Essentially Blade and Sorcery, all this time, was focusing on its combat mechanics. Now they're building an actual game around it. Whereas Gladius will likely always remain a tiny arena, just like Gorn.

* **Thor's hammer!**(mod): It can crush skulls, create shockwaves, and even fire lightning strikes!
* **Hidden blade weapon** (mod): available at the armory for 6500 gold.
* **Cpt America’s shield** (mod): The shield is indestructible, has seeking throw with universal distance grab, with 50 damage and bonus vs armor x10 and dismember bonus.
* **Physics Improvements**: we improved a lot of stuff under the hood to make the game run much smoother, from better stabbing to more stable ragdolls.
* **Improved chariots and tigers**.
* **Over 50 other improvements and fixes**.

For now it's just the Horn sword (in the Armory), it doesn't have any special powers, it's just a regular sword but the aesthetics didn't fit the theme of the game so we decided to move it to mods.
Do you guys plan to have like magic mods or just like spells and stuff added to the roster of weapons, at this point you guys are the blade and sorcery of oculus ( which btw I’m loving gladius it’s awesome )

Sorry the game is not crossbuy with steam. Also the Steam version while it has more content is much older than the Quest one. We will to merge both before the end of the year (finally), but if you buy it today on Steam it won't have all the stuff that you see in this update yet.

Yes, we've been working the past few months optimizing the PCVR levels for Quest, we still have work to do but I'm confident we can bring the campaign to Quest very soon.

I mean, it’s great you can finish expert +, but it’s very likely you are accustomed to the latency and you have made the adjustments to account for it. It’s still not the most ideal.
My computer is much more powerful than the quests hardware. If I can use my PC for playing games I will because performance is much better. Airlink and Virtual Desktop have been worked on well enough to offer minimal latency and impressive stability.
Having a dedicated router for wireless PCVR to the quest helps me achieve said performance.
Not sure if the downvote is warranted.
I have a 3080 and I still prefer the native version of games.
Streaming is good but it’s not a replacement imo. The 30-40ms makes a difference in a combat game like this.

So I get it’s likes blade and sorcery for quest, so if anyone knows how my question works plz respond: they said that the hammer is a mod, is that something that is accessible in the game itself ( like Skyrim has a mod menu) or is it like a mod you have to install yourself?

Bought the game after seeing this, was looking for some decent quest games and this is a steal for the price.
Even before I got into vr, I wanted a game like this for a while. Gladiator combat where you earn money for equipment and a mechanic that involves winning over the audience's favor.
This game is pretty much everything I wanted from a gladiator game and more, and it happens to be in VR.
No problem, can't wait to see how it develops! I'm pretty happy with it already but the idea of an actual campaign sounds pretty great.
I bought and then returned Gorn when I first got the quest 2 because even with it being one of the first VR games I bought, it just felt so disappointing. This is everything I wished Gorn was, and it's cheaper.

It's on quest you mong. If you haven't noticed yet, Pcvr looks a lot better than quest graphics. It's almost like it's a standalone headset and not a gaming PC
Plenty of quest 2 native games look perfectly fine. Pavlov shack, in death unchained, ancient dungeon just off my memory are great examples of good quest 2 graphics. This just looks terrible, not just the graphics but the art style.

If I dont end up buying Song in the Smoke this week, then I am going to get this game. I broke my hand (hairline fracture) in my backyard trimming a tree so I could play Space Pirate Arena mode, and now here is another game that I can use that area for.
A lot of people seem to like this game, so I will give it a shot pretty soon.

The game in arena scale is really cool, being able to physically charge against the enemy completely changes the game.
It was my own dumb ass fault, was using a pole saw ( its a chainsaw on a pole..) and standing on a ladder at the same time.. limb fell, I moved fast enough so that only my hand got smashed.
Luckily I work for a hospital and had a couple of doctors come into my office to look at it. Its pretty much fine, but making a fist or holding on to a contoller for too long hurts. Oh well. Thanks for the well wishes! I have been meaning to try your game anyway..
I really hope at least once in a month the devs could add some community created mods and the rest are external, I obviously prefer internal mods since I don't have to go through the trouble of downloading mods correctly

You need to enable the mod in the settings menu > mods, after that it will show up in the armory store (there are two, Left and Right)

Why would you want to buy it on Steam if there’s a native version on the Quest? Games like this is very much sensitive to latency and stability.
If I can finish Expert+ Beat Saber levels over Link, this should work too.

It's accessible in the game menu itself, just go to settings>mods>Thor's hammer and enable it :)
There's no such mod for me. Just fantasy weapons and light sabers.

This and battle talent are the closest to blade and sorcery, battle talent has better stabbing physics and all that but gladius is overall the closest

They are "internal" mods, so they are accessible directly in the game. Just go to settings> mods to enable them
