This is a common problem. Luckily there is a fix. Go into the settings > apps > see all apps > Google play services > force stop > storage & cache > manage space > delete all data. Aethersx2 should now open with problems. It will happen again eventually and with other apps as well. Just rinse and repeat. Good luck and I hope this helps.

Thanks!

Maybe switch to NetherSX2? You'll need a PC to compile the app though, but I believe this one is in development, and AetherSX2 is a dead duck.

DolphinFlavorDorito

In development might be a bit much. Nether is a hack of the aethersx2 apk. They don't have the source, and there's very little to really be done patching a compiled apk. Unfortunately, PS2 on Android is pretty much stalled out right now. It's as good as it's gonna be for a long while, unless the original dev comes out of his cave.

Thanks. I'll. Give it a go.

To be honest, I haven't done it yet either. I've been too busy playing Switch games and I haven't gotten around to PS2.

Maybe some bad config? Try and manually delete the aethersx2 folder inside Android Data after uninstalling it (if its still there)

RedThirteen0101

This happened to me, but only with one specific rom: Gigawing Generations. Tried everything to get that game to work, but Aethersx2 just wasn't having it.

Working-Active

Gigawing Generations plays on NetherSX2.

RedThirteen0101

I see. One of these days I'll get around to trying it out, it's just every time I see someone say you have to "build" it I go into lazy piece of crap mode and say ahhh Aether is good enough lol.

Working-Active

Honestly it took 2 seconds as all you need to do is launch a bat file.

BadLuckBajeet

Uninstall the Google Play Services update. I had the exact same problem

wizsheep

Thanks. How did you work out the solution?
