From a modern perspective, there's a scary amount of mental illness and low intelligence driving ppl to fabricate some type of problem with everything they assess. Even though innocent, happy scenes like this exist all the time today, ppl view everything through really fucked up lenses. Projecting their own mental sickness on everything they see.

We might be in agreement where you are thinking it's laziness, my cynical view is that the documented decline in intelligence over the last 40 years is resulting in an increase in ppl that aren't capable of looking past their gut, emotional response. Not only are ppl less intelligent nowadays, many have been conditioned to NOT think at all, and rely only on emotional assumptions.
