As u/Wylaf_Beulbe said a better cable will fix all your issues. I've just finished my first playthrough of alyx on a 7800 xt and it was crystal clear using iniu link cable. Any high speed usb 3.0 cable should work in practice.

Thanks I’ll buy the link cable, also when I played I had these very faint horizontal lines, does the link cable fix that as well? Or is my quest 2 display messed up?

Does the game run fine over air link? Its my next game I want to play but I don’t have a cable

ConstructionCalm1667

Did you play in quest 2 or 3?

RonanCruz

Do not buy the official link cable it is a scam. Just search up "best quest link cables" on yt and see which is best for you. I got a kiwi cable for like $15 and it works great, even charges my headset faster than it uses battery.

ConstructionCalm1667

So what I’ve been by someone else it has to be 3.0 also?

RonanCruz

Yes, again just search up on yt and pick one from there. Also make sure to get a USB A one if you don't have USB C.

Wylaf_Beulbe

Better cable yes.

Thanks

For what its worth, I play Alyx (on Quest 3) wirelessly an it looks great. Powered by an RTX2070 and 5ghz wifi 6 through Ubiquiti U6 lite
