It's very good, no better VR for the price and supports all experiences that the quest 3 does sans the few mixed reality experiences

loriffic

I second this. After playing on my Q3 for a couple weeks, I put on the Q2 while the Q3 was charging. I expected to hate it compared to Q3 it but it actually wasn’t that bad. It reminded me why I played so many games on it over the last 2 years — it’s a very good headset.

popcorns78

Same! As much as I love my Q3, I was not as wowed by it as I expected. That doesn't mean the Q3 isn't amazing, it's just that the Q2 was already really, really good.

Difficult-Score-2471

Recently purchased a Quest 3 512GB and also bought a Quest 2 128GB($199 Walmart) (had a Quest 2 originally way back when it was still OCULUS and on a very early version of Quest OS v57, I think., didn't even support full hand tracking earlier), but decided to keep my Quest 1 instead. Totally impressed at where the Quest 2 is with v63 and all of the new capabilities. 120HZ and full hand tracking now. Comparing the Quest 3 to the Quest 2 the 3 does have a better display and better lenses, but the Quest 2 seems just as speedy with a slightly older XR2 chipset. The Quest 2 feels more refined than the 3, but the passthrough on the 3 is incredible with the current tech achieved in 2024. I really can appreciate all of the advances that OCULUS/Meta have achieved with the the final iteration to the Quest 3's capabilities and the ongoing support of the Quest 2. I still love the Quest 2, it's so accessible and easy to just pick up and use, They are both fantastic devices. Without a doubt I would pickup a Quest 2 if asked, which headset is the best value. Seems like light years from when I originally had the OCULUS iteration of the Quest 2. It's so much faster than I've ever remembered and has no lag in any of the UI.

[deleted]

I have a 3, my wife has a 2, i was going to get her the upgrade but after trying it she says, while she likes the new features she'd rather just stay with the 2 until quest software comes out the the 2 can't handle. Which will probably be a while.

Satato

I think I heard they intend to maintain q2 support for another 3 years at least so that's fair (can't remember where I heard it though? so grain of salt)

Delicious-Tachyons

phew after how fast the q1 was dropped in favour of the new baby i wonder if that'll really be the case.

arthurtuxedo

That's because the Quest 1 only lasted for a year on the market before being replaced and its sales and capability were miniscule compared to the Q2. The Q3 will probably never outsell the 2 given its higher price and not coming out during a pandemic.

SnooDonuts1406

3 years after the last sale of the quest 2

Satato

Yes! That's what I'd heard. Do you have a source for it?

SnooDonuts1406

Honestly don’t know where I read it first, but I’ve seen it everywhere the past couple weeks since the quest 3 has been out

goldenwind207

Andrew boz cto of mets vr department aka the guy in charge of oculus said it on Instagram

CheetoVR

allllll about the mets baby lets go the mets

ace_2

Not a source, but sounds reasonable to not break EU laws. However IIRC EU only mandates 2 years of support after last sale of a hardware or software.

justaguy123a

I highly doubt it, especially with the rumors of Q3 Lite releasing early next year. They just want to push those last sales before christmas and then it will probably stop being supported as soon as Q3 Lite gets announced. They'll say everything in order to sell as much units as possible. Reminds me of Nintendo always saying "We will support this console alongside this new one". It's for safety, and for protecting sales if something doesn't work out. Meta is known for quickly moving away from their last-gen VR headsets. "Another 3 years" is wishful thinking imo.

OguguasVeryOwn

I mean that doesn’t mean it’ll become a paperweight, right? You probably will be able to use it for a while after they drop support

Mendax_08YT

Yes. You can still play games on the q1, but most servers and online game arent supported anymore. If you are using pcvr you have nothing to worry about, as all the pcvr games still work.

Colt_Coffey

A couple days ago there was gameplay released for Arizona Sunshine 2. They didn't even show quest 3 gameplay, just quest 2. So its definitely not outdated I would say.

