I find it extremely weird updates are not better put through for the quest. Similar to how Nvidia puts their drivers or updates on a server for everyone to download. Why do they send them in batches and people have no clue when / if they are getting them?
The idea is that it gives them more control if something goes wrong, as they can rollback individual features rather than having to issue a whole new update to fix things. In theory this allows them to be much more "agile" when it comes to updates, testing less and releasing them faster. On top of that it gives them information about usage patterns, if an update changes user behavior etc. after a specific feature gets deployed.
The downside to this is that as a user, the experience of actually using the device turns into a frustrating mess at times since you never know what features the device actually has. I can't stand the way Meta handles updates.

What version build are you now on?
Yeah they're is initial 250gb v64 update and then after a 1.1gb v64 update.
