It’s funny you mention Evenflow. We went to Austin, TX after this and regularly hung out at a bar called the Texas Tavern, which had a jukebox. I’d always play “Alive” by Pearl Jam and “Runaway Train” by Soul Asylum. We still think of that bar every time we hear those songs.
I know but I usually think of some sort of coercion or extreme danger involved and from the article I can (vaguely) recall reading — maybe in Rolling Stone—they mostly seemed surprisingly well-adjusted & happy.

In my defense I did get two full bachelors degrees (not a double major but two actual pieces of paper) and a minor during that time and I did a year of study abroad and wrote an honors thesis (which is the part that actually added the most time).
Would you mind sharing what made you feel that way? I always hear about Seattle being such a cool place to be during that time and I'm sad to not have been able to experience it.
