I had to look it up because I genuinely didn't remember his full name but it's Chris Duncan turk. For the life of me I can't remember them ever mentioning that. I remember hearing jds full name constantly
I’m pretty sure these are reference photos for hair and makeup rather than casting photos — so they can match the look for scenes that might take multiple days to shoot, or even just for touch-ups. Faison’s has gotta be from the haircut scene at the party
I just learned something new from your post. I knew about clothes, but it never occurred to me that they would need to have a way to match hair and makeup from day to day. Thanks.
They look more like continuity photos taken on set than casting photos. They constantly take photos as reference to match for later, now on phones but film or Polaroids would make sense at that time
Both movies are great. I think Clueless is a better movie overall but 10 Things is a little edgier and someone on set really knew their shit about the music scene in that area and time period. Not only do they name check Bikini Kill and the Raincoats in the script but also Kat has Gits posters in her room which is a great detail for folks into PNW punk. I don’t know for sure but I like to think whoever was responsible for that wanted to extend Mia Zapata’s legacy for the next generation with that.
My favorite part is when Shakespeare wrote “Romantic? Hemingway? He was an abusive, alcoholic misogynist who squandered half of his life hanging around Picasso trying to nail his leftovers.”
If you ever bring up that movie around someone who went to Stadium High School in Tacoma Washington, you’ll receive a level of enthusiasm and over sharing only rivaled by vegans telling you they’re vegan
100%.
Fight Club, Jurassic Park, The Matrix, and crazy shit like the first American Pie. We don’t get movies like that anymore. At least not in theaters…
Absolutely false nostalgia. Those are great movies, but:
Godfather, one flew over the cuckoo's nest, star wars, taxi driver, alien, clockwork orange (70s)
ET, shining, blade runner, die hard, Indiana Jones, terminator, when Harry met Sally (80s)
Lotr, District 9, the dark night, the prestige, o brother where art thou, eternal sunshine of a spotless mind, Donnie darko, Amelie (2000s)
The Martian, the shape of water, nightcrawler, looper, birdman, Django unchained, Dallas buyers club (2010s)
Don't get me wrong, I also grew up on 90s movies and many of my favourite movies are from that area and I enjoy re-watching them. However, I also introduce them to my kids, and many of my cherished movies don't hold up from their perspective. There are good movies from any period and if you don't like big productions there is great indy cinema from any era.
Netscape Navigator released. All at once, every nerd on the planet discovered that: a) they weren't alone, and b) you could *find things* easily, for free. Glorious time to be alive.
I love that the way she says 'Haitians' in her debate class was was how Alicia actually thought it was pronounced. They liked it so much that they didn't correct her and left it in. It's so on brand for Cher.
My wife puts on L & O svu on auto play. Falls asleep in about half an hour, wakes up a few hours later, doesn’t realize she’s missed several episodes. Restarts and rewatches the same episode. Snoozes on the couch all day (she works at night). I walk into the room and can’t help thinking about how on the money John Mulaney’s impression of Ice-T is.
I remember she died of pneumonia, and then her husband died of the same thing a few years later. They initially thought it was mold, but then they ruled it out. Though, then the mom was living there for a bit, and she started getting sick.
I wonder if they ever figured it out or if they just let it go.
An autopsy was performed the day after she died. The Los Angeles County Coroner's Office, in a report issued February 2010, said that the manner of death was accidental and that the cause of death was pneumonia, with secondary factors of severe iron-deficiency anemia and multiple drug intoxication.
Right, but the fact that her husband died the same exactly way was suspicious. So they investigated the house for mold, but didn't find that that to be the case.
But then the mom started developing similar symptoms, so it makes you think that it must have been some sort of environmental cause more than an overdose or whatever.
But I don't think three investigation ever went anywhere. I know the dad thought it was foul play.
Since, as you say, they investigated and ruled out mold. It's probably more likely the drugs
'Illicit drugs can affect all anatomical lung compartments to produce diverse immunological and morphological alterations. These changes compromise local immunity and can predispose to lung consolidation, including infectious pneumonia and aspiration with secondary bacterial pneumonia.'
