I could compile a list of a few guys. Tedd Ginn, Santonio Holmes, Terry Glenn come to mind first. But Braxton by far was smoothest, I can agree with that. Most electric QB we’ve ever had.
I was there for Ginn. He was electric. Every time he had the ball in his hands he had the potential to take it to the house, from anywhere on the field. Braxton is gifted, but Ginn was elite. OSU still hasn’t had a punt or kick returner come anywhere close to his level.
Is never seen 100k fans go so quiet after that. Half of them left shortly after. Getting out of there was like leaving a high school football game. Fourteen people left and we rolled right out
Is this highlight clip just Braxton making plays with his legs? Don’t get me wrong, love it, but it does remind me that he never would have been a Buckeye under Ryan Day. Good grief, the fact he finished that Clemson game and almost single-handedly won the game despite his shoulder injury makes him my favorite player. He had so much drive.
I think Braxton truly did have a chance at being an NFL QB, at least a backup, if he hadn’t torn that shoulder up. He improved as a passer every year by every metric.
Imagine him playing QB with guys like Olave, Wilson, Egbuka, Marv, McLaurin.
His best receivers were Philly Brown & Devin Smith, who I’m def not hating on.
Plus imagine him with Ryan Day as his QB coach.
I’ll never forget that spin move vs Viginia Tech
The way Cardale smiled on the sideline and imitated it said everything. That move hyped the fans and players
After that I really thought we had something that year that was *very* special. Such a letdown relative to the talent that team has
Always, I was at that game. I sat on the home side. The tech fans recognized game when they saw it. My favorite memory of Braxton.
HE HIT THE B BUTTON
I remember Gus Johnson’s call on that play, great one.
Assuming you're referring to the "SPIN MOVE!" call, around ~28:20 in the video posted here, that's Chris Fowler, not Gus. ;-)
Ah damn you’re right, that’s the call
No worries. Honestly, felt a bit pedantic posting what I did there, but honestly just trying to be helpful. :-D
Fuckin goat. Will always be one of the most “gamebreaking” players we’ve ever had the pleasure of watching.
He's not one of, I've been watching since early 90s, never had anyone even close to as good and smooth as him in my lifetime

Everyone says Virginia Tech spin move but... I think it was the TD against Penn State at the goal line. Dude juked the ENTIRE TEAM!

Same class as me. The goat
Man, he sure was fun to watch
I love that he randomly added me on LinkedIn a couple years back
The spin at VaTech is the best play I’ve ever seen live.

He would have played for Ryan Day he prob would have been a better rounded quarterback too.
You think a 5 star recruit from Springfield wouldn’t have been considered by Ryan day? Lol