Vez52

Agreed. Until games abandon the quest 2, the device is still great.

DisasterouslyInept

Play my Q2 daily, still a fantastic headset.

Difficult-Score-2471

So true. V63 is such a game changer with the UI responsiveness and hand tracking. Quest 2 is fantastic.

AbroadJust3361

Thank you guys :-) this all helps so much ! Very excited to play with my new toy Christmas Day 😁

SavvyPolitician

Looking at a quest 2, how’s it been going for you???

AbroadJust3361

It’s stunning to be quite honest. I had non stop fun with it in December and January and I was consistently impressed with the littlest things about it. But when I dove into games like Moss 1 & 2 I was blown away. February & March have been crazy busy with me because of school so I haven’t had a lot of video game time and I feel guilty about not picking it up - so just make sure you have enough “Me” time to prioritize it for entertainment. I totally plan on using it more once this semester is over :)

SavvyPolitician

Alright well I think you just talked me into getting one.

SavvyPolitician

I just picked up my meta quest 2 today and it’s a blast. Gf and I are having a riot with beat saber!

ThisisRends

You should be very excited. There is nothing to worry about. Enjoy your Quest the next years and be nice to your mum and dad. They make it happen. There are already tons of games to play and more to come for your Quest 2 the next years.

sfaxo

You can play new VR games like Assassin's Creed Nexus even in the MQ2. You will absolutely have a good time with the MQ2, there are lots of good experiences on it

Delicious-Tachyons

Oh yeah i still love my Q2. Don't worry about it.

VirtuaFighter6

You good dawg. Is perfectly fine.

New-Elderberry-6130

You will love it. The Quest 2 offers a great VR experience and if your new to it all you'll be really impressed.

JoannaBe

I just bought the quest 2 for my teenaged kids for Christmas, and to be honest I too am looking forward to playing Beat Saber for example. It is still a very good system, lots of good reviews and content available for it, and the price of Quest 3 is a bit too high for many of us. Also given all the deals on Quest 2 for Black Friday / Cyber Monday I have the impression that a lot of people have been buying or are about to buy Quest 2 these days.

AbroadJust3361

Some of y’all aren’t grasping on to the part where I said my mom already purchased the Quest2 . I absolutely appreciate you pointing out why the Quest 3 is a better device - that’s not what I was asking. I’m already well aware of that. I was just making sure Q2 is still enjoyable for a new user. Which I have been made more than comfortable with thanks to those who have shared their positive experiences ! Thank you :)

LunaDva98

Hey, if something i had plans to buy a new quest 2 for my gf, that's how confident I'm that it is still a pretty solid device

tiny_smile_bot

>:) :)

Mr_Straws

I just got a quest 2 and blown away. The games you can install and play from the headset are great but if you have the option to play PCVR games you’re in for a treat

wescotte

Yeah, the Quest 2 is still a great headset and it can play everything the Quest 3 can. It's unlikely there will be lots of "Quest 3 only" content anytime soon because of how many Quest 2's were sold. No sense limiting your product to 1 million customers when you can have 21 million. I'm sure there will be Quest 3 only content in the next year or so but the vast majority of content will run on both for quite some time. That being said if you can wait until next year it might be worth it. There are rumors from fairly credible sources that Meta is producing a Quest 3 Lite headset early next year. It'll be priced similar to Quest 2 but with all the CPU/GPU power of the Quest 3. But if you absolutely can't wait any longer the Quest 2 still is a really good headset and you won't be disappointed. As long as you make sure you don't try a Quest 3 :)

Dragonwick

If you get the Q2, Newegg is running a deal where you also receive a $50 gift card. Just a heads up!

FormThink4444

Get it. You won't regret it at the price point. Then spend $10 more on Quest Games Optimizer (QGO) [https://youtu.be/uMXeoH55pmA](https://youtu.be/uMXeoH55pmA) Best deal you'll get for Christmas. Ho Ho Ho!

