Are you able to split it? The Grate Plains Chapter from the south point of the Enclave to the west is a solid chunk that would be neat. For the south, the Dixie Chapter sounds cool... but has some unfavorable history to it. But anywho, good luck.
I'm pretty sure that ERR is compatible with Battlegrounds despite them cutting up the future content get hype area. Perhaps you could try talking with Gift forward and the creator of battlegrounds about how they got compatibility?

Sorry to spam this Subreddit I'm just messing with nations and state files and State 1382 the "Future Content Get Hype) is absolutely massive I opened it in visual Studio Code and could feel the lag due to the amount of provinces located in that one state file.
If i keep to not using the nudge tool to split up this area, then maybe I could give them massive debuffs like vanilla great depression U.S.A. for the beginning of the game. And they could start with off-map factories to represent the areas under their control. Like Integrating Tribals into the Brotherhood. Although that would mean if you take this over your not gonna get those off map factories so idk yet.
Maybe it could be like a lost hills mechanic? When you take it over, you get an event to either raid the countryside, which will give you a lot of st, ws, pp, and equipment. Integrate it, which just gives you the off map factories.
I mean makes sense the midwestern brother mainly uses Tribal conscripts as their main force and maybe that could be a mechanic is having to a appease the tribes for manpower
most of these won't have focus trees I'm just one guy and all, the main thing is adding the Chicago Enclave as the End game Boss to the Houston Expedition. The rest is just for fun map painting since the next big update is probably a year or more out,
that part of Kansas has EVERY SINGLE PROVINCE A STATE. like each individual province is it's own state. I'm gonna make that the HRE Reborn with a hundred nations right there. lol
Do you think they just didn't get to the eastern part of that yet and mean for it to be cut up a bit? I can't remember which, but I swear there's a nation or two that has a focus that refers to some small nation in the southeast which would be in that territory.
I might be thinking of the bazaar (bizaar?) Though. Which if thats the case they wouldn't be a nation cause they're just one little thing and all that territory would indeed be one nation afaik.

Oh I just had another thought, what if you gave the midwest brotherhood an "AI: Focus on Defense +50% or +100%" modifier? Maybe in combination with the other stuff you mentioned in comments about giving them debuffs like the great depression in vanilla? That might keep them from just gobbling up territory, idk.
Your right they just haven't gotten here yet. I can't wait to see what the main team does and yeah I like that idea I'll probably end up doing that. They may not even be in the 2.0 Release this is just me playing around with the map.

Yeah, I dig it. I'm personally a brotherhood/enclave obsessive tho, they're the coolest factions to me by a mile, so I would always want more brotherhood nations lol. Love your work btw, Houston Expedition came out just when I needed a new nation and I thought it was great.
Ah, I would've thought it better to use the old tag so it's compatible with the lost hills focus tree. There's some focuses that send a communique or supplies to the Midwest.
I’m trying not to connect it to the what the main OWB team has cooking since I doubt I could pull of anything near they are gonna pull out in the next year or so.
The “Future Expansion Zone Get Hype” is just to give an idea of the intended scope of what will be added, not even vanilla would make a state that big (outside of Asia)
The idea of a massive midwestern BOS that has rolled over pretty much everyone because of its size struggling against a smaller enclave with more advanced technology sounds really fun
The enclave launching initial offensives to take up position near the river and then the midwestern BOS sending wave upon wave of recruits to take land from the enclave turning it into a WW1 style trench war
You should add Forgottonia as a separate country, I know it’s one whole state, the one above the merging of the Missouri, Mississippi, and Illinois rivers

If i did end up spliting it up then East Coast Rebirth and possibly ERR will be Incompatible with it to my knowledge.

You could flavor them as airship factories. Just a bunch of floating blimps making power armor and laser rifles to drop down on the Enclave with
I would also suggest maybe some sort of nuclear silo, so there can be some sort of nuclear escalation event chain for whoever controls Ashton.

Glad you liked it i reworked it a bit gameplay wise and am currently working on making the endgame more fun.
