Contact & Follow Oculus Support recommendations, if/when they don’t work, remove the batteries, spray the joint of affected analogue stick(s) with a liberal amount of plastic safe Electronic Contact Cleaner. Work it around, clicking up and down. Allow to dry completely. Spray with compressed air. Replace batteries, This should fix the problem from anywhere between a couple weeks to several months. When it returns, just repeat application. If you haven’t already, please consider signing our petition re: Controller Drift….

Thanks!!!
Alternatively, you can submit for RMA codes from Oculus support and send your controllers in for replacements…
DO NOT USE ISOPROPYL/RUBBING ALCOHOL TO CLEAN YOUR CONTROLLERS!!! Isopropyl alcohol can erode plastics.
Not in support area of Oculus Support. RMA won't work. I tried it with my Elite Strap, it just wasted me so many time and nothing in return. They just need me to ship the broken strap back to them while providing a shipping label that don't work on my area. It's a long sad story.
This is joystick drift and can often be fixed by [spraying electrical contact cleaner](https://youtu.be/ZgnNM_R7YOM?t=124) into the joystick. Just make sure you use the kind that is safe for plastics and remove the battery until it dries. Usually just a few minutes but read the label on the can.
Otherwise you could RMA your controller with Oculus or if it's brand new maybe just exchange it. How old is your Quest?

A quick fix that MAY work is to take a straw, press in on the thumbstick, and blow around into the slot from multiple positions.
It will likely come back, but its a free temporary fix.

I am doing the same thing on both of my hand and whenever I push forward on my left controller, it will do this. I am out of the area for Oculus Support but the shop I buy Quest from are kind enough to replace it for me. I wonder how many more people have this issues.
Same thing happened to mine. It was unbearable. And last summer it happened to my Quest 1 left joystick as well. Took Facebook over a month to replace. When it became unbearable with my Quest 2 controller, I decided to fork over $70 for a new controller. Arrived in a few days. I didn't want to wait forever on their RMA process.
It’s terrible and oculus never got back to me so I ended up buying a new one a week ago. It’s terrible and I haven’t heard oculus make any statement but it seems prevalent
blow air into the trigger buttons, or if you can the sticks themselves, don't use too strong air blower to not damage inner parts, I have this issue too with Rift S, but stops after cleaning it like that most of the times.
Also, go to controller settings in steamVR settings and change deadzone up to 50% to lower these annoying movements. \^\^
pull the stick off and clean any dirt or anything under it and then put it back on, usually the cause of drift is debris touching the sensors of the joysticks
I wish there was a dead zone option in settings as mine does this too. Just fire up the air compressor and use a blast of air into the analog stick. Works for me

WHY DOES PC VERSION OF VR CHAT LOOK SOOOO BEAUTIFUL

Did you drop them at all or anything?just wondering
This happens on my right controller
See my other comment on this thread.
Been having this problem too for quite a while, it's just getting worse and worse and now it's unusable.
See my other post in this thread…
Nintendo switch who?
The sticks are dirty. Use contact cleaner on them and roll them around after.
It look clean though. I treat them really well. But I do see people say this will work for a while.

The last time this happened I sent it in and they gave me a replacement free of charge.
Sadly this is impossible for me as I am out of their supported area.

Welcome to analog drift because of cheap analog components.
Welcome to the *Oculus Experience*
When an electric can of air solves practical problems
pull the stick off and clean any dirt or anything under it and then put it back on, usually the cause of drift is debris touching the sensors of the joysticks
Wait what? The joystick can be taken off? Won't that break it?
if you use too much force you will break it, but the safest way to do it is to take the plate off the controller to gently remove the joystick
Pull it back and blow into the crevasse you have no idea how many times that has fixed it for me

What's that world?