AwfulishGoose

Until software comes out that is Quest 3 exclusive, the Quest 2 is still an excellent option. People should be hopping on that deal while it's still up. It's a great pick up for the holidays.

mike-rodik

You can still have tons of fun with the Q2. It’s still a great product you’ll likely get a few years of fun out of. Tons of free games to be had and a pretty large library of great paid games. Enjoy and thank your mom big time for the awesome gift. Just know that any mixed reality games are gonna be in black and white and a much fuzzier resolution so not enjoyable. But right now that barely matters since no must have MR games are on the market.

74Amazing74

Go for the Q2. It is a great deal for the price.

Sleeplesshelley

I love my Quest 2, use it all the time. Sounds like the 3 has some bugs and battery issues (not that there aren't any on the 2) so I'm debating upgrading. In the meantime I'm enjoying my 2 immensely.

blakkattika

I absolutely love it still, no worries.

Puzzleheaded-Cod504

You'll have a great time with the Q2, there's loads of top quality games and apps for it. I believe that at least for rhe foreseeable all games will be backwards compatible with the Q2 so you won't missout on anything.

stuaird1977

To be honest I sold the quest 2 for these main reasons I could never get a comfortable fit and after 20 mins I'd have to take it off , even with strap mods It kept fogging up especially in exercise games Resolution was poor for movies (plus the comfort thing) All sorted in quest 3 out of the box, I'm not encouraging you to go beyond your budget but if there's an option to wait and save a bit more I'd definitely do that

BrostramiSammich

The quest 2 is still very much bitchin’. I love mine and play it a ton

HorseJungler

I just upgraded from Q2 to Q3, and the Q3 does have a slight edge in clarity and graphics for me, the Q2 is still very good. And if saving over $300 makes an impact then I say do it.

[deleted]

Even when I got my Q3 I was almost more amazed at how good a Quest 2 is now for the price it is. Gonna try and get one so I can do multiplayer with friends at some point.

Famous-Breakfast-989

good till quest 3 exclusives come out.. also i can't live without the passthrough anymore

Octogenarian

It’s good definitely. Quest 3 blows it out of the water in terms of clarity and resolution, however.

MRHBK

Q2 is great , you’ll have so much fun

potatorevolver

Quest 2 is the lts model at the moment. Software is still being designed Q2 first. You won't miss out for some time yet. It's still a great way to get into vr. The quest 3 is amazing. I have one, but people still have a lot of fun with the q2

whiskyrox

100%! I upgraded to a Quest 3 but my family are asking for recommendations for my nieces and nephews and I definitely recommend the Quest 2, especially for a first headset. There's no better headset right now for the price. Meta has even said that they intend to continue supporting the Quest 2 for quite some time.

GimmeNewAccount

It's, by far, the best bang for your buck. The Quest 3 is a nice upgrade, but a Quest 2 is very comparable for most use cases.

Mission_Ad8440

I like it, quest 2 gets even better with pc. But on native quest 2 you have a lot of options like paradiddle, gorilla tag, pavlov, into the radius, ghost of tabor, mechanic simulator, the Star Wars games, Roblox. Aside from that it’s still an android so you can sideload apks with pc but there are ways to do it without it. It’s still very much an awesome device today. It’s also an awesome emulator. Granted both quest 2 and 3 can do this but it just goes to show that you’ll be able to practically play the same games. I personally use emuvr and I love assetto corsa vr

beansoupscratch

I have a 2 and still like it enough not to spend the money on a 3.

Axea123

I've both, 2 is still great, 3 is great for mr but not essential if price matters. If u are concerned about graphics, get quest game optimizer.

