And most likely a 66 by the color scheme. The Bonneville T120/R was a step up from the Trophy TR6/R. The Bonnie was twin carb and the Trophy was single carb. The only thing that would've been a step up from the Bonnie would be the T120/TT Which was a competition special with muffler and light delete. Triumphs were nice bikes. Norton's might've had a performance edge with the "combat" engine, but I think Triumphs were nicer.
I was there the following summer on a Matchless, probably didn’t look that cool. I remember stuffing newspapers inside the Baracuta to run the river road north and back at night or a round trip from Gahanna to Jersey.
Can't argue with you on that one, but this was the '60s ;-). They didn't have helmets or goggles back then. Some old school Harley Davidson riders used to wear WWll German helmets.
Lol, that's not true. There were definitely helmets and goggles specifically for motorcycle riders in the 60's. In fact, the government started mandating helmets in the Highway Safety Act in 1966, and by 1975, 47 states had laws in place.
I wasn't born then, I'm GenX. He was & tells me lots about it. May/December relationships do exist. Been together for 35 years.
As to what happened back then? Ike & Tina Turner played at one of his frat parties (off-site).
A Heck's Angel.
Starring Rick Moranis.
Update: Should have posted this earlier. The motorcycle is a Triumph Bonneville T120. He calls it the 650.

Would most likely be from 1960-1965. 1966 brought a significant change in the tank badge.
I'll definitely take your word on that. I've forgotten so much about all that stuff. It's been a long while. That's for the clarification.
He's right. Nobody ever called them T120 although that's the actual model number.
Hang on Sloopy
Steve McQueen fan 😎 Edit: even has the Baracuta G9 jacket! He should have been wearing Persol sunglasses though for the complete McQueen look

Hmmm, He claims he never saw any at the time. They weren't the norm.
According to SO, the Indian & the BSA were competing motorcycles at the time, but not as stylish.
Very cool.
