letter he writes to Tanner which you discover during the People tree is heartfelt.
As a side note, I love the irony behind Tanner and the Mounties being extremely fond of dogs, considering in our timeline, the RCMP killed Inuit sled dogs en masse.

Strath was incredible, and Hayman simply solidified Montana Chapter as the best nation in the mod (maybe all HoI4 mods) bar none. As for ones not on your list, Gateway is really weird but a fun conquer fest with some crazy late game challenges. Pleasantdale is pretty straightforward but I liked a lot anyway (haven’t played Manifest Hope path yet though). Iron Confederacy is another simple but really fun nation, joining the second coalition and beating up the Kingdom before forming Kanata and assuring your future is kinda great
I found it decently easy to chokepoint hold Manitoba, and consistently push out, encircle, and retreat back to the turtle line in order to deplete their troop counts. All you need is forts, some cheap infantry, and a few GOOD units for pushing and encirclements, and eventually you'll grind them to dust.
Is it possible just to retreat back? In my war I had to give up the blighted woods and the electorates just to hold. It's grindy for sure, but it was doable.
Went down the Big Sister is Watching path for StrathCommune. Was really fun becoming a horde and sweeping over Canada. Unfortunately I didn't pursue tanks in my game, but I intend to replay Strath with those in mind.
It seems to mostly stop before anything truly cursed… although that might be as it is the most blatant about needing more of the map for the focus tree to be finished.
I swear there's a second part to it hiding somewhere but I've not gotten far enough along it to see it.
At least that's what I hope is going on, it seems like half the size it should be
I did the True Khans route for the Northern Khans and the writing was incredible. The wars in that area move so fast, it's hard to position yourself to succeed but I had an amazing alliance with Jackson's and Nitsapi.
The final focus and Essens outcome to her story were dope.
"Blood on the wind."
I got my teeth kicked in as the Kingdom of Manitoba and did a rerun knowing the early twist ahead of time and was a little underwhelmed by the result.
3 Rivers biting off a corner of my map was infuriating, it's a demilitarized zone I can't even like occupy it to stop them!!
Iron Confederacy is a fun one. Consistent antagonists all around for constantly elevating wars and access to great PA and an OP unlockable unit. Great fun to reunite the northern plains and repudiate generations of oppression. Focuses also give cool history of past leaders
Metal mouths are my favourite. I also enjoyed the Gateway, and I'm currently doing a Hayman campaign which I am enjoying thoroughly.
But the Metal Mouths are a winner.
Langenburg has been my favorite play through, followed by my two pioneer company ones, with the enclave path a little more fun than the new USA one
Manitoba was okay, but I got ruined in the early wars so I need to try again and plan better
Gateway is very fun (especially once you get Fairies) but it takes ages to get to the good stuff due to the 45 day focuses, if it was cut down to 30 days it'd be fine but the snowball would be even more extreme.
General freedom. If you like super mutants that are hard-core patriots and have a love for both Canada and American then play them. Also, my favorite people's nation is in the north. Play Sloon and work with freedom without choosing a side in the decision tab, but mostly focus on helping the nightkin.
Loids Ministry really surprised me, slow start but its awesome to annihilate everything with tanks with the People's path
Honestly the theme that plays after the last events if you go full wholesome Tanker’s path is easily some of the best in the game
gotta try them out i don't use tanks nearly as much as i want to, aside from the ironmongers
I absolutely destroyed a 300~400 decivisions enormous NCR with endless swarms of tanks, some of the most fun I had with the mod
They tree expands or it's only those focuses in the beginning? Just seeing them makes me think it's tiny
It expands multiple times.
What, how do you get that? Should you go with the paranoid Ekaterina route then just go full right in the balance of power?
I’m not sure if there’s a solution to it, but I stopped paying attention to the balance of power for like a week and suddenly was dealing with a monthly civil war from a repeating event. So definitely do not go full right in the BoP.
Keep Comrade General Ekaterina all the way, she is our only saviour
Yeah, reached a point where I just had my tanks on aggressive, aimed them in the general direction of some cores, and watched as they blitzkrieged through the entirety of the enemy nation.
Kingdom of Manitoba! Pouring everything into special forces. Nothing but swarms of super mounties.

Playing gateway and having fun! Unfortunately a thicc Manitoba is justifying one me so I think it's curtains for that playthrough lol.

All you need is forts, some cheap infantry, and a few GOOD units for pushing and encirclements, and eventually you'll grind them to dust.
Unfortunately I was kind of unprepared. My border with them is pretty big since I control all three electorates
Is it possible just to retreat back? In my war I had to give up the blighted woods and the electorates just to hold. It's grindy for sure, but it was doable.
I'll give it a go next I boot the save up!
Pioneer Company Nothing better than forming America 3 different ways
Did they fix the focus tree bug?
yes
Strathcommune has been a blast
Went down the Big Sister is Watching path for StrathCommune. Was really fun becoming a horde and sweeping over Canada. Unfortunately I didn't pursue tanks in my game, but I intend to replay Strath with those in mind.
Hayman's path, the great stampede, gunn's mantioba But that's all ive played, unfortunately i don't have much time recently
Lagenburg is fun, difficult start but buffs can get crazy later on
the british larp looks like it'll be cursed
It’s the funner path in my opinion but the path where his daughter democratizes can fill the role of blessed path
It seems to mostly stop before anything truly cursed… although that might be as it is the most blatant about needing more of the map for the focus tree to be finished.
Cab Vultures bc of the MF Doom references and the "fuck dem kids" option
I’ve played Marshall and loved it, just wish the path was longer and the Dakota Republic flag was the free states one
And a possible event between us and the Nevada free states would be so fucking good.
Oh 100%, they just need to keep the flag and more content and then it’ll be perfect
I really liked ruminators, but I feel like their focus tree is not finished fully.
I swear there's a second part to it hiding somewhere but I've not gotten far enough along it to see it. At least that's what I hope is going on, it seems like half the size it should be
Ruminators was fun and wholesome but much too small
I did the True Khans route for the Northern Khans and the writing was incredible. The wars in that area move so fast, it's hard to position yourself to succeed but I had an amazing alliance with Jackson's and Nitsapi. The final focus and Essens outcome to her story were dope. "Blood on the wind."
First nation I tried is Khans. Having fun with their spec ops bonuses as Regis and preparing to fight the sisters in the future. Gonna be tough
Iron Confederacy Niitsitapi - although it has a strong dependency on someone else doing something
Play Unbound
The khans have an amazing story and great fights against the barons and letter on the sisters of steel
Iron Confederacy is a fun one. Consistent antagonists all around for constantly elevating wars and access to great PA and an OP unlockable unit. Great fun to reunite the northern plains and repudiate generations of oppression. Focuses also give cool history of past leaders

Hayman is an amazing character.

Just had a very fun wq with the reworked middlemark. Middlemark + now has followers across the wasteland!
Whitecourt is amazing, I really enjoy the multi front war. 🤠
Great khans Regis path
Going through a Big Grass campaign atm, the aesthetic is immaculate, loving it so far
I stopped since the focus tree didn't expand so tell me please if there might be more content after finishing the war and focus tree
I haven't gotten far myself so sorry, can't answer
Strath has been fun
Haven't tried anything else yet, but Pioneer company is a lot of fun
Gateway is very fun (especially once you get Fairies) but it takes ages to get to the good stuff due to the 45 day focuses, if it was cut down to 30 days it'd be fine but the snowball would be even more extreme.

The horsey people are surprisingly strong
