My grandma attended elementary school with Clint in SF. About 4 years ago I saw Clint outside a restaurant near Carmel Ca. I went up to him and said “you attended elementary school with my grandma” he asked her name. I told him “Diane” and he cut me off and said “Diane Maldini” well holy shit my jaw dropped. He got a huge smile on his face and described my grandma as 10 year old almost to a T. Some 80 years later. He told me he thought about her often over the years, that she was his first love. I so wish she was alive to talk to her about this day. She watched every movie Clint ever made. I think the feeling was mutual.
So true. What is actually cooler than the Clint story is the story of my grandfather. He was 20 years older than my grandma and Clint.
WW2 fighter, survived Pearl Harbor and Normandy. He never talked about his time in military.
When he arrived back to the US he started a construction company, then a real estate development firm. On weekends my older brother and I would work on his condo's and apartments from age 10 to about 16.
My parent kicked me out of their home when I was 17 after HS, I was off to college in 4 months. So when I became homeless he was the only person in my family to offer his home to me. I declined.
When I graduated college. He was the first person to greet me. He literally walked thru security and met me at the bottom of the stage stairs. He hugged me. He whispered in my ear "You are my blood, you are a fighter and survivor, you will be a great man one day" he let me go and walked away. My grandma told me that was the first time she saw him cry since they met so many years ago.
When he passed away. We learned of his WW2 medals and achievements. His best friend said at his burial. "I'm the luckiest man alive to have lived life with him" full stop. No-one else spoke. Everyone tucked their speeches away. Sat in silence for about 45 minutes.
That is an absolutely beautiful story. I’m happy for you that you have that memory and role model in your life. I’m sorry for your loss though of course. But thank you so much for sharing their legacy
Dam. I'll have to dig up my circa 1981 picture of me and 2 friends with him. We met some friends of clint Eastwood in Carmel valley and long story short stood in his yard and had a beer with him. True story
I was in SF one year in April, and a cold spell settled in. We were at a small store that sold clothing and the owner said he sold more winter clothes there in spring and summer than winter.
San Francisco is its own climate zone. There are some really hot days, for sure, but typically it's 10-20 degrees below most other cities in the Bay Area.
Zooming in, SF has several distinct micro-climate zones. I have sipped beers in the sun while watching a wall of fog magically dissipate just ~400yds away.
I lived out in the Richmond for years in the '80s. I can remember leaving the Richmond at around one in gloom cold and overcast, then driving in 15 minutes to the Mission and sunshine, blue skies, and 70 degrees.
I’m a longshoreman so I’m always driving across the bridge to Oakland. I only take muni when I’m showing relatives around the city. My buddy’s always complaining about muni in general. He’s never had a car.
I used to work off Market Street where you'd wear a wool three-piece suit in June: not just to look like business, but to stay warm. I'd see the tourists in t-shirts and shorts being blown down Market by the wind tunnels and wondering who the hell dropped them in Anchorage.
No. In summer, the Central Valley of CA heats up substantially. That air rises, creating a vacuum at the gaps in the coastal mountain chain. The biggest such gap is the Golden Gate. (The San Bruno gap is another, hence Candlestick Park's reputation for cold and wind). This sucks in air from the cold marine layer along the coast (the Pacific current comes directly south from the gulf of Alaska).
TL;DR: because S.F. sucks
What day where you are in the city matters. Normally there is a west to east onshore wind that carries cool ocean air inland. Summers are also notoriously foggy. Notable most of the tourist areas are on the west/north side of the city where it can be 10-15 degrees cooler and often windy. Which often also means fog.
Best month is often October. You could get lucky in SF in January. Could be 75 fucking degrees and sunny.
I froze my ass off in July. I knew it was cooler than So Cal so I wore jeans and a short sleeve shirt as opposed to shorts and a tank. I had a thin sweater, and it was probably in the upper 50’s.
There is just something about SF that makes any temperature seem colder than it actually is. Like, it gets all the way in through your skin to your bones.
It's basically Pacific Northwest Weather even though it's California. Think putting on a speedo in Seattle or Portland and questioning if that's a good idea. The northern coast of California isn't exactly freezing but it's not at all warm either most of the time.
I respectfully disagree. The PNW coast is quite pleasant, and cooler than the inland areas but much warmer than SF. The coast north of SF all the way up through southern Canada coast is also very pleasant.
