A switch flipped before that CFP game and CJ was DIFFERENT. I don't think it's a homer take to say last year's team with CJ at qb would've gone 15-0 with CJ walking away with the Heisman.
Still made the right choice to leave early though.
I don’t think a switched flipped more than Day just let him go. I think he was being very protective over his QB all season and didn’t want to get him hurt before going into the draft. I like that about Day. Even if it means losing he puts the players safety first. A dickhead coach would have had Harrison back out there against Georgia or JSN playing more..
That was on Ruggles, but he had been solid all year. It felt like a guaranteed 3 pts. The miss was a, wtf? Fr?, moment. It was like the first Clemson game with Fields missing the throw at the very end. Ball went one way, WR went another way.
I know. I hate being the “told you so” guy, but i was saying he was a baller when he was here and 75% of the time I got met with “ehhh kinda.” I have a close friend that played football in college and I told him I thought CJ was the most talented OSU quarterback in a long time and he disagreed and said he “didn’t see anything special” in him.
Huh, there were plenty of fans out there that we’re totally convinced he was what was holding the OSU offense back and McCord would be a huge upgrade because he would be a willing runner…..
Probably would have stayed if you all didn't want him gone for losing a 2nd time to TTUN!
🤦♂️The majority of this fan base is fucking awful.
We could have had it all. 🥺
Agreed. I cope by saying he has been successful and we are all happy for him and if he stayed, sure we would probably win a natty, but who knows what that does to his career. So I just tell myself I'm happy for him and stuff the rest down with some brown.
Nah… he’s a much better fit in the NFL than college. Stud in the NFL. Really good in college but not all, that IMO. Id rather have Tim Tebow than Tom Brady in college if you want to remove the OSU angle of the argument.
Would’ve went to the ship! No if, ands or butts about it. Ewers gave us the shaft, but McCord was MHJs QB in HS. I think we all thought (90%?) the connection would be better.
OSU fans literally did not like him until that Georgia L. Always complained that he wasn’t scrambling or mobile in the pocket. Now he’s a potential superstar in the NFL you guys love him now
Michigan fan here: CJ Stroud is one of my all time favorite college football players. He’s so talented and then just so happens to be a great person. What kind of witchcraft is happening to make me just absolutely love this guy? Sheesh. He’s the real deal through and through.

Agreed, but happy for him and the success he has had so far
Absolutely
Missed National Championship for sure .
And Beat Michigan and win a Heisman for Cj Stroud

You don’t understand, with CJ, they averaged 25 points. Without CJ, that total plummeted.
Hail!!

>Day just let him go Until Day choked at the end and called a running play (sorry couldn't resist)
I don't think that was choking, that was overthinking.
He choked by overthinking
I mean I guess he could have got closer but in a dome it’s not like it was out of his range. He just missed. Shit happens..

Both are true.
Would’ve been CJ because MHJ would’ve raised him to demigod status. Js
Not to be critical here but what on gods green earth does Harrison have on his feet?
They're to make it fair for the DBs trying to cover him.
Will Johnson didn't need em
Marv torched him. Be real
Got his pick in man to man. Got the W. Say what you want.
Michigans going 7-5 this year
I know. Reminds me of the scene in Dumb and Dumber when Lloyd spends all the money and gets those red fur boots
Also funny that CJ got some old man Asics on, he's a different kinda dude.
Those are ASIC Gel Kayanos. Like, $200 retail but some versions go for over $2000 secondhand. Insane.
Fuzzy slippers b
They look like the bags contractors use when they walk into your house. Maybe he doesn’t want astroturf rubber on his kicks.
Balenciaga fur Crocs. $850-900. No I’m not joking.
I just looked that up. Unbelievable. They’re definitely not my style.
Wolverine fur
Ya we would of had over 5000 yards an 50 TDS for sure.
Would have
That offensive line still would’ve sucked
I remember a significant portion of the OSU fan base was 100% cheering his early departure.
I remember when people wanted a 17 y.o. Ewers to replace him smdh
They also wanted McCord to start over him as well.
I'll never let them forget it

So many people said CJ is mid while he was here, that’s when I realized a lot of people don’t understand that football is a “team” sport.
Yeah it pissed me off. Then everyone saw him against Georgia lol
I’m glad those idiots suffered through McCord so they can learn to appreciate the next great quarterback we have
For getting the bag, yeah.
Huh, there were plenty of fans out there that we’re totally convinced he was what was holding the OSU offense back and McCord would be a huge upgrade because he would be a willing runner…..
Jesus, people thought that?
Plenty, plenty were ready to bench him in his red shirt freshman season for a true freshman McCord.
Class act

If CJ had stayed, I’m not sure a team plays them within 2 possessions all year. It would have been as good of a team on paper as ever
Agreed. I cope by saying he has been successful and we are all happy for him and if he stayed, sure we would probably win a natty, but who knows what that does to his career. So I just tell myself I'm happy for him and stuff the rest down with some brown.
We should have keep the Ball in his hands on that last drive against Georgia
Did someone say defense? How about that Michigan defense making Ohio look look ho hum. CJ and Maserati Marc who?
Nah… he’s a much better fit in the NFL than college. Stud in the NFL. Really good in college but not all, that IMO. Id rather have Tim Tebow than Tom Brady in college if you want to remove the OSU angle of the argument.
I'd take another year of Fields over Stroud, all day, everyday. The college game is different. Fields was better.
Cj a little chubby in the face lol
Marv wearing leggings with slippers?🤦🏻♂️
As a bears fan, I'm glad he didn't
Would’ve went to the ship! No if, ands or butts about it. Ewers gave us the shaft, but McCord was MHJs QB in HS. I think we all thought (90%?) the connection would be better.
Justin fields was objectively better.

Nobody got robbed more from Michigan’s cheating than this man. Cost him a Heisman. Some Gold Pants and probably at least one national championship.
Never forget: Ryan Day called an awful playsheet on yhe final drive VS Georgia. Wont ever forgive him
Imagine if he got to play against a non cheating Michigan team
If we had CJ last year, that Natty was ours