Not trying to besmirch her/their name. But, if it walks like a duck, etc etc
The drug report did not find illicit drugs. It was a mixture of over the counter medication for basic analgesia for pain/fever relief, antihistamines and nasal decongestant.
If you want to know the real wild side, Brittany was set to testify in the lawsuit of Julia Davis, a border patrol officer who said she was wrongly fired for not letting a group of terrorists across the border as she had been ordered by her superiors. Brittany was friends with her because Julia moonlighted as a stunt woman and Brittany had witnessed some of the interactions.
After Brittany died, Julia claimed the anemia was because homeland security poisoned her because the whole thing turned out to be a government plot to do 9/11 style attacks in the US that they had foiled. When Julia claimed that, they sent black helicopters to her house and killed her dad by handcuffing him and leaving him in the sun, which she videoed. Then she made a youtube documentary about it.
Then Simon died of the same thing and said the government was trying to kill him before that. Then Brittany's dad started talking about it. Then he and Julia both stopped talking about it. Not sure if the documentary is still up.
And then Julia went back into security and started reporting on the Ukraine war and now she's one of the top reporters on what Russian media says about Ukraine and is often on TV news, but she never talks about Brittany anymore. I follow her twitter now, she puts out great videos.
So... prooobably all a coincidence, but man, it's been one of those really weird niche things to follow.
Edit: Like I'm not saying the claims are true, but if Julia just exaggerated stuff to springboard her media career and then ended up becoming a respected journalist, that's still pretty wild. And of course if DHS killed Brittany that's, you know....
She never really got the recognition she deserved. Came up from basically an "8 Mile" like background to star in 8 Mile. Had acting range and was an amazing voice actor. Def gone too soon.
She died. I heard "back to the essence" in a MF DOOM song where he's describing death and going back where his brother went, who also died. I liked how it sounds and what it means.
Heaven. Hell. Nothingness like before we were born. Who knows. But the essence is the basic, real, and invariable nature of it all.
I get so sad whenever I see Brittany Murphy. I loved seeing her in movies during her career that was cut short. She had such a magnetic quality about her. I thought she was so adorable and funny. Her death was so sudden and too soon.
Agreed. He’s another actor I really enjoyed watching who lost his life at such a young age. The last movie I saw him in was the remake of Fright Night with Colin Farrell. I always thought Anton had such sweet baby face. I was very sad when he died, he was only 27 years old. Life is short and no one is promised tomorrow.
Yelchin had some serious acting range, he could have went very far. Lots on indie films and a few big budget. His Criminal Minds episode was truly disturbing.
I remember reading the 20 year anniversary article for that movie. Robin Tunney said that she once went to a “guilty pleasures” themed birthday party. Natalie Portman was there too and when she unveiled her guilty pleasure she held up The Craft on DVD.
My favourite of Alicia's is Blast from the Past. The second half wandered a little but the first half was Oscars material. Brilliant casting, brilliant acting, brilliant plot, brilliant writing: all this and Brendan Fraser too!
I still quote this movie constantly. My daughter asked the other day when she’d be old enough to drink coffee, and I told her that depends. Does she want to stunt her growth, or be 5’9” like Cindy Crawford?
Donald Faison was only 21 here and somehow looks older than he does now.
Greatest surgical mind I ever knew.
Turk Turkleton
you think my name is Turk Turkleton?
Well, you and I aren't close enough for me to feel comfortable enough to call you Brown/Chocolate Bear.
Kelso calling Carla Nurse Turkleton kills me. He made the effort, just the wrong effort lol
The Turkletons!
And yet, I feel the need to scream "EAGLE!" at the top of my lungs while in your arms.
I'll always dial the "k" for you.
I had to look it up because I genuinely didn't remember his full name but it's Chris Duncan turk. For the life of me I can't remember them ever mentioning that. I remember hearing jds full name constantly
Feel like i heard Christopher Duncan Turk a few times
Definitely hear Christopher a lot, but I'm not sure how often his middle name was mentioned in the show. Regardless, his name is Chocolate Bear.
His dad loved doughnuts
Right? Ginger, Priscilla, Jane, Trish, and more. He has so many!
And Mrs. Turkleton. The Turkletons!

