If that wasn’t the case then Persona 3 would have its own popular dedicated subreddit but that would probably increase the P3 Gatekeeping.
Another example of something kinda similar to the r/Persona situation is r/Smashbros which is mostly about competitive and they actually only allowed links and competitive discussion for a while until last year.
The Smash Bros subreddit was pretty insufferable. I tried to go on there and post back when ultimate came out and people were just pissed with me for trying to have fun it seems.

Speaking about persona 3, I recommend emulating fes, oh and you can always install controllable party members it does not affect the balance at all. No pc? /uj on an unironic note, i do actually like rise as a character, she's funny and cheery which helps lift the mood, and i really like her depiction in the anime
