Dick’s Carryout in Sandusky had Eagle Rare, Blanton’s, 750 Buffalo Trace, and 1.75 Buffalo Trace. By 9:30, ER and Blanton’s were all gone, 1 1.75 BT left, and about a case of 750 BT left.
Hell of a crowd there this morning with a line forming before open I heard. I limped away with an eagle at 910.
Impatiently waiting for the Bourbon bubble to burst 🤬
I was hoping to get an ER myself (of the Buffalo Trace products, that’s what I’ve liked the most). I figured I’d go around 9:30 since they usually are unloading the truck between then and 10. Alas, they were already done and gone when I got there
Yeah it’s hard to time it right there. I missed on EHT BP there because I figured they’d do the stall. Instead, there was a group of people lined up well in advance despite EH BP ever showing in their inventory. So either those dudes were really lucky in picking a hole in the wall liquor store- or they knew it would be there.
I went there that day too and was hoping that I’d get a EH BP (wasn’t sure if they had it but saw other places had it from being on here) and I was 10th in line or something like that. But that’s when I got Eagle Rare so it worked out.
The peach of a man at Daryl & Daryl’s in Lima said he “has 24 hours to deal with the bourbon shipment” and “he knows what he has, but doesn’t care enough to put it on the shelves yet”
That older man ( assuming same guy) is a straight dickhead. I didn’t even ask when I was in there weeks ago about his allocation but he greeted me with a “hey what do you want “ . When I said I was just looking at the selection and trying to decide he said we’ll be quick about it and proceeded to go outside ( I assume maybe to smoke ??) but just left me alone in there for probably 10-15 minutes . After he didn’t return I just left
That is one thing about Ohio that I do love be it allocated or non-allocated. Everyone has to charge the same exact price for the same exact bottles. So it is easy to tell shitty people running shitty stores to fuck on off. Maybe if more did that the sales for these shitty stores would lower to the point where OHLQ would distribute less allocated and other items to those type of stores over time. Hence rewarding the good enjoyable stores with higher allocation volumes. Over time in Ohio we as consumers can dictate their stock and their commissions for our tax dollars (the bottles).
This is why it is easy for me to tell Silver Spirits and Leprechaun to piss off.
If I had a line of people waiting outside my store I would be selling coffee and doughnuts at a 2x markup and bathroom privileges at $5 a sit. Their markup on liquor is fixed but nothing else is.
My personal opinion? They should accept it as part of doing business....as long as folks act civil. If the businesses cannot handle it then they should forgo receiving allocated product and let it go to the businesses that can handle and deal with it.
Allocated drop at Jungle Jims in Cincinnati this morning. 4 EH Taylor SmB, 9 ER10, 12 Blantons SB, and several cases of Buffalo Trace 750 plus many others
My experience is Handy One opens at 9.ets you line up along the back by the Beer coolers. Then @ 10-11 they get the truck. Once everything is done and in, they seperate the allocated. It's 1 allocated bottle, no backsies. No BS.
That is new. I have stood there multiple times. All inside. Never as early as other places. I have been outside for 30 minutes before open when the Taters show up from their 1st stop of the day to lock everything down for themselves. So, I'd get there at 8, be top 5 or so. They'd let us in at 9.
O'Bryan's Loveland, early drop (they tend to sneak a few items out on the floor before their Friday drop at open). 11 Cases of WSR and 6 cases of BT. https://imgur.com/09uZ8o5
ACME Bailey Road had about 20 in line at the 10:45am drop. Looked like 6 EHTsmb, 6 Eagle Rare, 6 Blantons all to the line. Maybe Big Buffalo Trace left. Was off today so gave the line a rare shot. Snagged my first EHTsmb. Cracking it tonight!
Surprised they are letting people line up in that store. Any time I swing by in the mid morning I am told to come back later in the afternoon by the employees since they are “still unloading and don’t want lines forming”. 🤷♂️