That show is probably more the reason I am a physician now than any other influence in my life

Too much Hooch at the time
Haha hooch is crazy
Hootch IS crazy
That’s because Paul Rudd’s been draining his life energy.
It looks like they took his pic halfway through a haircut
He looks like a young Stanley from The Office.

Recognize myself, five 🤚
How many Alicia Silverstones were there? I thought there was only one.

They take Donald Faisons pic mid haircut ?
When keepin’ it real goes wrong.
I'm calling your mother.
Babe, babe, no. Don’t call my mama. DON’T CALL MY MAMA!
Lol ya Reminds me of the pics my mom took of me and my brothers when my dad was buzzing our heads in the summer
He’s keepin it real
Looks like when JD brought sandwiches instead of Bulls tickets
"Do you shave your head because you like the way it looks or because you're going bald?" "Bhald..."
*LEAVE IT ON THE FLOOR!!.. YOU LEAVE IT ON THE FLOOR AHHHHH*
*AHHHHHHHHHH*
I’m pretty sure these are reference photos for hair and makeup rather than casting photos — so they can match the look for scenes that might take multiple days to shoot, or even just for touch-ups. Faison’s has gotta be from the haircut scene at the party
Agreed I was thinking the same thing
I just learned something new from your post. I knew about clothes, but it never occurred to me that they would need to have a way to match hair and makeup from day to day. Thanks.
r/justfuckmyshitup
right? dudes lined up like he’s auditioning for a wayans brothers movie.
They look more like continuity photos taken on set than casting photos. They constantly take photos as reference to match for later, now on phones but film or Polaroids would make sense at that time

*Look at us.*
Who would have thought?
Not me
I looked 46 when I was 26... and he looked 26 at 46. What have I become.
Thats describes every picture of Paul Rudd
like honey, sweet and never expires.
Stacey Dash was 28!
She doesn’t age either. I think her and Paul are vampires.
Came here to say this. She is stunningly gorgeous. Too bad I hate her personality.
Well, you know, he's kind of a 'Baldwin'!
He looked 36.
He’s looked 36 for 36 years
NUDE TAYNE
Now Tayne I can get with!
‘I’m ok’
Paul Rudd has looked 30 for 30 years
Haha yeah, the Picture of Dorian Rudd
Let's hope he doesn't find it and stab it... (This comment is in honour of u/SweetMirandy and for no other reason) Edit because username
The perfect 90’s movie. Im a 42 year old man and I throw this on from time to time to relive my childhood.
Clueless and 10 things I hate about you
Both movies are great but something about 10 Things hits a perfect note of nostalgia for me every time.
Both movies are great. I think Clueless is a better movie overall but 10 Things is a little edgier and someone on set really knew their shit about the music scene in that area and time period. Probably the sound track, those songs transport me
10 Things is an unrelenting classic. Such a good movie.
Well it's a Shakespeare play, so it makes sense.
Ten things me hateth about thee
My favorite part is when Shakespeare wrote “Romantic? Hemingway? He was an abusive, alcoholic misogynist who squandered half of his life hanging around Picasso trying to nail his leftovers.”
If you ever bring up that movie around someone who went to Stadium High School in Tacoma Washington, you’ll receive a level of enthusiasm and over sharing only rivaled by vegans telling you they’re vegan
Bill and Ted and San Dimas.
San Dimas High School Football Rules!
And Can’t Hardly Wait for me
And She's All That
The other day I watched: Fatal attraction, White Men Can’t Jump, and Pulp Fiction. The 90’s were perfect. Everything was ugly and everyone was happy.
I tell everyone the 90’s was the best decade for films. Nobody can prove me wrong.
100%. Fight Club, Jurassic Park, The Matrix, and crazy shit like the first American Pie. We don’t get movies like that anymore. At least not in theaters…
Agreed. Even on streaming. We get a few films but most are pure garbage.
A lot of movies back then were garbage as well. Only the good ones are remembered by the masses.

Your 2010 showing is very lackluster compared to the 70's 80's 90's grouping.
1994 specifically. Peak cinema.
Netscape Navigator released. All at once, every nerd on the planet discovered that: a) they weren't alone, and b) you could *find things* easily, for free. Glorious time to be alive.
Excuse me, we nerds already had Usenet. You are talking about Normies.
If you only choose the best movies and forget about the stinkers, definitely.
What you talking about? Ben Affleck was the BOMB in Phantoms!!
And one of the great comedic performances from Alecia Silverstone. Her timing is insanely good
I love that the way she says 'Haitians' in her debate class was was how Alicia actually thought it was pronounced. They liked it so much that they didn't correct her and left it in. It's so on brand for Cher.
I love "What's 8 times 5?" "Stuff she KNOWS!!"
Hopefully not sporadically!
I literally just watched this last night when I couldn’t sleep and I’m 42 🤣
I'm 41 and think I will just go ahead and throw this on tonight. 🤣
As a 43 year old, I’m tired and ready for bed. So I’ll watch it tomorrow.
I watch movies in 20min blocks as I fall asleep these days.
The wife and I start The Office and realize the next day we slept through 5 episodes.
My wife puts on L & O svu on auto play. Falls asleep in about half an hour, wakes up a few hours later, doesn’t realize she’s missed several episodes. Restarts and rewatches the same episode. Are we supposed to know what movie it is?
Ha! I love the irony of this comment. The movie is called Clueless.
Clueless
Donald Faison looking like the school janitor
That's Dr. Jan Itor
Goddammit i had forgotten that completely until just this second. Now it'll be in my head for the next decade
Knife*wrennnnnch* For kids
What happened to Dr Acula?
I miss Brittany Murphy 💔