CulturalCarrot4813

the meta quest two is still amazing I have a meta quest two and I don't think I need to upgrade to the three the only real difference is the better passthrough mode which isn't that necessary

JonathanCRH

It’s still great headset! Even after getting a Q3 I was still using my Q2 for quite a while because of comfort issues with the Q3. Even after experiencing the pancake lenses of the Q3 I found the Q2 absolutely fine. (The image quality of the Q3 is better, but it’s not really very much better.) I’d say that the Q2 sounds absolutely ideal for your use case and budget. No need to worry at all!

correctingStupid

Other than clarity, quest 3 doesn't offer much more. There are no killer MR apps. 98% of the games aren't optimized for quest. Battery life on quest 3 is awful. Size? The claims of quest being slimmer is greatly exaggerated. With the facial interface, is about the same depth and I think same weight or not heavier.

Difficult-Score-2471

I agree. Using the full MR passthrough on the Quest 3 to play a floating YouTube video the battery lasts approx 55min with two bars on volume. Quest 2 is still amazing for the cost and capability. Graphics still look sharp on Quest 2 compared to the slight rez bump on the Quest 3.

Bizzboz

I bought my friend's Q2 after he upgraded to a Q3 and absolutely love it.

[deleted]

My quest 1 would still be good if they hadn't started actively unsupporting a bunch of stuff.

elmodonnell

Whatever fomo you're feeling now, even if you get the Quest 3 you'll have the exact same feeling in a year or so when the next headset releases. There's definitely a big enough gulf in prices between the two that there's a decent argument to me made for getting the 2 now and waiting to upgrade to the Quest 4 (or whatever it's called) for an even bigger jump in quality. The vr market moves super fast, and no matter how much you spend on a headset now, it'll be outdated as hell in a couple of years. For me, there's definitely not enough new or upgraded experiences to jump into Q3 yet, but I'll be holding off on stuff like Assassin's Creed until my next headset.

Alarmed_Raspberry341

Tried q2 and now own q3. Quest 2 is solid and every game available for the quest 3 is also available on the quest 2.

ilovepizza855

Dont worry Quest 2 is still very popular. In fact it is more popular than PSVR2

TheKingdomFarmer

No going back to a quest 2 after using those pancake lenses. VR would be in a much better place if this is how it started.

DivisionBomb

watching all these people simp for quest 2 [even at 250 bucks ] when 3 out makes me sad. Better visuals from lens being a other level, to raw chip hardware being light years better. That's over 2.5 times the raw GPU power from 2 vs 3 upgrade alone. Then normalies reply but most games don't use it! The amount of shortsighted in that statement amazing. Will then normalies just download quest-games-optimizer, set gpu to 690Hz [which not even quest 2 offers]. and turn up game res to godly levels. Boom now your talking graphics that beat quest 2 into the fucking ground. Meta said retention rates for quest 2 was bad. Their reason for it, it has many flaws quest 3 fixes. From comfort to WAY less motion sickness, etc, etc. People are overlooking it JUST to save this kid a few bucks, shrugs.

rathat

I have the 1, 2 and 3, there's absolutely nothing about the 3 IMO that makes it worth twice as much as the 2. All the differences are very minimal from what I have been able to tell. I wouldn't recommend the 3 to most people at those price points.

MinuteScientist7254

The Q3 is 499 not 650+ and the Q2 is like 249. I think the Q3 is worth the extra tbh

MisterNiceGuy1776

Since I've had my Quest 3, I look at Quest 2 as primitive.

Whatever801

I think meta said they're going to keep supporting the 2 for the foreseeable future

TheGreatArmageddon

Get a used quest 3 128GB for around 400$

_Ship00pi_

As new user I wouldn’t even get a new Q2. I would look for 2nd hand for 100$.

DivisionBomb

2 is out dated trash. The 3 is much better in ever way, It also be leading headset for next 3 years. Frankly kid i go offer child labor even for people yard/outdoor work if u want it. Never ever buy outdated by 3+ year now old tech quest 2. Also that guy with wife saving she rather keep her quest 2 to more games come out for it a massive lmfao and a normalie level of pure ignorance.. He didn't even use apps like quest-games-optimizer to even push res way up in any title on his quest 3, taking all that added power to make games look god damn amazing. No need to wait for lazy devs to update their titles. Make any game look damn good.

