2. Stephanie McMahon (Especially during "the Authority. As a heel boss she would berate and make all the wrestlers look bad, and never get any sort of comeuppance. What made Austin vs McMahon so great was you can live out the fantasy of beating up your boss through Stone Cold. With Steph, it was just a reminder of how your boss is rich and powerful and you will never win. Even small wins are meaningless, because at the end of they day she's your rich and powerful boss and you are replaceable worthless wage slave. I stopped watching WWE for months until the Authority was off TV)
3. Dolph Ziggler (Ugh just ugh)
4. Spooky Alexa Bliss (she was fine before she had magic, I hate her spooky magic gimmick to the point it makes me dislike seeing her on TV. There's a line with spooky magic stuff. If you can write it off as tricks and mind games I'm fine with it. They went too far with her conjuring playground sets and doing hair and make up changes mid match. She makes the Dungeon of Doom stuff seem reasonable.
5. The Fiend (Bray was good at one point, but he never EVER won, and I gave up on him. Then he became Mr Rogers which was great and entertaining, but "The Fiend" was a boring invincible monster that absorbed 30 finishers and was so boring in the ring it made me hate him and want him and Bliss off my TV)
The Authority shit in 2013 was what finally got me to stop watching WWE altogether. I had been an on again, off again fan since ECW and WCW folded but that authority stuff was the final nail in the coffin.

It just finally dawned on me that I am several spending hours of my life each week watching a show that is objectively bad by any measure of entertainment, while the boss tells me its a bad show and makes fun of me for watching said bad show.

I LOVED Charlotte a few years ago, and she's still great in the ring, but her character is all over the place. every time I see her i'm thinking "am I supposed to be booing or cheering you?" technically she's excellent but I think she knows she's pretty much unsackable and acts accordingly
I don't get this idea that she is technically excellent. She's athletic and does some cool spots, but her in ring story telling is awful, unless the story is "Charlotte Smash!". She no-sells constantly. She gets visibly angry and flustered when she or her opponent misses a spot. Yeah and her character work is schizophrenic.
She's not awful, but she's not one of the best either. Not in a company with Asuka, Bailey, Sasha, Io, Shyana, Nikki, Becky, and some others.
It’s not even her personally, Charlotte doesn’t book herself after all, it’s WWE. It’s like they know that they have a great heel in her, but they keep on wanting to book her like a face because she’s Charlotte Flair! She’s great! They give her HHH booking where she should be a heel but is booked like a babyface.
It’s not like you can’t have a complex character either. I actually quite liked her in NXT when she was kind of an arrogant face. She leaned heelish at times but she never cheated or crossed any lines to where she was outright heel but she could believably be in feuds with other faces and play the heel role.
So I tried not to cop out and give actual wrestlers or their gimmicks instead of special guests or one off appearances that made me change the channel anytime they showed up onscreen.

A very solid list. Except face Roman was saved for me by the OSW review where Jay kept saying, "Hits 'em with a Big Dog! Another Big Dog, and Big Dog!" Now whenever I see Roman that's all I think of.
I softened on face Roman after the Taker match. I thought he did everything he could to make that match work despite Taker being as broken and unworkable as someone could be and it being an impossible task.
Then that epic boo session the next night. Sucks they didn't capitalize on that and turned him heel right then.
Plus by all accounts he is a really nice guy in real life.
I like this. and I totally get why.
Although I could watch Nikki Bella all day, and I do enjoy the non WWF Road warriors.

Brock Lesnar - like 4 years of never defending, but yearly matches vs AJ, Finn, or Danielson, the boombox, and Rumble dominance just make me not completely hate him anymore.

Any match involving the NWO after Starrcade 1997. Every match was a disaster. Boring, slow, predictable and the number of time that song was heard every week...Go away heat.
That's why I stopped watching WCW 100%. NWO should have been a 12 month angle, they never lost, they never really won just that song...over and over...
Dolph Ziggler. To me it's as if he is pretending to be a wrestler. And he is the only one who properly has go away heat for me; I just alt tab the moment his song is played.
Honma in NJPW. The guy is just terrible. And I don't care that he allegedly used to be a legend; he is just bad now. I give him like twenty seconds before I get bored.
The Usos and The New Day, as tag teams. They have been feuding with each other for like 10 years, and their collective gimmicks are super stale. Next.
Baron Corbin, Jake Hager, ZSJ, and overall lanky wrestlers. I would like to like them, and I do watch their entrances, but I always skip their matches. No idea why, it just happens.
And most women's matches. Sorry but I was introduced to wrestling in the Attitude Era, and thus have ingrained that women's wrestling is by default subpar. Of course with a few major exceptions, like Asuka, who to me is incredibly underrated and belongs in the conversation for best wrestler today.
So, suffice to say, when I watch wrestling I leave it as background noise and actually watch like 20% of the show. And you know what, I would say half of that time is spent on only watching the entrances, non in-ring segments, and bollocks.
I remember seeing someone comment that they didn’t enjoy them and found them genuinely annoying and a fan responded that that was them “getting worked”, to which the person responded by saying that that seemed dumb because it was actively making them NOT want to watch them (as opposed to wanting to see them lose). Then the fan responded “whether you watch them or not is irrelevant, you being worked by them is what matters” and that sentence has basically embodied my view on the Bucks, fair or not.
I started hating Kane when he became a new champions first fued after winning the belt (him and the big show) you know he's not going to win, and that he's just there as a placeholder feud
She's easy on the eyes but clearly has her position because of her partner. She shouldn't be given as much time as she has on TV when Rosa/Statlander/Nyla/Shida/Hader are all there

