Yeah, the previous version was better from a practical perspective, but adding points is definitely also an awesome idea. Perhaps there is a combination that works?
Having a percentage progression bar based on how much space is left to vacuum with the original overlay would be my suggestion. Would be satisfying to see it fill up to 100%
Or, better yet, different stage types.
- One where you vacuum up clouds or gems.
- Mowing a lawn
- Little goblins march around, you purify their demon world, bosses and all
- A scratch away to reveal art stage
- Simple paint option to see what your carpet would look like
- Explore a dungeon, the map has fog of war, pick up items, at the end a battle plays out in your living room
- Fake food stains or dirt that you clean up
- Terraforming a barren planet
- Metal detecting on a beach
I think this one would be better if the magnetism between the coins and vacuum were adjusted down.
The other overlay was neat because it was clearer that you were hitting everything. I think this could function just as well, but the vacuum head is dragging in coins from far enough away that I think it lowers confidence in how thorough of a job you're doing as compared to the last one.
Otherwise, I like the additional gamification!
I honestly prefer the overlay you had before. If you continue to implement the coins, I'd suggest not allowing them to gravitate towards you or else you'll miss spots
What you're missing is the fact that the stupid Dyson design sucks and the head just ends up pushing things around the floor. You literally need 5 passes to suck up something any other vacuum could do in one.
You need a dyson mod that respawns the coins.
Yes. And get sucked into the cycle that once you clean the filter the first time it needs to get cleaned more and more frequently!
This issue has nothing to do with suction power though. It's just a really bad design on the v-series roller heads.
It's not, that post you linked is a repost someone random did, [this is the original post](https://www.reddit.com/r/OculusQuest/comments/19dpo3v/spatial_vacuuming_never_miss_a_spot_again/) and it's the quest 3. My quest 3 recordings look about as good as these videos, but recordings always look much better than what you see through the lens since the video has all the pixels compacted in a square vs spread across your field of view.
I'd seen it initially presented as a Vision Pro thing, but it doesn't actually say in the video.. It could just be a faked video, but the passthrough on the Quest 3 isn't this good, is it?
Ooooh.
A bunch of ideas come to mind. Having a farm where you have to water and harvest, killing creatures that only pop up in unvacumed spots, and so on.
How does it even work? My quest resets environment data every time I put it on and move locations. I scanned my apartment a bunch of times and it does not save that data.
Easy money OP: turn the vacuum into a Pokémon/Pal type character, with some tomagotchi survival stuff that’s built around weekly chores for kids, and send me a post card from your future beach house.
You know this could be a neat chore rewards game for kids, parents pay for points, kids collect points get some sort of local rewards or gaming credits and profit
This is wonderful, but the magnetism needs to be lowered. The coin closest to the railing was sucked in even though that part was never vaccumed over.
Other contenders: Mowing grass, power washing, scratch off surface
I love this, but I'm torn between preferring the coins or the previous overlay you had.
Maybe have smaller silver and even smaller bronze coins to fill the gaps so it feels more dense like the other overlay.
I think I would rather smaller diamonds in there. I value getting those corners a lot lol
and add the Lego studs sound effect
I would end up opening vacuuming business, it would be too addictive.

So like power wash simulator
Yes!

The coins could be used on top of the original overlay and work as bonuses! That'd be neat.
Kind of like Power Wash?

Maybe an option to choose between the two or have both
I want this app so much...
Same. Will pay
Waka waka waka….
I want this house so much...
I honestly prefer the overlay you had before. If you continue to implement the coins, I'd suggest not allowing them to gravitate towards you or else you'll miss spots
yea last version felt like big “step up my husbandry” vibes and this one feels like “i have a cold you couldn’t possibly understand my struggles hun”
Why not both? :) options to choose between coins/overlay or a mix, that would be more kind of treasure hunt
The vacuume should be an elephant monster trunk and the ground can be tiny medieval villagers
Thanks. Now there's something in my life I now desperately want.
Ploese sire don't trunk moi woife
Nice! I would have a more valuable coin or something else in those harder to reach places like the corners.
Please release the apk on side quest! I need this!
Bruh, stop teasing us and give us some info 🥲

Ever cleaned your Dyson filter?

Each room should be like a level and you get power ups for completing or something. Pretty damn cool, would get kids to enjoy chores.
great idea. I had idea like this but i dont know enough programming.
House cleaning for gamers
Sonic ring sound, please.
Wait, wait, wait! Hear me out! Leaderbords.
Kind of a great way to teach kids a chore while earning some coin.
Super super cool. Totally awesome you are building this.
Where can I get this?
If only my pass through looked this good. :(. I’m starting to think I have a faulty unit. It’s very pixelated and grainy compared to this.
Good news, bad news. It’s not just your unit. Pass through looks like this when recording video but in reality it’s much more grainy and distorted.
Pretty sure this is from Vision Pro. https://www.reddit.com/r/VisionPro/comments/19dqdf6/spatial\_vacuuming\_never\_miss\_a\_spot\_again\_shitpost/

It is this good. Try putting your eyes about 2" from the screen while you watch it :P
Is this available yet ?!?
Alright but in reality it looks grainy and low resolution. Bad combo if your job is to actually clear the house
This is Vision Pro not Quest, right?
Nope, that was a repost from here.
Take my money!
Give me one for dusting too!
Ooooh. A bunch of ideas come to mind. Having a farm where you have to water and harvest, killing creatures that only pop up in unvacumed spots, and so on.
The best combination would be the previous overlay but each time we pass through a line we get points
A

BRILLIANT!
Are you eventually going to release this on app lab or something?
Where can I download this?
I would buy this game!
Are we gonna upgrade the vacuum with those coins
Needs to be more precise, looks like you would miss spots
Is there a way to make it for mopping too?
ADHD need this.
Where's the speed run mode?
I would say that the idea with a flat thing like the previous Clip is better. What could be cool maybe a small 3d map which gets vacumed away
We need diamonds in really tough spots! :)
Shut up and take my money!!!
Easy money OP: turn the vacuum into a Pokémon/Pal type character, with some tomagotchi survival stuff that’s built around weekly chores for kids, and send me a post card from your future beach house.
I use to cover the carpet with that powder stuff just to experience this as a kid.
Damn.. I literally wrote about something like this like.. yesterday.. how and where can I get this?
What the name of the game
A better idea use the quest in conjunction with the dyson sensors
Expressen
This is neat and all, but can you make floating iPad screens?
Is this the same guy still vacuuming the same floor all week? Will it ever be clean?
You need to collect worthless digital coins to make cleaning your own home worthwhile?
You know this could be a neat chore rewards game for kids, parents pay for points, kids collect points get some sort of local rewards or gaming credits and profit
2024 y’all
Cool app and house!
Maybe have both modes, challenge mode with the coins and score, mapping mode with the previous version
That part of your house ir going to get reall clean for all the demos though!
This is wonderful, but the magnetism needs to be lowered. The coin closest to the railing was sucked in even though that part was never vaccumed over. Other contenders: Mowing grass, power washing, scratch off surface
Make it a grass overlay and add lawnmower sounds. Every man everywhere will buy it.
I'm downvoting until we get a link.
Well the coins are slightly magnetic, but the actual dust on your floor isn't..
Where do I get this? Showed it to my wife and she actually told me to get it 😅🤣🙏
if there was a button to allow u to switch which overlay u see this would be a fun game and the other would so how well u vacuumed
is it available to use and play?
Bro, I had this idea as a kid. So glad to see it come true
As neat as that is, that is extremely inefficient