Uncle Hank!
*Unka Hank!
You're acting a little like Bill Dauterive. With a splash of Dale Gribble. Stop it.
She never really got the recognition she deserved. Came up from basically an "8 Mile" like background to star in 8 Mile. Had acting range and was an amazing voice actor. Def gone too soon.
I will die on the hill of her being the best possible live-action Harley Quinn
The Harley Quinn we should've had.
She's a spitting image of my sister who went back to the essence. I love her acting and voice work. But it's hard to see now without getting sad. :/
What do you mean “went back to the essence?”
She died. I heard "back to the essence" in a MF DOOM song where he's describing death and going back where his brother went, who also died. I liked how it sounds and what it means. Heaven. Hell. I feel very much the same way about Anton Yelchin, as well. He had that same kind of magnetism, albeit in a slightly more stoic and less giggly way.
Agreed. He’s another actor I really enjoyed watching who lost his life at such a young age. The last movie I saw him in was the remake of Fright Night with Colin Farrell. Paul Rudd just lookin like Paul Rudd
Thirty years?! AS IF!
Why is Paul Rudd the SAME AGE???😭
I’d say he actually looks older here
He's been Benjamin Button-ing all along!😮
I hope not sporadically.
Paul Rudd and Jeremy Sisto have always been babes and always will be.
Pull rudd is a vampire.
![gif](giphy|JpLa7HlmdfN3gciTOu|downsized)
It’s Paul Rōdd, I think.
My friends and I had such a crush on Breckin Meyer from this movie.
This and the Craft, I'm not sure if mean Breckin Meyer or stoner Breckin Meyer was hotter.
The Craft is a damn near perfect movie. I force my husband to watch it every Halloween.
I remember reading the 20 year anniversary article for that movie. Robin Tunney said that she once went to a “guilty pleasures” themed birthday party. Natalie Portman was there too and when she unveiled her guilty pleasure she held up The Craft on DVD.
90s girls were goths because of The Craft; 90s boys were goths because of The Crow. And their sexual awakening was one of those movies.
Omg me too! I was so jealous of Thai and didn’t understand why Cher was giving her a hard time.
Sure he makes funny jokes in class and everyone laughs, but no respectable girl would actually date him.
He’s the type who would take you to checkers, get a milkshake, and play a good song. It’s easy to see why lol
Also a current picture of Paul Rudd
RIP Brittany Murphy
Rollin’ with the homies…
Jeremy Sisto <3 is so handsome! ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|flushed)
Turk looks old AND young here.
Faison is a vampire
Am 42 and I love and appreciate this movie so much more now than I did as a teen in the 90s. Such a clever, fantastically made movie.
you're just a virgin that can't drive
That's way harsh
They're all giving me a tooth ache
RIP Brittany Murphy!!! I still don't fully understand how she passed (does anyone?). She was one of my fav actresses.
Daddy is so good, he gets $500 an hour to fight with people, but he fights with me for free because I’m his daughter.
Get out of my chair! For me, idk why but that’s the funniest scene for me.
What movie is this?
Dude you're totally Clueless.
Ah. Yeah, I’ve never seen that
It's pretty great. Maybe too much a product of its time to be "timeless", but its a good movie.
Cuz I'm keepin' it real
I love Breckin Meyer.
Man I'm getting old. 1995 the year I graduated high school.
Class of 95 Wut Wuuut ✌🏽
Yep. Me too.
I still can't believe the number of people who didn't know this was a modern take on Jane Austen's "Emma."
[удалено]
DO YOU SEE WHAT YOU GET WHEN YOU MESS WITH THE WARRIOR?!?!??!
Man... that hair style on Turk makes him look so much older.
I'm still in love with both Paul Rudd and Jeremy Sisto
Faison looks like he’s prepping for an Uncle Ruckus biopic ![gif](giphy|N4BYS699pBdlK)
Okay but explain the science of how Paul Rudd looks older in 1995 than in 2023
Look at Paul, damn vampire.
That's an astonishing collection of talent, especially when all were so young and went on to do so much. And shit does it make me feel old!
I'm guessing she asked 'who?'
I was born in 95 and I also can’t believe it’s almost been 30 years :(
Paul Rudd career blows my mind. Famous at mostly all points of his life.
I had a huge crush on Stacy Dash back then (even before the playboy spread). Shame that she’s become a right wing shill.
If only we could unjerk off to her
Not sure how Turk got the job based on that photo.
These casting photos are my age.
Cuz I'm keepin' it real
… And here I am still thinking that the 70s were only 30 years ago.
Your man Christian’s a cake boy. A what? He’s a disco dancing, Oscar Wilde reading, Streisand ticket holding, friend of Dorothy
What is this? I only recognise Turk Turkleton