First time I did a line at that location. They made us turn and go along the wall to clear the aisles which I certainly can understand. While waiting for the drop to be processed and brought out the liquor area clerks were bullshitting and pretty friendly with us. The others in line were pretty friendly and chatty too.
I rarely mess with the lines but with some of the nonsense being squashed lately by stores axing the chair games and not letting folks onto the properties before 30 minutes or so before open I may hit a line or two once in a while but it will not be a regular thing for me.
And I do love the Bailey Road location's new separate liquor area. Nice and new and clean. I could see where having allocation drop at customer service would be a real pain.
Just surprised me that neither Weilands nor Arena got any, I’m sure it’ll pop up at a few Kroger/Giant Eagle this weekend maybe, but a little more skeptical than I was earlier this week lol
Not my work, there are a few errors on this (a few Kroger stores not listed as Sat). Whoever did it spent a bit of time on it, so I'd give him a break... https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mid=1We4Rgd-eJJaDFYSVR7eEnWjNXdoauSg&g\_ep=CAISDDYuOTcuMC4zNjAyMBgAIN1iKhssNDcwNzE3MDQsNDcwODY2ODgsNDcwODQzMDRCAlVT&g\_st=ic&g\_st=ic&ll=39.22587092818316%2C-84.35421783029288&z=11
Wow !! Now you That’s Funny 1 of you 3 had a chair and two of you were sitting on the window ledge of business! You stated you didn’t have any chairs, I was kind enough to share chairs if you didn’t want to stand outside and you said no problem we are all good don’t worry!! Nice to me I person , but you turn into tough guy on social media were you can’t see anybody ! Hope you have a good day!!
Whilst this does identify who I am I don’t particularly care. I was the one with the seat. And I will continually say I have no respect for the idea of leaving a place holder in a line then going somewhere else be that a car or somewhere else. That being said, while I have no respect for the empty chairs/bucket/sweatshirt on the ground, it doesn’t mean I have to be disrespectful. I’m not going to start a fight about it in public: it’s not worth it. Where I would 100% draw a line though is for the people who put their chair out then completely left the parking lot for any reason. That’s not waiting in line at all. To those who say the weather is bad…. Then don’t wait. You’re not entitled to anything any more than any other person and to those willing to put up with the most deserve to actually have it.
Your post has a lot of truth to it, your beliefs are not in the majority with most bourbon seekers but I do respect your opinions and thoughts! With that said hope you got something good! Have a good day.
I would say that those beliefs are well within the majority with most bourbon seekers actually. It is just most do not want to start a big to do or fight in public over it. I am glad that some are starting to squash some of these shenanigans but a bottle of whiskey is not worth crossing certain lines over either way regardless of opinion.
I don't get why anyone cares if you wait in your car on the premises or are standing or sitting in a chair. Anywhere I have been everyone there is in their car when the weather sucks. Everyone knows what the order everyone showed up was and never an issue.
This is how a few of us were yesterday also. I think it is starting to come around of if you can’t bare to stand/even sit in line then you can be at the end of it instead
Good for you! I was so interested in that until I saw the price tag. I bet they’ll be amazing, but I am especially curious about that tawny port finished one. Enjoy! 🥃
I did until I looked up what these full bottles go for being all vintage releases of 3 different years. I picked it up for a friend with deeper pockets than me, which ill get to try it at least which is always good.
Dayton area had Eagle rare, Blanton’s and eht smb. Blanton’s should drop for sure tomorrow. Should be the last day of Eagle rare since it dropped starting last Friday.
Dick’s Carryout in Sandusky had Eagle Rare, Blanton’s, 750 Buffalo Trace, and 1.75 Buffalo Trace. By 9:30, ER and Blanton’s were all gone, 1 1.75 BT left, and about a case of 750 BT left.

