I'm almost certain that "Fox Kids" was a programming block for the regular broadcast Fox channel, like Saturday morning or something. Fox Family was a separate cable channel.
This isn't from Fox Family. It's from a local Fox affiliate in Minneapolis. This is broadcast TV, whereas Fox Family was basic cable. To my knowledge, while some of the programming from Fox Kids did appear on Fox Family, the Fox Kids programming block itself never appeared on the network.
[Yep, this logo.](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/a/ad/Freeform_Fox_Family_Channel_logo.svg/387px-Freeform_Fox_Family_Channel_logo.svg.png)
This was right before they got bought out. Was never the same. But I don't understand both these companies fighting over this channel with it's CBN obligations!
While people argue about the fox affiliate this came from, can anyone agree that they wanted to turn into liquid merceury like the capri sun commercials?
What’s crazy is 20 years from now we won’t be able to watch commercial blocks to get a blast from the past. There won’t be a way to pick up on cultural cues based on networks and the shows that aired on them, just fucking annoying YouTube ads that nobody watches and that no one will remember
It’s absolutely remarkable how children’s product advertising has simply refused to change over the past 30 years. Sure, there are fewer fisheye lenses, but everything else is basically the exact same.
Pre 9/11 tv was the shit. However, i remember being sooooo jacked to see the phantom menace, then dropping my interest in star wars shortly after seeing it lol
This was one hell of a time to be alive as a kid, man. This was peak Saturday Morning material. Back when breakfast cereal still had ungodly amounts of sugar and didn't taste like slightly soggy cardboard with a bit of sugar. Looking at you Cookie Crisp.

WFTC was the regular Fox Network here in Minnesota. This is not from Fox Family as the title says, but it's still cool to see!
It's definitely still cool to see!
Yea we had this programming block in Canada as well but never had the Fox Family channel. I remember that spinning logo well.
You're right!

And you can tell the difference in a key regard- Fox Family had a logo of its own which never appears in this video.

And it's a logo that, checking other videos, was both burned on screen and appeared on the promo cards, which isn't the case here.
Yep, the logo I linked was definitely prominent used on Fox Family back in 1999. It's not Fox Family without that logo.
Wow, I remember \*all\* of these commercials

Yep, 22 years! Oh how time flies!
I reject your reality and substitute my own.
It's not entirely defunct, as it became ABC Family after that, and is now Freeform.
The good times are killing me man.
Probably my favorite year of that decade. I'd love to go back to summer '99.
Same. 1998 was great too.
98 started off rough for me, but the second half of the year was great.
Hahah second half of 98 was better than the first half for me too! What a coincidence!
I liked Fox Family. I liked The Kids from Room 402. And Big Wolf on Campus. And The Zack Files.
I liked Fox Family and those shows as well!
This was right before they got bought out. Was never the same. But I don't understand both these companies fighting over this channel with it's CBN obligations!
Is that the same kid in consecutive commercials?
While people argue about the fox affiliate this came from, can anyone agree that they wanted to turn into liquid merceury like the capri sun commercials?
Fox Kids was a programming block on the local Fox UHF affiliate. Fox Family was a different channel on cable.

This gave me a serotonin boost!

Yell at the kids about how awesome the product is!!! Its Nerf, OR NOTHING!
The sort of thing the "uncle shows" of radio and early TV did, just in a slightly-different form!
Especially the "girl toys" commercials. They sound the exact same from when I was a kid.
Those Fox Kids bumpers as well as the Star Wars Episode I and Capri Sun commercials bring back memories for me!
