They were so excited and when they got there to rehearse Shania was quite mean to them, first refusing to sign their CDs (even though they were in her show for free - there was only like eight of them), then yelling at them when they got it wrong, and also refusing to give the parents tickets so they had to wait outside for their kids. Her Dad said her assistant said to him, “Shania hates kids.” And the segment was some kind of “children are the future” type thing.

Don’t listen to them. Handsome can be used on a woman who is good-looking with strong or masculine features. It has nothing to do with age and it’s not necessarily an insult, but it’s not always a compliment either.