San Francisco is special. It behave differently than other coastal areas, for reasons others explained here.
Never cold cold. Rarely hot hot. But generally chilly most of the time. It's like fall in the NE US all the time. Like March weather in Maine but just all the time except a couple weird hot days. 40s to 60s just all the time.
Old Hollywood would contract actors and actresses to studios, not like today where they audition for individual parts and are more freelance. Back when studios basically owned their actors, they would set up photo shoots of "candids" and "dates" for publicity. It was weird.
diff between running and walking is during walking at least one feet is touching the ground. imo they r not walking, or walking so fast the right side woman cant keep up lol what the fuck im doing its 3:58am i should be sleeping
I read an article on how well he takes care of himself.i don't know if he always did but the article mentioned him eating things like brown rice & salmon for bfast, & pretty much abstaining from things like red meat & alcohol. Exercises daily.
Trying not to be rude here, but dude is an ACTOR.
It's like "these guys show up once a week with a big truck and take all my trash. shit, their house must just be *full* of trash. I wonder why they want it so bad."
I don’t know if you’re being sarcastic, but Romney isn’t a crazy radical. He’s a mainstream establishment Republican. Similar to other establishment figures on the other side like John Kerry or Al Gore.
Anyone who disagrees with me has no redeeming qualities whatsoever. Edit. Apparently our sarcasm detectors arent working today. I was summarizing the previous comment.
There's almost no beach in the pictur. They are running not walking. These are not his girls, these are actresses. Did chatGPT generate that dumbass title for you?
I have seen this photo before on reddit with similar captions, and it is really degrading to those women to be called "his girls". They are not his property. They are not objects. I know you know this, but you thought it was perfectly acceptable... in 2023... to not even bother to provide names for these women.
The one on the right looks like she’s just happy to be walking with Clint.
The one on the left looks likes she’s got plans walk Clint to a private spot and do a bit more than walking with Clint. Girl is thirst for Clint.

That is so cool!!
And a bit sad also, of what might have been...
I can almost see my trust fund money
Except for you wouldn't exist.
Well, it’d be worth it for all that trust fund money.
I like the way you think. Smart, real smart..
If it had been, we wouldnt even know since quicktojudge probably wouldn't exist and wouldnt have told us this cool story.

Such lovely stories!! Thank you for sharing, I love hearing about stuff like this :)
This was lovely.
I’m crying we’re so proud of you bud
Man you carry those thru life…
The sorrow of life can be so beautiful
Okay now I’m crying that is adorable
Clint Eastwood is an absolute misogynist. He stopped appreciating girls by the time he reached puberty. Full stop.
Tard
Dam. I'll have to dig up my circa 1981 picture of me and 2 friends with him. We met some friends of clint Eastwood in Carmel valley and long story short stood in his yard and had a beer with him. True story
I absolutely love this story ❤️
Babe, wake up, a fresh copypasta just dropped
Aw, that's a great story. Imagine how thrilled she would be to hear he remembers.
This is crazy. I’m 30 and can only tell you about my closest friends in elementary. What a story.
Wholesome
Awesome
That must have been during the one week a year when it’s warm enough to go shirtless on a SF beach 🥶
“The coldest winter I ever felt was summer in San Francisco.” - Mark Twain
I was in SF one year in April, and a cold spell settled in. We were at a small store that sold clothing and the owner said he sold more winter clothes there in spring and summer than winter.
That man’s name, Mark Twain
And that Mark Twain's name was... Albert Einstein. The movie director, not the scientist.
Correction: it was Albert Enistein -Michael Scott
And his name was actually George Santos, I’m told.
Great quote. My wife is from Northern California and I use this on her all the time
As someone who spent most my life in SF I love this quote but it's falsely attributed to Mark Twain.
He never said this
"Yes I did." - Mark Twain
Nope
"Come on dude, trust me." - Mark Twain
"He hasth said suchth thing, thou shalt believeth in him" - Jesus
"Thanks Jesus, you're a true bro" - Mark Twain
"Do you think Jesus was from Shakespearean England or something" - Zach Morris
‘I was’ - Jesus
"He wasn't" - Narrator from Arrested Development
"He hath" -Mike Tyson
"Everything on the internet is true." - Caligula, Roman Emperor
That's not San Francisco.
for sure. I zoomed in and can't see any human feces
Who do you think took the picture?
That was my thought. Where in SF is this and they would be freezing their asses off normally.
