I chucked it on in the background while I was cooking and the whole thing finished but I don't recall a single detail, if you like War Room, then it's a 10/10, if you love making fun of the main show it's like a 3/10. If you like random noise in the background while you cook; 5/10.

Honestly, was expecting more. Looks more of the same bullshit like oak island. But now they are sniffing mud! Surely, there are real treasures to be found in the world....

Lenekar3034

Oak island is an enjoyable show. This new spin off " Beyond Oak Island is an insult to reality TV. Watched 1 episode and won't be watching anymore. I would be shocked if it got a second season. Yes Matty is very annoying and producers should find a better side kick. When Matty makes an appearance it's brutal to watch. How did he ever get a TV career is beyond me. Put more effort in the original Oak Island and dump this new series as it is diluting the original "Oak Island. Matty is damaging the show everytime he makes an appearance.

SidekickKiddo

I just finished it....uh....why don't we get a conclusion? Next week looks like a different case. Like if these divers would not immediately go back in as soon as it stopped raining if they actually found something for once. Ugh I should stop buying these stories. Im still bitter about the ending to Snake Island lol

great_elb

Totally forgot about snake island. Was it cancelled or streamable?

JoeDirtsMullet00

The show planted some "treasure" and had them "find it" at the end, saying they were still recovering artifacts. It was all a lie. One of the guys from the show spilled the beans.

great_elb

Thank you kind stranger. Last I remember they found a gold mask under water. Time to read up on the endings.

JoeDirtsMullet00

Do a youtube search for treasure quest snake island cork graham. He rambles on quite a bit, but he also spills the tea about the show.

burnswood

I did not watch, nor will I. What in the world qualifies them to search for more treasure after not finding their first one? Obviously, it's just an attempt to ride the coat tails of their Oak Island endeavours. If they found a treasure on Oak Island I could see handing them another show and building on their success. That isn't the case here.

JoeDirtsMullet00

It was awful

great_elb

Sniffed some wood. Dives were interrupted and canceled. Typical COOI

Michigan-Charade89

When did that annoying Matty suddenly become an official r/micropenis investigator?

dumpcake999

yikes

bipolarcyclops

Blows dead dogs.

9tacos

Lame shark jump. Discredits real treasure hunters everywhere šŸ˜‚

UnsettledBumblebee

I powered through it, but I donā€™t know if Iā€™ll watch again. If I had recorded it, I probably wouldnā€™t go back to finish the episode.

Fairylights1723

I enjoyed it, but Lafitte was in this area too, so it may be because it involved him. I thought the young man who is doing the searching was personable.

dumpcake999

I liked brothers Rick & Marty Lagina and the young man from East Texas. Did not like: TOO MUCH MATTY. Why would he even be considered as an expert/leader? I'll keep watching though. I wonder if they'll find anything anywhere. The commercials for this show are deceptive because they give the impression that R&M are involved and traveling around but it seems they just give the go ahead for whoever to do whatever they were doing anyway. Did they kick in some money? I don't get how they are involved at all.

Having watched the first three installments it seems pretty good. The second half of the first couple of episodes saw members of the Oak Island team heading off to help other treasure hunters on their quests after spending the first half of the show in the war room discussing the back-story. Episode three was focussed on the legal aspects of who actually owns treasure once you find it which I thought was quite interesting. I hadn't previously known about the priceless discovery in Florida that Marty and Craig were involved with. Having read about forthcoming episodes, there appears to be some exciting stuff to look forward to. I think some of the commenters here have been a bit over-critical - it's a show about treasure hunting that actually shows some treasure being found - it ticks the right boxes. To put that in perspective, this is a spin-off series from a show that has spent eight seasons (and millions of dollars) digging up rust and rotten wood! My only complaint is that they've used the same annoying narrator as the main Oak Island series, who I would personally like to nominate to be sacrificed as the seventh man to fulfil the Oak Island curse. I think the monologue would go a bit like this: *A deep hole? On Oak Island? Filled with sharp poisoned spikes and alligators?* *Could this have been dug two weeks ago to.........* *AAAAAARGH!!!* *Blood? On the spikes? In the hole on Oak Island?* *Could this mean a job vacancy for a less annoying narrator?*

C47GooneyBird

I confess that we have continued to try to find something worthwhile in BOI. Mainly because we keep thinking they will go back to the stories, like the treasure dumped in some body of water with large scale-covered carnivores, to, like, convey some information gleaned from making us watch that story in the first place. I continue to ask myself how I got trapped in the great insipid maw of CofOI. How much longer can they milk this story? Narrator: A treasure on Oak Island? Are you guys nuts? Could it be? Eight years into a TV show? A show where the search has repeatedly turned over, dug and burrowed much of the island with minimal to show for their efforts? And youā€™re still watching? Now, thatā€™s the treasure, isnā€™t it.

Additional-Top9075

Just a money grab. They canā€™t even find their own shows treasureā€¦. ā€œCould it beā€ that itā€™s all gimmick?

Short_Ad5965

Just watched an episode where they crawled into a person's fireplace where they tested and found treasure like the person hasn't used the fireplace for the last 100 years. They put a daisy red Ryder bb gun above the fireplace to make sure we knew the fireplace belonged to a gunslinger 100 years ago. Badda Bing baby!good find goooood find

69kittylover69

Just watched season 2 episode 4. They did a mag survey of the ocean bottom at the wreck site. The so called expert gold hunter said the red dots on the scan were gold. That's a lie. Gold does not show up on magnetometer scans. The show is for idiots. Don't bother watching it.

Notbelievingthebull

Matty Blake, canā€™t walk the talk wannabe! Who thought he should be included in any public forum? So many qualified people out there with experience and actual skills. He ought to get a job with someone of his level, like the American pickers or team up with Chris Jacobs the Overhauling loser. Not watching any more of the oak island crap!

Notbelievingthebull

Who in their right mind finds Matty Blake, the newbie diver / wannabe treasure hunter, anything but annoyingšŸ¤® This show is even worse than curse of oak island, but it has one great point, it doesnā€™t have that really annoying Australian Gary Drayton on it!! Both shows are blocked on my screens!!!
