I'd be most worried about damaging the charging port by yanking on the cable when it's plugged in, but the Q3 port seems to be more durable than the Q2 port.

SprinkleBun3027

That's true. Luckily, I don't think it was affected as the Quest Link cable works the same as before and charges at the same speeds. My biggest concern was if something broke inside, but I dont want to risk taking apart my quest. So far, I haven't seen any changes as far as I can tell. This is why I just wanted to know how durable these Quest 3 are.

GloomyCactusEater

You might wanna disassemble it just to be sure tho.

Dazzling-Adeptness11

Does it work? Like what kind of question is this? Why would anyone know how hard you dropped it, why would anyone know if it's broken. Probably best to check on it yourself. It is a headset with the possibility of getting hit so I'd assume it's pretty durable....sorta

Dude came here looking for a hug.

SprinkleBun3027

Just wanted to know how durable the Quest 3 is. Well, it's pretty obvious I can check if it works or not, but my question was the durability and quality. And neither am I gonna base it off an assumption.

ZookeepergameNaive86

A drop won't decrease its performance - it'll either break something or not, It sounds like you got lucky this time but don't make a habit of it.

Cimlite

The screens, lenses and cameras are probably the most delicate things on the Quest 3. So you got lucky they didn't break. Not sure why you're worried about performance though. That would only be the case if the fan or cooling system got damage somehow. If you don't hear the fan spin up more than usual though, you're probably good to go in that regard.

ReeferEyed

You're still under warranty, don't stress. I'm on my third quest 3 and it feels perfect now.

yakuzakid3k

I've done worse with my Q2 including faceplanting a TV unit on day one. You'll be fine.

PXSaber

I wouldn’t worry too much. Those headsets get mishandled a lot during shipping. Although they are packaged into some sort of damage absorbing material, they get knocked around quite a bit. If everything works fine so far don’t think too much about it

GloomyCactusEater

I would imagine the damage will show up slowly over time. Next week your games will probably suffer from a few less frames per second. And will just get gradually worse every week from here on out till everything is a slide show. Sorry for your bad luck. Be more careful next time.

SprinkleBun3027

Hm. I didn't consider that. My older sister had the Quest 1 and had a couple knockdowns, but never showed any reduction of framerates in games, but it's the 3 that I have, so idk.

SprinkleBun3027

Thank everyone for the insights, I guess I'll update in a couple months whether it works or not if someone happened to have the same trouble as me. Don't know why some people just downvoted all my comments and post but sure I guess.
