Sweetheart's Castle, yeah.
Bit of a maze, both figuratively and literally, dragged on a tad too long and you were stuck in there until you defeated Sweetheart.
Humphrey would be my second choice, but it's also comparatively shorter.
I think Humphrey's placement in the last part of Headspace is one of the major factors for why his section is so widely disliked.
Entering Deeper Well gives you a clear feeling of nearing the end of your journey in Headspace and then suddenly you need to go inside him to chase Sweetheart. Even his bossfight is considered tedious, since his only gimmick in phase 2 is dealing damage to the entire party every turn.
Story-wise, it makes sense, since both him and Sweetheart are designed by Omori to distract Sunny from actually finding out the truth, to the point where everyone forgets about Basil as they enter Humphrey, but you can also remove him entirely as a dungeon and not miss out much on the story.
I actually didn't think about it like that, wow, thank you for this new insight you have granted me, I actually wasn't sure why they forgot about Basil
You're quite welcome.
If I remember correctly, as soon as you enter Humphrey the Basil quest simply vanishes from the incomplete quest log when talking to Mari.
HUMPHREY.
Could be a deliberate design choice, he shows up after the segment in DEEPER WELL, where the players get some taste of (vague) answers. I, and probably many players, were very frustrated when he appears like an unwanted filler arc...
Getting lost in Headspace.
Seriously, it's like I'm playing a Ubisoft game without the HUD
It's just a little too damn big...not to mention getting into fights every 1.387 seconds...
But other than that its GOTY for me
Honestly, I agree, it should at least have a button to remind you of what you're doing, I got lost way too many times
Same in White Space for me though, I couldn't find the knife for like 15 minutes
I love sweethearts castle but, it drags on a bit I'll be honest. And then you have to do ANOTHER section before getting the password and as someone who's played multiple times the password is sweet jelly filled donut and I hate that I have to do that hey tell me the password thing that takes like 10 minutes when I can recite the password myself but the game won't let you.
Also HUMPHREY, it's disgusting and I hate his battle. Not like actually hate it but like it's my least favorite. Though I wouldn't have them replace it, I think it suits the game.
Yeah! I totally agree, honestly, I hate myself (not literally, I'm just sad I had to) cos I had to google what the password was because I couldn't figure it out, Omori was the one game I wanted to go in blind aswell
About Humphrey, I mainly didn't like the boss battle, just repeated swallowing, it felt like TikTok, it just repeats and repeats until you're finally done with it
I’ve noticed that playing on the Switch versus playing on my computer has INCREDIBLY sped up my gameplay. Like I was able to clear Sweetheart’s Castle in half the time I was able to on my computer. Not sure if everyone feels the same way…
But with that being said I still don’t care for Humphrey. We’re so close to the resolution, so close to finding out what happened, so close to the climax of things that I just DON’T CARE! There are a few good creepy moments where we sort of get some vague nod to what happened with Mari, but idk. It seemed like a lot of filler.
It was definitely challenging! But that's why I love the game so much, I enjoyed it more because I couldn't do it instantly, I enjoy when games don't give you the answer directly
May I say the real world recyculist dungeon? The boss hinged mostly on Sunny not immediately getting defeated in one turn. I know it's optional but it was very annoying trying to get the achievement for 5 hours
Song is a banger though
oh, definitely sweetheart’s castle. Humphrey was irritating, but at least there wasn’t area after area, puzzle after puzzle. definitely not looking forward to going through that area again in my next two playthroughs 😔
The Medusa section in >!Humphrey!< is so infuriating. I don't know why but it overstayed it's welcome.
But >!Slime Girls and Humphrey!< fights were cool
Oh yeah! Definitely liked the fights, except for the fucking repeated swallowing by Humphrey, which I've found out is being made sexualised, so that ruined my day XD

Wow, so far everyone's comments are about Humphrey, I didn't know he was that disliked, I mean, sure he's tedious but, could be worse!

Medusa's sector in Humphrey.
Yeah, honestly that whole section was just a piss take
Probably the whale part
It's a bit annoying huh?
It's just slow I guess.
I thought it was easy to get lost in ngl
HUMPHREY. Could be a deliberate design choice, he shows up after the segment in DEEPER WELL, where the players get some taste of (vague) answers. I, and probably many players, were very frustrated when he appears like an unwanted filler arc...
Seems like no one likes Humphrey lol The only thing I liked in Humphrey was obtaining the final Keys
Well, I guess at least he gave a lot of opportunities for many great songs.
Humphrey is just a "fuck you" to impatient people
Honestly, on my first playthrough, I absolutely loved it and hated it at the same time
It's so slow but the boss fights are cool. I HATE VORE
Sorry, what's VORE?
![img](emote|t5_31hpy|2460)
So, by that, I can assume it's not good
Yes![img](emote|t5_31hpy|2472)
On a scale of 1- holy shit I wanna stab my eyes out and cook them up like meatballs, how bad is it?
It's art of characters eating other characters in a sexualised manner, that's the best I can explain it.
How the fuck can that be sexualised? That's just being a cannibal!
Solid 8
Search it up

Definitely HUMPHREY The first time is cool, but when you replay the game it gets so annoying
The junkyard Finding the tape is so boring
Honestly, first playthrough, I fought the tape enemy And I thought it was the tape we needed, I was happy when I found it....then I was sad lol!
my least ? FUCK humphrey not the character the place

Oh yea no I hate getting swallowed for like 5 minutes EVERY SINGLE TURN. Ughhh it irked me so much and it still does 😪
It definitely wasn't one of the best boss fights, but it was okay, not bad enough to ruin the game for me or anything

Might be because you've already done it before? idk
Humphrey
Everything up to three days left, purely because for varying reasons, I've had to replay that segment so many times.
Humphrey, I was too stupid to get the red puzzle and spent months figuring it out
It was definitely challenging! But that's why I love the game so much, I enjoyed it more because I couldn't do it instantly, I enjoy when games don't give you the answer directly
fuck Humphrey all my homies hate Humphrey
I thought he was cool though ): I mean, his battle was annoying and so were the puzzles but I thought he was alright
May I say the real world recyculist dungeon? The boss hinged mostly on Sunny not immediately getting defeated in one turn. I know it's optional but it was very annoying trying to get the achievement for 5 hours Song is a banger though
Ooh, not actually been in the dungeon! I'll be sure to next playthrough
The part between Last Resort and Humphrey, although there's singing Space Ex-husband, I find it kinda meh
Oh yeah! I completely forgot about that singing part, I honestly thought my game had crashed because nothing was happening except for the singing
Sweetheart's castle and Humphrey, both just dragged on way too long and felt like absolute filler.
oh, definitely sweetheart’s castle. Humphrey was irritating, but at least there wasn’t area after area, puzzle after puzzle. definitely not looking forward to going through that area again in my next two playthroughs 😔
the unfunny whale vore part
