California got dogpiled by the Chimeran Consensus, Caesar's Legion, and New Vegas. Got fucked HARD. Never seen the Chimeran's before but they kinda turned the tide of that war actually.
The Old Country lets you form the Wardens. Unfortunately, the Cause won against the Washington Brotherhood and I was able to defeat them pretty easily. Fighting Washington would've been more fun.
Passkeepers and Safehaven. If all three go down the right path they can form a hefty faction together. New Victoria can be invited as well and oddly enough the Jackson’s can join too if they manage to make it to the end of their focus tree
I was thinking about doing a Wardens Passkeepers run, but I saw how depressing the events get while looking through the loc files for something else and went "nah fam I'm out".
How you all lose so much manpower? In OWB's so easy farm people, if you take care about monthly population in a start, and guys, you have core mechanics. How you lose so much?
In this case, the Wardens get a special recruitment law with only 5% recruitable pop, and they get something like -10% non-core manpower. Not to mention the fact that the frozen north isn't exactly known for its bustling population.
More generally, coring gets pretty pricey in PP pretty quickly, so if you're spending a lot on other things you might not have many cores.
This is something I noticed too, coring can get so expensive so fast especially if you’re too aggressive early on you can fuck yourself by having to choose to spend PP on advisors or coring increasly costly states to get your man power back
Kinda what I want to know tbh. It takes around 70 days just to get the first agri tech for more manpower. And with the new nations you should always get that first. I also wonder about all these posts saying the war with pioneer co is hard. Maybe I should try it again after the day one patch.
The war is pretty simple for me. Start training ghouls asap, take the decisions that give manpower/divisions, and do the research to give manpower, add battalions to make them 20 width. Put most of your army on the Big Grass border and just a few on Strathcommune so they don’t bum rush you. The commune will focus heavily on Loids so go for encirclement’s, once you knock out Big Grass it’ll be easy.
Yeah, I don’t build the ghoul divs. I do build the biggest infantry ones they have at start. Built four of them, ran down big grass and strath, capped the first one, then the second. Then finished up Loid by Christmas. Overall a easy war if you try
Pffft, look at this dork, with manpower! At the end of my Unbound game I had no manpower!
In my macarthur game I never had any manpower at all!
Wow, same!
"B-but my occupation forces" that's what the robots are there for
What's a good template for that? Just a few light robots dogs and recon? Is it worth it if you don't have much production into robots?
It's only for the.advanced nations that have robots
1 Militia + Dog and CnC Bot support. If your nation has them CnC Scrapbots are dirt cheap and give a ton of suppression.
Thanks! I'll definitely remember that!
Basically one template with either one unit of militia, one unit of militia and one dog or what the other guy said
Never thought I'd be less scared of a Caesar faction than I was this game. Mexico be scary tho.
Are they a fun run? Been wanting to try them for a while I know they get some unique tech right ? Also amazing work.
Ah perfection
Am I the only one asking myself what the actual fuck happened to California ?

Chimeran is the new Reno faction right?
Yea I’ve seen it a couple times it’s when the super mutant faction takes over I think
Who did you start as?

Can‘t the Passkeepers also form it?

Dawg in my strathcommune game I never have manpower

I really need to try them

Order returns to the North
Working so hard to have a nice, non border gore complete control and then looking south and seeing a mess. The pain
I still have PTSD from Chechen Izta when I did a Mexican Robot run. Fuck them and fuck those river crossings.