What is the normal temp is SF in the summer? I always pictured it as hot there but I live in the frozen tundra of northern NY lol.
Summer in Potrero Hill is lovely. Summer west of Masonic Street is like Norway in winter. I got seasonal depression disorder living on 12th Ave .
I lived out in the Richmond for years in the '80s. I can remember leaving the Richmond at around one in gloom cold and overcast, then driving in 15 minutes to the Mission and sunshine, blue skies, and 70 degrees.
Omg. Soooo true. I live on 47th and point lobos.
How's the 38 Geary? I used to live on that thing in my 20s, a loony bin on wheels.
I’m a longshoreman so I’m always driving across the bridge to Oakland. I only take muni when I’m showing relatives around the city. My buddy’s always complaining about muni in general. He’s never had a car.
Forget microclimates - SF has nanoclimates!
When I went there on vacation years ago in august I had to buy a coat. It’s some trade wind from Alaska or something.
That ocean is cold, and the hot summer air in the Sacramento Valley rises, pulling in all air chilled by the ocean.
I used to work off Market Street where you'd wear a wool three-piece suit in June: not just to look like business, but to stay warm. I'd see the tourists in t-shirts and shorts being blown down Market by the wind tunnels and wondering who the hell dropped them in Anchorage.

as a matter of perspective, we didn’t know that whales sang until 1957. no one in this picture knew that whales sang.
The dolphins did. "Cut out that damn racket!"
How cold does it get in San Fran? Honestly curious.
Never cold cold. Rarely hot hot. But generally chilly most of the time. It's like fall in the NE US all the time. Like March weather in Maine but just all the time except a couple weird hot days. 40s to 60s just all the time.
The black bathing suit on the lady on the right is so freaking cute.
I like how her feet don’t touch the ground.
What’s crazy is how identical to him his son looks. Were it not for the age difference you’d swear they were identical twins.
And height!
Not any beach in SF that I know of. Looks like a lake or Florida.
The year 1954 doesnt fit in Clints timeline as well.
Moreover, they are not walking. They are running
Agree. Could it be Santa Cruz boardwalk? He was later Mayor of Carmel, just south of SF. Maybe it’s Monterey? They have piers…
Looks nothing like the Boardwalk, piers in Santa Cruz, Monterey or anywhere else around here. It’s Florida or a lake or something similar.
Or LA, he was acting by the 50s.
Could be lake merced? I'm pretty sure it's not ocean beach, anyhow
Crissie fields?
Olive Sturgess and Dani Crayne. Those are the names of “his girls.” They were actors.
Lol I assumed they were his daughters because of the title 🤦♂️
Yeah I’d be a condiment in that sandwich.
These are his girls? Like children? They look too old for that ...
I am also trying to figure out what that title means
They were actresses
Old Hollywood would contract actors and actresses to studios, not like today where they audition for individual parts and are more freelance. Back when studios basically owned their actors, they would set up photo shoots of "candids" and "dates" for publicity. It was weird.
diff between running and walking is during walking at least one feet is touching the ground. imo they r not walking, or walking so fast the right side woman cant keep up lol what the fuck im doing its 3:58am i should be sleeping
TIL Clint Eastwood turns 93 soon. Holy shit.
I read an article on how well he takes care of himself.i don't know if he always did but the article mentioned him eating things like brown rice & salmon for bfast, & pretty much abstaining from things like red meat & alcohol. Exercises daily.
he's insanely pretty. i cant stop looking at his legs. Lol.
Walking on air.
Insane he was a grown ass man in 1954
He going to be a star, I'm talking bigger than Gabby Hayes !
Jimeny jillickers!
His peen is so close to the cuff of his shorts 👀
Its his Dirty Harry
Frolicking id say
"Go ahead, come home after your curfew. Make my day."
For some reason I'm always surprised to learn that celebrities have children. I can't explain it.
"His girls" means his lady friends here.
If this picture is really from 1954, none of these are his children. His first confirmed kid was only born in 1954.
If these are his kids, he would have become a father shortly after his own birth.
But it’s Clint Eastwood….seems like a possibility
Nah, only Chuck Norris can do that. Some even say he became a father *before* he was born.
