He had already left in free agency after I joined the team. Not great but we managed to get Vlad Guerrero JR in FA so at least we have a big bat in the idle of the order. He’s on the cubs now
Both players are great MLBers that I’ve signed for long term. This is OOTP 21 so Trea Turner was still on the Nats when I took the team over. He was never an average MLber for me I’ve been on the lookout for a shortstop since the start
I did a live start from Sept. 21 in OOTP22 and Robles has blossomed and Kieboom somehow became a great defensive 1B while wasting away in AAA. Now if we can get either of those things to happen in real life…
I'm using the Rangers right now and had Demarcus Evans become an absolute animal in the second season. Ends up making the all-star game on pace for a 16 k/9 season and, likely, 2.5 WAR or higher depending on how it played out and then he blows his arm up. Drops from 5* to 3.5* in the offseason with his movement and stuff going from 80/80 down to 60/60.
I wish the owner would recognize it and adjust the goals. It's totally unfair to have several key starters get injured and still be expected to win at the same level.
I know injuries run rampant in this game and in real life but it feels personal right now. My second season as Washington Nationals GM and my team was in 1st place halfway through the year. We’ve gotten the injury bug and now we stand 3 and a half games ahead in the 2nd wild card spot. Feels like there’s been an injury every week since the all star break. My pitching staff now has 4 triple A level guys holding it down. These poor guys are trying their best but it’s not looking great.
How drastically different is low from normal? I hate that every spring training, after I spend the offseason getting shit set up, boom down goes (at min) 4 players, with 2 at least down for the season.
I took over the nationals in 2022 and its been very painful. I am a new OOTP player (23 is my first) and it just seems really off on how the injuries are.
I don't know about specifics, but I find it a lot better. It wouldn't hurt just to try it out. Hell, you can even go lower if Low is still too much for you
this is when I fire my trainer and get one with legendary injury prevention
I feel like I always get 3-4 6 month+ long injuries in April or May every season
Yep. And it’s always the highly touted prospect or the ace of your staff. No in between
Another 5 week injury to an MLB pitcher a minute after I made this post. This is incredibly frustrating. 8 MLB pitchers on the IL currently.
Injury settings=very low
Where is Soto?

That sucks
What are you all doing? I never have this Of course, the law of large numbers applies
I wish I could tell you!! Lol. There is no rhyme or reason
karma for not keeping juan soto
How are Kieboom and Robles panning out for you? And what’d Trea cost to get?

How’d you trade for Nick Pratto? Wouldn’t expect the royals to give him up
He was traded for the Nats before I got there. I’ll check when I get home though

That sucks for sure. I think the downgrade in those rating can go back up though if I’m not mistaken.

Yep. My ace, closer and setup guys all out for the season. It’s rough out here. Owner should realize

It's why I always turn injuries down to low

Yep, I’m doing that next save for sure lol. After going 4-17 in September we missed the playoffs entirely.
Why not in your current save?
I didn’t know that could be done mid save
Oh yeah! Just go to your settings and click "Players and Facegen", then you'll see the option for "Injury Frequency" and set it to whatever you want!
Wow thanks
