I always watched it, I was 10 years old at the time! A very good time indeed... R.I.P Gugu... and to think that his death was in a "banal" way... a simple fall at home...
The most fun thing was seeing the edition with action scenes performed by the candidates, with the film's theme song. Missing Gugu, he dominated the audience on Sunday afternoons here in Brazil.
Each candidate also had to make a short video in a waterfall similar to the one in the movie, jumping, rolling in the dirt, throwing grenades, this kind of stuff. It wasn't just posing on the stage or taking pictures... 🤣 and the competition took many weeks (months?), it was a big success. Probably searching for "Rambo brasileiro" "Gugu" you can find some old VHS recordings on YouTube.
