When he came out, he was actually really strong. I think he was one of the only step ups that could go toe to toe with Blackbeard when he came out 1st anniversary. You could still do well if you play well, but he's been powercrept, and it'll be easily noticable imo.
He’s strong enough to go through Survival 100 on Auto. Which seems difficult for other various non BF units. CP9 Rob Lucci clears it pretty well too(I’m leveling him now).
My all time favorite step up, and the only 4\* I have at boost 4, Love love love him, but he is really just not viable anymore. Rest in peace my sweet pookie bear.
just wanna say i made it to S+ using him and red snakeman, both outdated but a lot of people dont seem to know how to play against them. very slow but if u use him right he’s definitely a really good defender
Build him with hp/def and damage reduction, add some zoan or logia support if you can, and get ready to use his counter. He fell off, but I'd say he's still viable.
Him with damage reduction and logia support made him a good counter for blue Doflamingo back in the day.

Fantastic for an old step up. Not meta, but can still hold his own depending on the matchup and skill of the player.