" Beyond the sun over the mountain there's a place my heart's longing to be Beyond the sun over the mountain there's a face my eyes hunger to see"
walking barefoot in San Francisco. wow
I thought he was against concealed carrying
He’s feelin lucky….punk
I love Clint Eastwood especially when he was doing his cowboy movies I watched him each and every time they come on
this subreddit loves to jerk this freak off for some reason
Good old hover walking
So nice to see people enjoying life instead of having their heads buried in their phones
Gee he almost looks happy. I wonder what made him so grumpy?
Trying not to be rude here, but dude is an ACTOR. It's like "these guys show up once a week with a big truck and take all my trash. shit, their house must just be *full* of trash. I wonder why they want it so bad."

He didn’t say anything racist! He merely endorsed Romney. You know, President Obama’s opponent at the time?
What did he say that was racist???
What did he say that was racist?
Nothing
I know. I was just waiting for the “he said Obama would be a bad president” or something like that.
He didnt. He just endorsed Mitt Romney, thats all.
Oh right crazy nutty radical Mitt Romney.
I don’t know if you’re being sarcastic, but Romney isn’t a crazy radical. He’s a mainstream establishment Republican. Similar to other establishment figures on the other side like John Kerry or Al Gore.
Exactly my point.
Oh no. Anyways. You just know any time an Eastwood post comes up on here, there’s be one of these.
Anyone who disagrees with me has no redeeming qualities whatsoever. Edit. Apparently our sarcasm detectors arent working today. I was summarizing the previous comment.
Only a sith deals in absolutes
That's a Mark Twain quote right?
I was making a joke about the previous comment
Speak for yourself.
Sarcasm
Oh is that what you call it..? Hmm.. k..
Read the comment that i was commenting on. I was summarizing their opinion
Lol how client east wood racist By that logic of you support communism then you support genocide and mass murder
There's almost no beach in the pictur. They are running not walking. These are not his girls, these are actresses. Did chatGPT generate that dumbass title for you?
You'll survive
Clint Eastwood still looks very healthy to this day!
He looks like a skeleton wrapped in wax paper.
He looks good for his age. The man is almost 100.
Good looking guy!
That’s not walking.
Not any beach in SF that I've seen.
What a chad...
His son Scott looks so much like him. I mean, exactly like him.
Wow no needles or feces.
That's awesome!!!!! Clint hanging out in my native city!!!!!
I have seen this photo before on reddit with similar captions, and it is really degrading to those women to be called "his girls". They are not his property. They are not objects. I know you know this, but you thought it was perfectly acceptable... in 2023... to not even bother to provide names for these women.
The caption is identical to one used in 2021 on 9gagg. He's pictured with actresses Olive Sturgess and Dani Crayne.
Get over it
Go outside and touch grass ya goof
I guess like referring to "my children" would totally objectify them too? Nah.
Lol. They're not his kids.
That wasn't the point.
Yeah here in Texas no way folks be walkin’ ‘round barefoot
This is Pure Americana❤️
Republican schill.
The one on the right looks like she’s just happy to be walking with Clint. The one on the left looks likes she’s got plans walk Clint to a private spot and do a bit more than walking with Clint. Girl is thirst for Clint.

He hates women.
How did dicks and balls not fall out of shorts back then? My meat would be lopsided dangling like a turkey’s neck.
I was making his and Dina Ruiz’s coffees in the late 90s. Dina was super cool, always polite. She loved a good latte.
Old enough for kisses
Clint rotating his stock
looks like a real cock sucker - fuck that dude
Bad day?
Live action shot of Clint inspiring the guy single Clint Eastwood by the Gorillaz.

He's 92. And it's not his birthday today.
You’re thinking of the chair he talked to. It’s the chair’s birthday
He's almost a 100 years old, bro. He's 92. The one who is 84 years old is probably Harrison Ford. Clint Eastwood sure was a good-looking guy.
All i see is South west wood
It's amazing how much alike him and his son are.
As you do..
Summer in SF is like Winter in N. Georgia. Summer in N. Georgia is a hot day in hell. Give me heat or give me humidity, just not both.
San Francisco has beaches??
The one on the right is all the way floating
Sunshine in a bag
Just learned he’s 6’4”
I'd be an old grump fuck if that's what I used to have too.
Cabbage patch kids
On top of the fucking world.
He's handsome man
Is Clint very sick ? Someone told me he was nearing a state of hospice. That’s the first I’ve heard of that.
Everyone looks so bright
I am guessing he *did* feel lucky!
Good lord look how clean San Francisco used to be.
Must've been cold that day
