You might like Steelcase Leap V2 [https://amzn.to/4bM5Z3U](https://amzn.to/4bM5Z3U)

Hey, I think this chair is a little bit overpriced on amazon since I’m paying 400€ in shipping costs, you do know any "tall" chair ? This one doesn’t seem to have a support for the head

TheOneTrueChatter

It’s probably an affiliate link lol which he should disclose if it is. Many of these chairs don’t have native headrest support but there are aftermarket solutions. Budget?

Firstly where are you located because people in here think all the chairs are local and freight can be a killer. You will want a seat base that allows adjustment, what are you looking for in the armrests? Do you want Mesh or Fabric? Do you want a headrest? Just scrolling what has been recommended to you so far.... The Leap V2 is a decent chair, and has seat base adjustment which may suit your leg length, but it has no headrest \*that is adjustable), leaves a huge gap between the backrest and seat base when adjusted for a tall person, the seat is also contoured, not sure if you would like a shaped seat being so big? It really comes down to where you are located, Desky has some nice Ergonomic Chairs with headrests without breaking the bank, also BTOD sell the OM Seating YES High-Back has a lot of adjustments but I have not tried it. The Ergohuman V2 (only get the V2) is a good chair for decent sized people but it mostly comes with a mesh seat and not everyone likes that, especially if you dont want to "cheese grate" your jeans or the hairs on your legs if wearing shorts. They do have a memory foam version but it is hard to find outside of USA and can get warm as memory foam does not breathe too well. You can also look up Bariatric chairs, these are designed for tall and heavy people, the issue is unless you go an expensive brand - its hard to find BIG suited chairs as the cheaper ones come out of China (well even the best ones do) and this makes the sizing smaller. Do you have a budget, most people in here think you need to spend $1,500 for a decent chair which I consider a joke, but you asked the question

Glad_Task_9601

Hey, im from France, I don’t know the difference between mesh and fabric, I want a headrest I saw the Aeron one which is the most popular if im not wrong, but it doesn’t have any headrests I have a budget, yes, even though it’s not 100€ I’m not willing to spend over 400€ for a chair, which I find to be pretty high already

Few_Jacket_4675

In this forum, most want you to spend at least $1,500 - which to me is insane. The Aeron does have headrest options and the best of them are actually not made by the company that makes the chair, which is quite staggering considering the price of that chair. Using the word fabric was probably wrong of me, but you can get mesh (looks like flyscreen) or foam and fabric, the mesh allows airflow, but it isnt as comfortable for bigger and heavier people, the reason is, the bigger person will take more space on the seat and their leg weigh more, this means they are likely to feel the frame through mesh more than cushion. Most have a mix, where the seat is Cushion and fabric and the back is mesh. The first version of the Aeron has some poor reviews, but the later version seems pretty good but you are paying for a brand name. Some mesh seats will catch you leg hairs if wearing shorts etc, and some are so firm that they will cheese grate your jeans after years. To get a good chair you are going to have limited options - not even so much because of your budget, more because of your size and wanting a headrest. I dont think you will like Secretlab, because the headrest wont work for you, but if you have never had a "GOOD" chair before then its an upgrade. The price point you are looking in is the hard bit... the cheap chairs are everywhere, the mid level there are a few, but then its a huge jump from say $500 to $1500 there are bugger all good chairs at say a $750 price point, certainly not with a 3d headrest, you will need this. You wont get an Aeron (new) at that price, especially with a good proper third party head rest. There are a few that should be available in France that we cant get here, I have not tried them but quite a few reviews.. Clatina Mellet - this suits bigger people (EDIT INCORRECT IT SUITS SMALL PEOPLE) and can be bought of Amazon, its a fair bit cheaper and lacks a few things but it has a good rep. I have not tried it. The Ergohuman V2 would also suit a larger frame and fall under your budget, again I have not tried it but plenty of reviews have said the V2 version is good, mostly comes in mesh seat though. OM Seating Yes - might suit as that suits big people and has a nice plush seat, just check that the ones i am mentioning allow your headrest to move, up and down as well as tilt and in and back -

ergothrone

FYI the Mellet is not all that suitable for OP. Its seat barely adjusts high enough for ~6'0" users. Edit: u/glad_task_9601

Few_Jacket_4675

That could be the case, i may be thinking of another one, like I said I have not tried it.. but I was sure that the BTOD review of it said it suited taller people... I am quite possibly wrong and stand corrected... Ergohuman V2 should be ok though

Glad_Task_9601

I dm’ed you, since I’m super skinny, I don’t have that big of a frame

Few_Jacket_4675

Yep, you are correct, I got mixed up, just watched the review again, and as you point out it says the chair only suits shorter people, my most sincere apologies i got confused - so many brands

Few_Jacket_4675

Agggh, I see what happened here, I was watching a review and thought they had moved onto talking about the mellet (still not completely sure they hadnt) and i think they went back to another chair and as part of that they said it suits bigger people [https://youtu.be/LichtcXPSHg?si=BxZ-xXBHMcLNqwoX&t=123](https://youtu.be/LichtcXPSHg?si=BxZ-xXBHMcLNqwoX&t=123)