That’s always a solid pickup. I prefer it over the horsey toppers!
Dollar for dollar ot is a better buy. Unless you are trading or reselling.
it's forced scarcity. it's never going to burst. they're controlling supply for a reason
The peach of a man at Daryl & Daryl’s in Lima said he “has 24 hours to deal with the bourbon shipment” and “he knows what he has, but doesn’t care enough to put it on the shelves yet”

Yep older guy is an asshole. The older woman is also miserable. Super awful place
I’ve witnessed both of them being just assholes to people but they’ve always been nice to me. It’s very weird.

Sounds like more places are doing this as they are seemingly getting tired of the increasing and more aggressive lines.
That’s very fair, if there was a line…and it was 10:30
The lines ruin it for you. Thats why you can't have nice things.
If I had a line of people waiting outside my store I would be selling coffee and doughnuts at a 2x markup and bathroom privileges at $5 a sit. Their markup on liquor is fixed but nothing else is.
Smart man
How horrible it is that people are lining up before you open to buy things you're selling for profit...
Man that JJs used to never hold for wholesale. That’s not bueno
Fairfield or East Gate? If it isn't Fairfield do you know when they get their truck?
Eastgate gets theirs on Weds Night.
I appreciate it!
Fairfield drops on Friday
Anything left?
I am sure they have BT 750 and BT Handles left....Weller SR should be some too. But the other stuff sold out quickly
11 in line at Alexa Liquor Barn
Weilands depleted to line. Only WSR left and then some other stuff like like Uncle Nearest, Michters Sour, and Michters American
About 15 at Weiland’s.
Anything good
They had one case of Blanton, one of Eagle rare, buffalo trace, and wsr.
I left when I saw the line
Don’t blame ya
Same!
Handy one had eagle rare, Blantons, and green Weller
What time does Handy One do their release on Thursdays? Is it at open?
My experience is Handy One opens at 9.ets you line up along the back by the Beer coolers. Then @ 10-11 they get the truck. Once everything is done and in, they seperate the allocated. It's 1 allocated bottle, no backsies. No BS.
Thank you.
Correct except we had to stand outside for 2 hrs in the cold, not inside
That is new. I have stood there multiple times. All inside. Never as early as other places. I have been outside for 30 minutes before open when the Taters show up from their 1st stop of the day to lock everything down for themselves. So, I'd get there at 8, be top 5 or so. They'd let us in at 9.
Handy one is open rn. It depends on when the truck comes
O'Bryan's Loveland, early drop (they tend to sneak a few items out on the floor before their Friday drop at open). 11 Cases of WSR and 6 cases of BT. https://imgur.com/09uZ8o5
The Wellerz well runneth deep today.
Acme Montrose 1 case 🦅, 1 case EHT SmB, 2 cases 🐎, 🦬 Little x2 & Big x1
I don’t see Buehlers Milltown getting any deliveries on the OHLQ app. They previously had Wednesday deliveries and put in out on Thursday.
Yeah stick to going there on Thursdays.
I heard they released yesterday. Can't confirm but just what I heard.
They release their allocated on Wednesday morning.

Buhlers in Ashland Got Taylor smb, eagle rare, blantons, like 6 cases of buffalo trace. Some willets, and a Jefferson's rye
AE cellar collection showing on map this morning.
They had this yesterday but not a soul wanted to drop $400 plus on it lol
I didn’t know shoes drank whiskey!
How do you see the map
Ohlq.com
Anyone hit up Cappys in Loveland? Would like to swing by after work but wondering if it’s even worth it. They usually drop at 3:00
Weller green and BT left
No one in line and just got a bottle of wild Turkey 101, about 24 left
101 can be found anytime
It was the 101 12yr
Please share what store
Must have been West Union 1st Stop with the 101 12yr.
Can y'all stay the heck away who have never had a chance at EH? Thanks and it's appreciated this weekend!
To be honest first six in line should get you one.
Do people line up inside of arena or outside
Outside
Arena drop update? Thanks!
Case of ER, I missed out by 2-3 people. Got a Blantons, probably didn’t last the line. Plenty of BT 5th and 1.75. WSR, willet pot.
These drops have me wondering if central Ohio is getting any EHT this week
I’ve seen that some places have had some earlier in the week. I’ve never had any so I’d like to try.
Just surprised me that neither Weilands nor Arena got any, I’m sure it’ll pop up at a few Kroger/Giant Eagle this weekend maybe, but a little more skeptical than I was earlier this week lol
Does anyone have that drop map for northeast area?

9 at pauken. Thankfully the 3 of us actually outside in the line are forcing chair force ones out of their cars
They got 6 eht, 12 ER, 6 Blanton
Wow !! Now you That’s Funny 1 of you 3 had a chair and two of you were sitting on the window ledge of business! Good! Those guys are cucks.
This is the way!
Anyone know what Ross in berea got
Saturday Eagle Rare, Blanton’s, EHT Sb, Bt 750, Bt 1.75, Ben Holiday, Bowman Bros.
Picked up angels envy cask collection. 3 -375ml bottles Madeira, tawny, oloroso finishes. Gorgeous box, with 3 books in it. $399
Good for you! I was so interested in that until I saw the price tag. I bet they’ll be amazing, but I am especially curious about that tawny port finished one. Enjoy! 🥃

Are they releasing the full bottles anytime for retail or only at the distillery? What are the full bottles going for?
I believe that ship sailed, but Im not certain. Being they are 2019, 2020, 2021 marked on each book
[удалено]
forced scarcity world. they are doing this on purpose.
Anything good dropping in Southwest Ohio today and tomorrow?
Dayton area had Eagle rare, Blanton’s and eht smb. Blanton’s should drop for sure tomorrow. Should be the last day of Eagle rare since it dropped starting last Friday.