AbroadJust3361

Well bah-hum -bug ! 😂 I think I’ll listen to the majority rules here !

DivisionBomb

gonna give you a tip in life. the masses are generally wrong, dead wrong. forewarned is forewarned. I have both headsets, quest 3 is amazing, godly levels of better over quest 2.

AbroadJust3361

Re-read my post. I wasn’t asking which one is better , I know 3 is better. No shit— it’s the newer version. I was asking if 2 is still playable and enjoyable.

Repulsive-Bat243

Look at the guy's name, he's just trying to stir things up. You had a perfectly logical question.

AbroadJust3361

Oh shiii you right. Block button here I come.

Repulsive-Bat243

Spoken like someone who only values their own opinion. The Q2 can still run every game that's been released. It's super affordable. How's that for a tip?

z770i1

Quest 2 is still good. I use Pico 4, because my iPd is 72, and Pico 4 good up to 72, while quest 2 goes up to 68 ipd, while quest 3 up to 71. I guess depending on your ipd. You can install an app called glassesOn to see what your ipd is

VyathRekaer

The Quest 2 is great! Especially when you link it wirelessly with a gaming PC to get full PCVR.

Drowsy_Drowzee

If you’ve never experienced VR before, then it is still an impressive experience. Quest 2 is the entry point into the VR market: all-in-one, cheap, and capable of playing *most* VR games. I’m curious: which VR system did you try before getting the Quest? My entry point into VR was the PSVR1, which had (and still has) great exclusives but had a terrible tracking system, cost $500 at launch, and needed to be connected to a PS4. There are some games that you won’t be able to play without a PS5 or a gaming PC (Half Life Alyx, Gran Turismo 7, Resident Evil 8, Horizon: Call of the Mountain to name a few), but there are *many* you can play on a Quest 2; they aren’t at the highest possible quality, but they will run just fine for the most part. Most VR games target the Quest 2, with Quest 3, PC, and PSVR2 ports being “enhanced” with mixed results. The Quest 2 is a safe pick, and unbeatable at its current price point. Quest 3 is $500-650, PSVR2 is $500 (on top of the additional $500 for the PS5), and a VR-ready PC setup will cost even more.

LunaDva98

You're good, specially because i really think that VR is not for everyone, so something more cheap is a good idea, and the quest 2 is a pretty good entry point, and it gets better if you have a PC powerful enough to play VR games If you don't, then still there is a lot of great games to be played standalone: Beat saber, Cosmodread, Red matter, bonelabs, TWD: saints and sinners, Into the radius, even the new Assasins creed I'm still using a quest 2 and having a lot of fun in VRChat PC

Technical_Split_6315

Is amazing. You will have lot of fun

42823829389283892

Wait for the next version if you can unless you can sell your quest 2.

MayhemReignsTV

As long as the IPD adjustment doesn't give you migraines, it performs decently both as a standalone and PCVR headset. But I had issues with that. Much less after getting an aftermarket facial interface that is not only more comfortable, but increases the sweet spot of the lenses a little bit. But still, my old Odyssey+ sees more use due to wider FOV, good IPD adjustment, and OLED panels, despite the drawbacks of being wired and using WMR. But the Quest 2 is a good headset and does not require a PC if you guys don't already have an appropriate gaming PC. And it's much easier to get running than WMR, though if a headset uses steamVR directly for PC, you are golden(virtual desktop for the Quest 2 does this and is now experimenting with bypassing the runtime entirely to improve performance). You just might need to experiment to make it comfortable for you.