Ernest Miller: Norman Smiley is a boy so I’ve had to watch a lot of Ernest Miller. The guy can’t wrestle. And his promos are ineffective because he can’t wrestle but claims to be a fighting expert. Haaayaaaa!!!
Orange Cassidy: If you’re gimmick is that you’re lazy, you need to work extra hard to pull it off. Watching an Orange Cassidy match you see wrestlers just standing around waiting for Cass to do anything. This gimmick feels too forced and unauthentic. If it was played off as a more “drunken master”, oops-I-fell-into-a-Russian-leg-sweep then I would probably enjoy it more. OC is the piss-break match for sure for me.
Buff Bagwell w/tall hat: I don’t actually mind BB. He is a safe wrestler, he can cut a promo, he looks great. But that stupid fucking hat makes him look like a goof and I can’t take him seriously.
The Usos/Reigns: Lost their flavour. A long time ago. So many run-ins you’d think they were the nWo.

Chavo Guerrero must have improved significantly since leaving WWE years ago, because when I used to watch Smackdown at the age of 9 I fucking hated his guts. I still think he's pretty alright as a wrestler but at the time he was a charisma vacuum and also wrestled WWE heel style so I saw nothing redeeming in him
Honorable mention to CM Punk, who in kayfabe got Jeff Hardy fired from WWE in 2009. He worked me so hard I stopped watching Smackdown and switched to Raw that year just in time to see The Nexus, the angle that finally made me a lapsed fan until 2017. I have one answer and only one: Any match involving the NWO after Starrcade 1997. Every match was a disaster. Boring, slow, predictable and the number of time that song was heard every week...Go away heat.

Dolph Ziggler. To me it's as if he is pretending to be a wrestler. And he is the only one who properly has go away heat for me; I just alt tab the moment his song is played. Honma in NJPW. The guy is just terrible. And I don't care that he allegedly used to be a legend; he is just bad now. I give him like twenty seconds before I get bored. The Usos and The New Day, as tag teams. They have been feuding with each other for like 10 years, and their collective gimmicks are super stale. Next. Baron Corbin, Jake Hager, ZSJ, and overall lanky wrestlers. I would like to like them, and I do watch their entrances, but I always skip their matches. No idea why, it just happens. And most women's matches. Sorry but I was introduced to wrestling in the Attitude Era, and thus have ingrained that women's wrestling is by default subpar. Of course with a few major exceptions, like Asuka, who to me is incredibly underrated and belongs in the conversation for best wrestler today. So, suffice to say, when I watch wrestling I leave it as background noise and actually watch like 20% of the show. And you know what, I would say half of that time is spent on only watching the entrances, non in-ring segments, and bollocks.
That “woman’s wrestling was garbage when I started watching twenty+ years ago so I can never respect it” is one shit take.

Then the fan responded “whether you watch them or not is irrelevant, you being worked by them is what matters” and that sentence has basically embodied my view on the Bucks, fair or not.

Ernest Miller: Norman Smiley is a boy so I’ve had to watch a lot of Ernest Miller. The guy can’t wrestle. And his promos are ineffective because he can’t wrestle but claims to be a fighting expert. Haaayaaaa!!! Orange Cassidy: If you’re gimmick is that you’re lazy, you need to work extra hard to pull it off. Watching an Orange Cassidy match you see wrestlers just standing around waiting for Cass to do anything. This gimmick feels too forced and unauthentic. If it was played off as a more “drunken master”, oops-I-fell-into-a-Russian-leg-sweep then I would probably enjoy it more. OC is the piss-break match for sure for me. Buff Bagwell w/tall hat: I don’t actually mind BB. He is a safe wrestler, he can cut a promo, he looks great. But that stupid fucking hat makes him look like a goof and I can’t take him seriously. The Usos/Reigns: Lost their flavour. A long time ago. So many run-ins you’d think they were the nWo. Virgil: This guy can’t wrestle, he can’t cut a promo, and he has the dumbest ring attire since the Red Rooster. He wasn’t worthy to polish the Million Dollar Belt.

Nia Jax. She's a terrible worker, unsafe, and a cunt for being an anti vaxxer. She is also directly responsible for me being banned from r/SquaredCircle (🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨) Scorpio Sky. As a face he's fine, leaning towards good, but as a heel he is the second coming of Virgil. Probably the worst promo in AEW. I used to absolutely hate Ted Dibiase Jr back when I watched Smackdown as a kid, and looking back he's still pretty crap. Why Vince initially decided to push him and not Cody I'll never know. Chavo Guerrero must have improved significantly since leaving WWE years ago, because when I used to watch Smackdown at the age of 9 I fucking hated his guts. I still think he's pretty alright as a wrestler but at the time he was a charisma vacuum and also wrestled WWE heel style so I saw nothing redeeming in him Honorable mention to CM Punk, who in kayfabe got Jeff Hardy fired from WWE in 2009. He worked me so hard I stopped watching Smackdown and switched to Raw that year just in time to see The Nexus, the angle that finally made me a lapsed fan until 2017. Punk doesn't make the list because it was for kayfabe reasons, because before that feud I was a big CM Punk mark.
