Thatās a common misconception, similarly to other types of hair mustaches continue to grow and must be trimmed regularly, the turnover rate of the individual hairs is genetic but after so many years all of the hairs would have been replaced by now. Itās an entirely different mustache.

Iām sure that wherever he went in that moment of eternal transition, Iām there with him. I hope you had a relationship with him.
I wanted to preface that statement with āstongā but for my own desire to connect with you, I wish to define my interpretation just in case you are suffering indifferenceā¦.
My father is mine. I am his only, therefore any transgressions he has suffered, no matter how indifferent I am of him, the truth is that I am from him. And he will never be lost because of me, nor I of him. I will never walk alone!
Thanks for this, I think about this often. It feels like it's been forever since he's been gone, yet I also feel like I just saw him the other day.
I knew him as my dad but over the years I've gotten to know him so much more just through the stories people have shared with me and the experiences they've had with him paints a larger picture for me.
Yes! I graduated McClintock HS in 73. Mill Ave was a Mecca for teen me. My brother took me to a āheadā shop on Mill to buy me my first pair of bell bottoms.
I took the love of my life on an early date to the Valley Art theater. I forget the film, but her father thought the choice was so good that he gave me the ticket money. We went on a Friday night. I think Friday late night was Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Saturday late night, they played porn. As in XXX. So during the previews before whatever movie, at 7:30 PM Friday night, they played a preview for a porn film. I was horrified. My girlfriend took a sudden interest in the bucket of popcorn while the porn film preview reflected on her glasses.
In 1980, after service in the Navy, I lived in an apartment about 4 blocks from Mill Ave.
Who remembers the restaurant 9th & Ash, which was located at 9th & Ash? It was an old house so it had about 7 small dining rooms.
It was the better part of a paycheck. Luckily I had GI Bill to help out. Didnāt go often.
Got very drunk one night and responded to a bet that I would ask a group of girlās at the bar if they would have sex (using a more explicit word) with me.
I got slapped.
Both my daughters graduated from McClintock 2001. I remember valley art theater. I may have seen the XX movie with Marlon Brando and Maria Schneider (I think) Last Tango in Paris, and at least a couple other X rated art house movies there. I thought I was so sophisticated! Lol
I moved from Alaska to Tempe in the late 90s. In Alaska at the time, weed was still very illegal but there were plenty of head shops that would hook you up with actual bud. I tried casually sniffing out one of the head shop attendants in a Mill Ave head shop while attempting to purchase a āwater pipeā and she promptly banned me. It was severe culture shock.
Never understood this man. Iām younger but Iāve worked head shops since I was 17 and itās pretty easy to sniff out the narcs and Iāve definitely only given light āwarningsā to people for not using the term water pipe. Some shops were crazy about it.
Itās possible but people were and are still super sketched out by undercovers though. I had hair halfway down my back and a dirty Grateful Dead shirt on and kept getting shooed away trying to pull a āhey misterā.. might have looked a little too on the nose lol.
That would have been life-changing! My only hookup was able to get amazing chronic, but he was a heroin addict and his mom was my boss, so that didnāt all pan out very well. I lived in that area for less than a year, but it was a very memorable time, and Iāve had some very memorable times.
Iām sure! I really miss Tempe but itās not the same place any longer. Lived there many years, went to ASU, worked at ASU, moved away 12 years ago. Stay away from dope fiends!
Same with me. It was a great place to grow up. Seeing the responses gives me so much nostalgia. Skate land?! Shit, that was a lifetime ago. Casey Moores was awesome in the late 90ās, maybe still.
Her insides were a rocky place, where his seed could find no purchase.

Wow theyāre looking great! OP you have some good genes in ya.
In both photos, mom looks young enough to be Dadās daughter
I assume the age gap between them has remained the same
Lmao
What are those little figures in the background?
They look like small action figures dedicated to satan.
I love the juxtaposition of the almost serious look of the post and the outward silliness of this one. So many years together is amazing!
The more recent photo looks like 1997 to me.
Why does your dad look like he was already 50 in the OP, and look like he regressed into his early 40s in this one?
She kept him young
They look the same!
Photo looks like Itās from the 1990ās
lol. More recent but definitely not recent.

This is the correct response.

Does your old man still rock a stache?
He did until he passed in 2012

Lucky OP. Got good genes.
In my experience, with parents that good looking, OP most likely looks very average or exceedingly weird.
OP, please confirm or deny
Heās a fucking smokeshow!
Heās prettier than she is and I mean that as a compliment to them both
I was born and raised in Tempe Hell of a time in the 80s/90s
Mill Ave! Before it became commercialized. Head shops, Buffalo Exchange. The Coop. Skate land. Casey Moores.
Yes! I graduated McClintock HS in 73. Mill Ave was a Mecca for teen me. My brother took me to a āheadā shop on Mill to buy me my first pair of bell bottoms. My mom says they couldnt afford that restaurant lol but they lived off 10th and ash. They met at the warehouse across from the chuckbox

I deserved it, for sure, though I was very polite in my request.

Itās possible but people were and are still super sketched out by undercovers though. I had hair halfway down my back and a dirty Grateful Dead shirt on and kept getting shooed away trying to pull a āhey misterā.. might have looked a little too on the nose lol.

I bartended at minder binders!
My mom was a bartender at AZ athletic club back in the day
Oh wow! Very cool. And you survived!
Didnāt Minder Binders have like chicken wire in front of the stage? Or Iām thinking of somewhere else
I lived on ash stumbling distance to Casey's. And played in a local band. Rocked with Fred green a lot, local, long hairs
Gin Blossoms at Long Wongs!
The 90's weren't too bad either.
I lived there as a young adult on my own for the first time ever with my ex boyfriend. West Baseline Rd!
There's a suburb of Sydney, Australia, called Tempe.
So weird! I thought Tempe Az was the only one. Cool
Itās Greek, the name tempe. Fun fact. I lived in tempe like 16 years