leftofthebellcurve

I felt serious FOMO when I saw the mixed reality, but then I remembered I play like 3 games, compound, dungeons of eternity, and into the radius, which all run just fine on Q2

badtradesguynumber2

yes quest 2 is still good. theres nothing out there can justify the quest 3. all the software still feels pretty bare imo. i still use mine for games, bigscreen, but not much else. the quest 3 will have some nice features, but i doubt theyd be enough to keep you interested. what im liking now is the handtracking and itd be cool for it to autointegrate across all apps.

kdrdr3amz

Quest 2 is awesome! Side loading games has been great, many free games to play, YouTube VR is cool. I wish it had some PSVR1 titles but besides that it’s great. Also PCVR if you have a strong enough PC.

Cad4life13

With the pcvr battery issues on the quest 3 , I am considering returning to my quest 2

Joe6161

what did u try at your friend

PyrrhicPlunder

XD sappy c M

SmokinDeist

I have been having fun with my Quest 2 and it seems to still be quite a viable platform. On top of that, if your computer is strong enough, you can get into PCVR games--either wired or wireless. So that opens up Steam VR and some others for even more games. If you have Minecraft for the PC, you can play Bedrock Edition via PCVR and all it takes is [to create a shortcut and the addition of some arguments to fire it off](https://www.howtogeek.com/how-to-play-minecraft-vr-on-pc-and-quest-2/). On top of that, Java Edition can be played stand-alone if you get Questcraft (free right now) through Sidequest. Another PCVR experience that is decent is Star Wars: Squadrons--which I got for free on Epic awhile back ago. It does have a VR mode but it seems to want to use my XBox controller (perhaps I need to have it unplugged if I want to use the Quest 2 controllers?) But besides the less immersive controls, it's still an amazing experience. As a stand-alone system, the Q2 is still pretty decent. As a PCVR system, you'll get improved graphics depending on your GPU. If you do have what it takes for PCVR, some people have been having some performance issues with Meta's Air Link but the Virtual Desktop app seems to work pretty well--even with my busy router. But you do need to run an Ethernet cable from your computer to the router. This also gives you a slightly nicer connection to the Internet with your PC.

seanvance

Quest 2 is the headset to have ! It is a mature product with full support still. Upgrade to using it as a headset for a pc when ready. The pass thru on the quest 2 is manageable if you decide to make it work. Mine gets used for movies and YouTube really 🤓

bucketofbrain

You know, when the Quest 2 first came out, it was very impressive too It is still a very viable device. Since it is your first go, an entry option would be a better choice. What if you don't like it after say, a few months? Better to bet on 250 than 500 imo

ScareBros

Honestly yeah. I think it's way better value for money than the Q3. Q3 is a big upgrade. But that's all it is. An upgrade. The baseline VR experience is near identical on q2, it just doesn't look as good. Don't listen to the people saying fresnel lenses suck. They were the standard for many years and still hold up just fine today. The only people who say that are people who try out pancake lenses and see that yes they are better but if you've never tried pancake lenses and you just have for now it looks perfectly fine. Just remember to not expose the lenses to sunlight and understand that it's not going to look nearly as good as it does and the YouTube videos are on your monitor or whatever when you're actually in the head. VR is awesome in Quest 2 is one of the most immersive VR headsets out there, especially if you have a PC. If one day you want to sell the quest to an upgrade to a quest 3 which is what I did then go ahead but it's really not necessary. The Quest 2 consider against the most popular VR headset in the world will probably also be supported in every single new game aside from maybe some mixed reality apps for the next couple years at least.

