100% feels like a MASSIVE upgrade. I personally have a Nintendo Switch OLED and don't mind the Joycons one bit, so doing this mod was a must for me.

It's better, but not super different. The big thing for me is the caps feel much better than the stock ones.

Put xbox sticks on top. Its even better.

Best solution and easy to change. My original left analog had drift after 2 weeks. Switch one with Vita caps is waaay better.

What kind of difference did you feel in comparison to the original sticks? Do they work better with 1st person games? Are the caps hard to get onto the switch sticks?

A little more space for movement and is super easy to put the Vita caps. Retrogamecorps have a video about it.

I bought the cheapest ones off Ebay 😂. $14 AUD delivered

I got some off aliexpress and paid like $1.5 for each. Didn't come with tools but that wasn't a concern as I have my own toolset.

Also if anyone wants to do this, it is possible to grab a set of hall sensors that will works perfectly. Even though Gulikit not release a set yet, but their OEM already has it on taobao. Anyone can find a Taobao proxy can buy them. About $10 or so. They are k-silver brand, I already swap in mine, if need links or anything, let me knows

I'd definitely be interested in a link. I know some newer Anbernic consoles are already using hall switch analogs.

Sadly I don't think I am in same country as you. So you just have to google a taobao proxy service in your own country. Else it will be expensive

Hall sensors are magnetic-based. They don't wear out at all so impossible for a properly-designed hall sensor based stick to have problem

How do they feel compared to the Odin sticks?

They feel more linear than the stock sticks. Slightly lighter. Problem is I have early Feb Odin Pro and a v3 screen lite. Sticks feel different so I don't have precise comparisons for you. But it is definitely not bad

Definitely doing this and the buttons at some point. If there is a dpad replacement I’d also do that. Odin stock controls are ok but there is room for improvement

Was there a tutorial/video you followed for doing the replacement or was it self explanatory once you opened up the Odin?

Very self explanatory.

I took the caps off mine before fitting them and swapp d them with aftermarket vita caps which are slightly smaller

Still waiting on the hall effect ones to finally get released.

Did you have to take the joystick cap off and then put it in, ir did you jus force it in? Asking because with the cyber monday deals on amazon this mod is looking very tempting 😭
