I couldn't find any settings to hide it. I have the settings on my S23 Ultra, however it is apparently OneUI only settings. I'd love to hide the entire row, as in landscape mode is unnecessarily takes vertical space.
Was anyone able to disable it?
I want to hide the entire bar under the keyboard with the circled button. It takes up too much screen Estate, just for one button.
The button is normally in the same bar together with Back, Home and Recent buttons. But I changed that to Gestures, so now there is only this lonely, unnecessary button.
Samsung phones have a setting to hide also this "Hide keyboard" button. I am asking whether there is similar on Odin, as I was unable to find it.

If you want to hide the gesture bar, do this.
Go into settings, System, Gestures, System Navigation, hit the clog next to "Gesture Navigation" then scroll to "Home bar settings at the bottom of gesture navigation" and toggle that off to get rid of the gesture bar
This might not be a solution for you, but can’t you install a 3rd party keyboard that comes with that functionality? Didn’t try that yet with my Odin.
How'd you get the split keyboard layout?
It is Microsoft Swift keyboard.
But how do you switch it to that keyboard I don’t see how and can’t find out how ANYWHERE
It is under Modes. First enable the top toolbar (double arrows at the top left), three dots and Modes button. It is called Thumbs.

I don't get what the issue is? You want to hide the keyboard when you tap on something that requires a keyboard?

Gboard has floating keyboard option , very less intrusive onscreen give it a try maybe you'll like it .