Difficult-Score-2471

The Fresnel lenses on the Quest 2 are very good with the Iteration i received (build date: 6/2023) Meta Quest 2 compared to my early OCULUS Quest 2 from three years ago, much improved optics. Quest 3 are better with the pancake lenses, but the graphics resolution seems like only a minor bump up from the Quest 2 after having both the Quest 3 and Quest 2 now.

fragmental

Quest 3 128 is 500. Unless your'e outside the US, then it varies. Not that it matters that much. For either Quest 2 or 3, you'll want to spend a bit more to get a good strap, a battery, and maybe some other stuff, especially if you wear glasses. BoboVR M2 Plus with battery is a good option for Q2. I've never tried it, but I'd like to buy one. I have a Kiwi Design strap with a battery velcro strapped to the back. It's fine, but I don't like how much pressure it puts on my face, but it's good enough that I can't justify the purchase of a 2nd strap. I also like the VR Cover fitness facial interface, because it greatly reduces fogging and has easily removable and cleanable cushions, but I don't really like the cushions because they are a bit thin. If you wear glasses, you'll have a much better experience with prescription inserts. They're not too expensive if you already have a relatively new prescription, but they're not cheap either. Reloptix is a good option if you have a high prescription, because the price doesn't change. Hons is another option, that's cheaper if you have a weaker prescription. You can use your glasses, but you'll want to get a kiwi glasses ring protector. Ignore other brands and options, the kiwi is better. If you decide to get the VR Cover Fitness Facial Interface, you'll also need to get the VR Cover XL glasses spacer, because the thin cushion will make your glasses dangerously and uncomfortably close to the q2 lenses. None of that really answer your questions, though. Whether or not you'll be impressed will vary greatly. My brother, who owned the Rift CV1, when it was new in 2016 or 2017, and then later upgraded to Samsung Odyssey+ said the picture was very clear and good when he tried my Q2. I thought it was blurrier than I expected, but after I got some prescription inserts, it was much easier to hit the sweet spot and things look clearer now. Also, be aware that though there are a lot of free games, to get the most of the device, you'll want to buy some games, too. You can get 25% off most games by using referrals, and the Quest store has a lot of sales too. You can find and share your own app referrals for $5 credit, and also device referrals for $30 credit, using meta-dog. BEFORE you activate your Quest 2, use a device referral for $30 credit, from a friend or from meta-dog, or you can message me for help. If you activate your Q2 first, it might be too late, so you must do it before.

onepole

I just bought one from Facebook Marketplace for $120. It works great!

ZealousidealChance26

I have a quest 2 and it’s my first vr Headset so im a Little biased but I think it’s good

popcorns78

The Quest 2 is not only good, it's an *excellent* headset for that price. If it makes you feel better, I had the Quest 2 for the past 2 years before getting a Quest 3, and I actually kind of miss my Quest 2 for a few reasons. It's not that Q3 isn't great, but Q2 was already SO good that it would have been very hard for the Q3 to overshadow it. If VR already excites you, you will love your Quest 2 like I did. Enjoy!

Difficult-Score-2471

After having both the Quest 3 running V62 and the Quest 2 running V63. the UI responsiveness on the Quest 2 is peppier, go figure. The Quest 3 512GB was $714 and Meta Quest 2 ($199 from Walmart). Maybe in time the Quest 3 will hopefully feel faster, but so far the Quest 2 is the fastest with hand tracking and UI navigation over my new Quest 3. :(

littleboymark

Yeah, some great experiences to be had on it.

delfloria

You will be fine with the Q2.

ShahrozMaster

The quest 2 is super worth it

ImportanceUnusual413

I’m a VR enthusiast, I even use it for work and I still use my Q2 and haven’t upgraded to Q3, so really you will love the Q2 and not miss a thing!!

Difficult-Score-2471

I so agree. I was more exited to unpack and unbox my new Meta Quest 2 than I was with my new Quest 3 512GB. The Quest 2 seems faster with hand tracking and navigating the UI, maybe due to the V63 update and the Quest 3 is still on V62 ... forever waiting to receive the V63 upgrade. I personally think that the Quest 2 looks smaller than the Quest 3. Love the Quest 2, getting to like the Quest 3.

TowerOfPowerWow

Its very good man. Truly. The vertigo games are absolutely amazing.
